	Memorial services for Leta E. Barker, 78, who died Fri., Nov. 27, 
1981, will be at 2:40 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with Rev. 
Doug Dickens and Rev. Lloyd Cloud officiating.

FREDDA MARCENE CANTLIN

	Marcene Cantlin (May), 52, died Fri., Nov. 27, 1981, at her home.
	She had been a resident of Hot Springs for the past 7 yrs. And 
was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Blytheville, Arkansas, 
and was a computer processor for Southwestern Bell, and was an active member 
of the American Red Cross.
	Survivors include her husband, Gerald R. Cantlin of Hot Springs; a 
son, James R. Cantlin of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Jeri Simon of Pine Bluff 
and Sharon L. Russell of Alvarado, Texas; one brother, William May of Santa 
Clara, California; and four grandchildren.
	Arrangements will be announced later by Gross Funeral Home.

JEROME E. CATLETT

	Cryptside service for Infant Jerome Eugene Catlett will be at 
3 p.m. Mon. at Crestview Mausoleum with Dr. O. L. Bayless officiating.
	Gross Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

BERNADETTE FOX

	Bernadette Fox, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1981, in a local 
hospital.
	She had been a resident of Hot Springs for the past 18 yrs., and 
was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
	Survivors include her husband, James R. Fox of Hot Springs; a 
sister, Aileen Carter of Sawyer, Michigan; a niece, Mrs. Bernadette Thomas 
of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
	Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Mon. at the Crestview Cemetery with 
Father Ralph Bauer officiating.
	Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Gross 
Funeral Home.

JAMES LITVINKO

	James Litvinko, 91, died Sat., Nov. 28, 1981, at his home.
	Born in Russia, he was a former resident of Chicago, Illinois, 
where he was a real estate salesman and janitor.
	He is survived by his wife, Josephine Litvinko of Hot Springs; 
two step-daughters, Josephine Schmidt of Bellville, Indiana, and Gen 
Beckerer of Ocean Springs, Massachusetts; and a nephew.
	Arrangements for cremation will be by Caruth Funeral Home.

RALPH H. MARX

	Ralph H. Marx, 78, died Sat., Nov. 28, 1981, in a local hospital.
\	Born at West Salem, Illinois, he was a businessman in Chicago for 
50 yrs.  He had lived in Hot Springs for the past three yrs.  He was a 
veteran of WW I.
	Survivors include his wife, Caroline Marx of Hot Springs; two sons, 
Don Marx of Hot Springs, and Ralph Marx Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; and 
six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
	Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Monday in the Caruth Funeral 
Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Jacobs officiating.
	Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction 
of Caruth Funeral Home.

BESSIE M. MURRAY

	Bessie May Murray, 72, died Sat., Nov. 28, 1981, in a local 
hospital.
	She was a housewife and a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist 
Church.
	Survivors include her husband, William "Guy" Murray of Hot Springs; 
a son, Jerry Worthington of Hot Springs; a brother, Monroe Tuggle of Hot 
Springs; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
	Services will be at 10 a.m. Tues. with Rev. A. J. Simpson officiating.
	Pallbearers will be Eugene Tuggle, Danny Travis, A.J. Lane, Keith 
Kroha, A. C. Barrett and Frank Barrett.
	Burial will be in Fairplay Cemetery under the direction of Caruth 
Funeral Home.

	Graveside services for Willie Owens, 87, who died Thurs., Nov. 26, 
1981, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Gilcrist Cemetery at Friendship with Rev. 
Wayne Newton officiating.
	Gross Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
 
ROBERT E. ROREX
	Services for Robert E. Rorex, 70, who died Fri., Nov. 27, 1981, 
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James 
E. Hill Jr. officiating.
	Pallbearers will be Bill Heroman, Harding Ruffin, Gilma Freeman, 
C. W. Holloway, Ed Brazil, Tom Grant, Homer Weatherford, and Robert Heflin.
	Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery 
in Pine Bluff.
	The family requests that memorials be made to the Central Baptist 
Church.

GILBERT ROSS

	Gilbert Ross, 76, died Sat., Nov. 21, 1991, in a local hospital.
	He was a native of Brooklyn, New York and a resident of Hot Springs 
for the past 6 years.  He was a Catholic and a retired Pullman porter.
	Survivors include his wife, Anna Ross of Hot Springs; one daughter, 
Gladys Ross of New York; two sisters-in-laws, Jennie Thompson and Della Hipp, 
both of Brooklyn, New York; two nephews, Roger and Octavia Graham of New York.
	Services will be at 10 a.m. Mon. in Page Mortuary Chapel with a priest 
from St. John’s Church officiating.   Cremation will follow.
	Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. today 
in Page Mortuary Chapel.

ARTHUR A. SNODGRASS

	Arthur A. Snodgrass, 72, died Sat., Nov. 28, 1981, in a local hospital.
	He had been a lifelong resident of Hot Springs and was of the Baptist 
faith.
	Survivors include his wife, Ellie Marie Snodgrass of Mount Ida; a 
brother, Albert Snodgrass; and three step-daughters, Donna McCoy, Barbara 
Cross, both of Hot Springs, Pat Gwinn  of Mount Ida; several nieces and 
nephews.
	Services will be at 11 a.m. Tues. graveside at Rushfork Cemetery 
with Rev. Floyd Hurst Sr. officiating.
	Pallbearers are Sammy Harvey, Rickey Harvey, Frank McCoy, Eric 
Johnson, Clinton McCoy, Steve Harvey.
	Burial will be in Rushfork Cemetery under the direction of Gross 
Funeral Home.

MARY C. SOKOL

	Mary C. Sokol, 82, died Sun., Nov. 22, 1981m at a local hospital.
	She had been a resident of Hot Springs for the past 20 yrs. And was 
a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
	Survivors include five brothers, Mike Wicykowski, of Dennison, Texas, 
Eddie Wicykowski of Enfield, Connecticut, Steve Wicykowski, of Ely, Minnesota,  
Albert Wicykowski of Hinsdale, Illinois, Pete Wicykowski of Hot Springs.
	Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tues. at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel 
with Father Ralph Bauer officiating.
	Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery by Gross Funeral Home.


ALBERT P. THOMAS

	Services for Albert P. Thomas, 74, who died Tues., Nov. 24, 1981, will 
be at 10 a.m. Mon. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Kepple 
officiating.
	Pallbearers will be Edward Ellis, Richard Pennington, Pete Hill, Merlin 
Norton, Wallace Holman, and Lester Chesser.
	Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. G. Maruthur, Dr. K. K. Jayaraman, Dr. 
Hersey and staff of 5 north V. A. Hospital in Little Rock, the Sisters of Mercy 
of St. Joseph Regional Health Center, the staff of 4th floor and PCU 2 at St. 
Joseph Regional Health Center and members of the U. S.  Navy.
	Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park with Caruth Funeral Home in 
charge.
	St. Mary’s Catholic Church is designated for memorials.

EARL WATTENBARGER

	Earl Wattenbarger, 73, of Caddo Gap died Fri., Nov. 27, 1981, in a Hot 
Springs hospital.
	He was operator of the Caddo Gap Cabins.
	Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Caddo Gap; one son, Ken of Carson, 
California; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Thompson of Caddo Gap, Mrs. Edith Geier of 
Layalton, California, Mrs. Betty Griffith of Hot Springs; and two grandchildren.
	Services will be at 2 p.m. Mon. at the Barr Presbyterian Church in Norman, 
Arkansas.
	Burial will be in Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of 
Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena.
