J. P.(JACK) FRY DIES IN LITTLE ROCK VETERANS HOSPITAL
     John P. (Jack) Fry, 64, well-known Hot Springs
resident and active in veterans affairs, died Wed. at
the Veterans Administration hospital in Little Rock.
     He was last employed as manager of the Jack 
Tar Bath House and a member of First Baptist Church.
     A veteran of WW I, he was a member of Warren
Townsend Post No. 13 of the American Legion, and was
the immediate past commander of Hot Springs Barracks
No. 317, Veterans of World War I.
    He was a native of Paducah, Ky., where he was born
Feb. 11, 1899, but had made Hot Springs his home for
many years.  He resided with Mrs. Fry at 522 Spring
St.
    Fry was one of several persons injured Jan. 4, in
the mysterious blast that ripped away a section of the
Vapors on Park Ave.  He was hospitalized for some 16
days and released.  He entered the V. A. hospital
March 18.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Fry; two
sons, Jack M. Fry and Robert C. Fry, both of Chicago,
and four grandchildren.  An aunt, Mrs. Kate Donnell,
also resides here.
     The body has been returned to Hot Springs and
arrangements are in charge of Gross mortuary.
