PRESTON L. BARRON

     Preston Lee "Jackie" Barron, 59, of Hot Springs died Wed., Jan. 8,
1997, in a local hospital.
     Born Dec. 20, 1937, to Lee and Queen Esther Barron in Plainview, 
he waw in Hot Springs for 50 yrs., was a U. S. Army veteran, retired from
Pirelli Cable Co., and member of Haven United Methodist Church.  He was
predeceased by his father and mother.
     Survivors include one brother, Shelby Barron of Hot Springs; two
nephews, Kenneth Barron and Shelby Barron Jr., both of Houston; five
great-nieces and -nephews; two uncles, William Barron of Detroit and
Monroe Riddley of Hot Springs; and cousins.
    Arrangements will be announced by Page's Funeral Home.
    The family will be at 505 Grove St.
