Funeral services for Joseph Clark Brockett, 85, Cherry Valley, Route 2, who died
Saturday afternoon at Cross County Memorial Hospital in Wynne, will be held this
afternoon at 2 in the Cherry Valley Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Price and
Rev. George Fink officiating. Burial will be in Crosslawn cemetery near Wynne
under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

He was a retired farmer, Methodist and had lived in Cherry Valley 64 years.  He
was preceeded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lora Brockett, who died in 1973.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Miles Rook Jr., Cherry Valley, and Mrs. Donaly
Kurtz, Burlington, Iowa; one brother, Hillis Brockett, Bellaire Bluffs, Fla; two
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Vance Perkins, Walter Rose, Howard Beasley, Herschel
Woodham, Ezra Stark and Malcom Hunter.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie
Short and S.T. Hawk, Sr.
