FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Mr. Bat Webb Brockett, son of Nathaniel and Emily Brockett,
died at his home at Cherry Valley, Ark., Wednesday, April 7, 
1920, aged 68 years, 2 months and 13 days.  Mr. Brockett was
born January 24, 1852, and had spent the greater part of his
life in White County.  He was married about 38 years ago to
Miss Anne Clark, who with the following children, survive him:
Mrs. Effie Joiner, Marshall, Joseph, Archie and Hyllis Brockett.
He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters, James R.,
Benjamin I., Samuel M. Brockett, Mrs. Mary E. Turner and Mrs. 
C.F. Weirauch.  Mr. Brockett was an affectionate husband and father,
a kind and obliging neighbot who numbered his friends by his
acquaintences.  A beautiful life ends "not in death." The body
was laid to rest near the home of the deceased at Cherry Valley.
