Mrs. Smith
Mrs. Novie A. Smith, 79, of Jonesboro, Route 2, died Sunday morning at
St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.  She was born in
Craighead County and lived her entire life around Jonesboro.  She was a
housewife and a member of the Old Enterprise Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Lewis Smith of Jonesboro; two daughters,
Mrs. Lois Staggs of Jonesboro and Mrs. Lucille Henson of Bono; one sister,
Mrs. Olar Smith of Bono; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the chapel of
Farmers Union Funeral Home with Elder Pete Shelton officiating.  Burial
will follow in Old Enterprise Cemetery under the direction of Farmers
Union Home of Jonesboro.  Visitation will be this evening from 5 until
9 at the funeral home.
