Billie Smith September 7, 1975 Jonesboro Sun

Note:  Billie Smith's first wife, Irene Hanson Smith, preceded him in
death.  She died in 1958.

B. Smith
Billie Smith, 70, of 1506 E. Matthews, Jonesboro, died early Saturday
morning at his residence.  He was a native of Arkansas and a retired
City Water and Light employee.  He was a member of the First Pentecostal
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Opal Smith of the home; three sons,
Vondas Smith of Bolivia, South America; O'Neil Smith and Johnny Smith,
both of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Bob Smith of Smithville and Joe
Smith of Jonesboro; three sisters, Miss Effie Smith of Smithville, Miss
Mary Smith of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Liza Hamilton of Jonesboro; one step-
son, Roy Greenwood of Jonesboro; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ramona
Heern of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lois Penter of Bishop, Tex., and Mrs. Jean
Bezdziecki of Union Lake, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granchild.
