Mrs. Marie Parson, of 704 Warren, Jonesboro, died early this morning at
Skilcare Nursing Home.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by 
Gregg Funeral Home.

My name is RaNae Smith Vaughn.  Here is a second obituary of my great-aunt
from Craighead County.  It was in the Jonesboro Sun Page 6C Col. 1, 
dated Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1974.  She died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1974.

Mrs. Parson

Mrs. Marie Parson, of 704 Warren, Jonesboro, died Tuesday morning at
Skilcare Nursing Home.  Born in Jonesboro, she was a lifelong resident 
of Craighead County and a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church.

She leaves one son, Leon Parson of Jonesboro; three brothers, Billy 
Smith and Joe Smith, both of Jonesboro, and Bob Smith of Smithville; three
sisters, Miss Effie Smith of Smithville, and Mrs. Mary Ann Moore and Mrs.
Eliza Hamilton, both of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2 in the Gregg Chapel 
with Jewell McCracken officiating.

Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Gregg
Funeral Home.
