Hanson
Aubrey Hanson, 83, of Jonesboro, died Monday at St. Bernard's Regional
Medical Center.  A retired employee of the former Crane Co. plant here,
he had served in the Army and was of the Baptist belief.  He was preced
in death by two sons, Vernon Leon and Thomas R. Hanson.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewell Hanson of the home; and two
grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the chapel of
Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro, with Rev. Marion Stringer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Clinton Lutrell, Charlie Whitehead, O'Neil
Smith, Johnnie Smith, Tommy Canaday, and Hershel Caples.

Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Minton, Hugh Preston, Ralph Cox,
Roy Puckett, and Odell Medlock.

The family requests lasting memorials be sent to the American Cancer
Society.
