JEWELL DEAN "HUDSON" MAYES, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 28,
2009 in Springdale, AR. She was born December 06, 1922, to George and Arminda
(Landon) Hudson. She was a member of the "Red Hat" Ladies in Springdale and of
the Blue Eye Sewing Club. She was also of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her two sons, Harold and wife Deborah Mayes of Springdale,
AR; Daniel G. and wife Brenda Mayes of Springdale, AR; two daughters, Helen K.
Smith of Hindsville, AR; Delores and husband Ray Braswell of Garfield, AR; ten
grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews,
and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, one
grandson, Brian Mayes, and one son-in-law, Jerry Smith.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at
Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Thursday,
December 31, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with
Bro David Donaldson officiating. Interment will be at the Berryville Memorial
Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. Online
