Lois Marie Cheatham, 80, a resident of Valley Springs, formerly of Mt. Judea and
Little Rock, died Sunday, Jan. 3 (2010) at Apple Ridge Health and Rehabilitation
Center in Harrison.

Visitation is open after 12 p. m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Holt Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Mt. Judea Church of
Christ. Ministers are Ray Crawford and Jim Gaskill.

Burial will be at Sexton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, James
Dickey, Jared Dickey, Randall Dickey, Jackson Dickey, Billy Cheatham, Taylor
Hefley, Bailey Hefley, Logan Bryant, Payton Bryant and Lance Flud. Honorary
pallbearers include Dr. Tom Leslie, Anita Martin and the staff at the Leslie
Clinic, Charles Campbell, Betsy Cash, Jerry Young, Billy Ed and Wilma Hefley,
Joe and Carolyn Green, the Kenneth and Elisabeth Greenhaw family and the Burr
and Viva McCutcheon family.

Lois was born Feb. 25, 1929, at Mt. Judea, a daughter of William Frank and Mary
Hazel (Greenhaw) Cheatham.

Before her retirement, she had worked for Dobbs and Allbright and the Gary Green
Law Firm in Little Rock. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Judea Church of Christ
and also attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock and Bellefonte
Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Armon Cheatham; and a
brother-in-law, J. B. Dickey

Survivors include a sister, Fayma Dickey, with whom she made her home; a
brother, William Cheatham and his wife, Sue; nephews, Billy Cheatham, James
Dickey and his wife, Bettye and Randall Dickey and his wife, Virginia; nieces,
Barbara Hefley and her husband, Eugene, Tena Bryant and Sara Flud and her
husband, Robby; grandnephews, Taylor Hefley, Bailey Hefley, Logan Bryant, Payton
Bryant, Lance Flud, Jared Dickey and Jackson Dickey; grandnieces, Lauren Dickey,
Emily Dickey, Kara Flud and Brooklyn Flud; and a cousin, Audrey Grace Campbell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 320 North
Greenwood Avenue, Fort Smith, Ark. 72901 or to the Mt. Judea Cemetery Fund.
