Harlon 'Big' Roy Stidham February 1999 The Morning News

Notes from Freda Willingham:
  Harlon Roy Stidham was nicknamed by his oldest sister (my mother), Mona
Fern 'Stidham' Brinkley.
  He was a twin and the biggest. So she called him Big and Earlon his 
twin was Lid. The nicknames stayed with the two of them their whole life.

Obituary of HARLON ROY STIDHAM
HIWASSE - Harlon Roy "Big"  Stidham, 59, of Hiwasse died Feb. 25, 1999,
at Gravette Medical Center. He was born in Anadarko, Okla., to Delmas 
Dee and Edith Elsie Brown Stidham. He was a self-employed carpenter, 
a lifetime resident of Hiwasse and enjoyed playing dominoes. He was 
preceded in death by one brother.
  Survivors include two sons, John Harlon Stidham of Stilwell, Okla., 
and Henry Joe Stidham of Hiwasse;one stepson, Herbert Dewayne Todd of
Hiwasse; two daughters, Mary Deanne Schopp of Chicago, Ill., and 
Kimberly Rene Stidham of Rogers; five brothers, Carl Stidham of
Brawley, Calif., Earlon Stidham of Hiwasse, David Stidham of  Gravette,
Billy Joe Stidham of  Decatur and Raymond Stidham of Bentonville;
seven sisters, Fern Brinkley of Gravette, Isla Mae Arnold of Gravette,
Doris McDougal of Haskell, Texas, Sue Boling of Hiwasse, Kay Russow
of Gravette, Betty Hendricks of Hiwasse and Edith Phillips of Rogers;
eight grandchildren.
  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant 
Cemetery in Hiwasse with the Rev. George McBride officiating.
  Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette.
  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

covered his Dad's coffin with a shovel and tears. It was hard to stand
there and watch Jody but I was thinking how much it took for this young
man to show his Dad this
