Take CR 108 almost to the end, about 2 miles from the Martin Springs Schoolhouse. Just
after crossing the second creek make a right and go up the hill. A 4-wheel drive vehicle
is suggested. The cemetery is in a clearing on your right after you get to the top of the
hill. There are only nine marked stones in this family cemetery. June 2001 - Vera (Lane)
Reeves.

A little family history on the Hurst Family.

Robert E. and William C. Hurst two sons of William R. Hurst came to the area, that later
became Baxter County about 1868. It would appear William R. Hurst didn't arrive in the
area until later, maybe as late as 1879. In the 1880 census he is listed in the house of
Joseph and Julia A. Spragins as father-in-law age 63. Molly Hurst was not listed in 1880
census. Arkansas Death Record Index shows Mollie B. Hurst died 7/1/1927 in Baxter County.

There's a sunken place between Alonzo and Clara. Another at the foot of Alonzo next to
Lillian. Usually these low spots in the old cemeteries mean an unmarked grave.
