WILLIAM B. DAVIS BIOGRAPHY

William B. Davis (son of Anderson Davis b. abt. 1831 in Tennessee and Amanda
Hines-Davis b. abt 1831 in Tennessee) was born December 17, 1857 in Ohio
County, Kentucky. The family of Anderson and Amanda Hines-Davis (daughter of
Zacariah Hines b. between 1800 and 1810 in Virginia and died abt. 1858 in Ohio
Co., Kentucky, and Sarah Brastly-Hines b. abt. 1806 also in Virginia and died
November 13, 1851 in Ohio Co., Kentucky) came to Arkansas after 1870.
     Children of Anderson and Amanda Davis were:
#1. John Franklin Davis           b. 1850
#2. James T. (or E.)Davis         b. 1853
#3. William B. Davis              b. December 17, 1857   Ohio Co., Kentucky
#4. Elizabeth "Lizzie" B. Davis   b. 1861
#5. Herman Davis                  b. 1864
#6. Luther Davis                  b. 1869
     The third child, William B. Davis married Minerva Weaver (b. October 12,
1860 and she died March 8, 1939 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Minerva was the
daughter of Gideon Weaver and Katheryn Poplin) William B. "Bill" and Minerva
made their home around Madison Co., Arkansas in the Huntsville area, and later
moved to Baxter Co., Arkansas, Whiteville township.
     The Children of Bill Davis and Minerva Weaver-Davis are:
#1. Cassie Ola Davis        b. January 12, 1881 in Huntsville, Arkansas-Madison Co.
     "Olie" Davis married Harvey Jackson Stafford in Baxter Co.,
Arkansas. May 21, 1898.
#2. Lonzo Davis             b. March 1883 (married Sintha Messer)
#3. Gideon Davis            b. July 1885 (married May Mayfield)
#4. Leroy Davis             b. May 1887 (married Maude- her last name is unknown)
#6. Newt Ivan Davis         b. October 1889 (married 1st to Annie Stafford 2nd to
                                             Mary Morris)
#7. William Luther Davis    b. May 1894 (married Taylor- her last name is unknown)
#8. Mary Ethel Davis        b. April 1897 (married 1st to Everett-last name unknown,
                                           2nd to Ray Satterlee.
#9. Otto Davis              b. December 1899
     After the death of her first husband, (William B. Davis in 1904) Minerva
Weaver-Davis married a long time resident of Mt. Home, Arkansas. L.E. (Laben
Epps) Tucker July 9, 1911.
