JIMMY WELLS

  Funeral services for Jimmy Elton Wells, 74, of Hamburg were held Friday,
May 30, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Joel Meredith and
John Mann officiating.  Burial was at Promise Land Cemetery under the
direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
  Mr. Wells died Tuesday, May 27, at Ashley Memorial Hospital.
  A native of Drew County, he had been a resident of Hamburg for most of his
life and was a retired employee of the city of Hamburg.  He was a member of
Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Charlene Peterson Wells; two brothers, John
Allen Wells of Lake Village and Robert L. Wells of Phoenix, Ariz.; and
several nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
  Pallbearers were Don Kelley, Gerald Lauhon, Kevin Smith, Frank Taylor, Don
Flemming and Mitchell Taylor.
  Honorary pallbearers were members of the Mens Sunday School Class of
Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
