ISOM SMITH

  Isom Ganey Smith, 77, of Crossett died Tuesday, June 24, at Oak Woods
Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge, La.  His remains were cremated. 
Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg was in charge of arrangements.
  He was a native of Choudrant, La. and was a Baptist.
  Survivors include three sons, Isom Smith Jr and Jerry Lee Smith, both of
California, and Robert Lee Smith of Texas; three daughters, Dorothy Laverne
Smith and Valonis S. Crockett, both of Caliafornia, and Gloria Jean Smith
of Texas; seven step-children, all of California; and one sister of
Crossett.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Smith.
