The Ashley Journal Ledger, Hamburg AR, 10 Jul 2002
Eva G. Sled, 86, of Crossett died Saturday, July 6, 2002. Born March 2, 1916, 
in Winnfield, LA, to the late George Butler and Clara Williams Rowell, she was 
a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in North 
Crossett. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Sled; a 
brother, Carl Rowell; and a grandchildren, Pamela Denise Sled.  Survivors 
include two sons, James and Bobby Sled of Crossett; one daughter, Maxine Smith 
of Gary, IN; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Funeral 
services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in 
Crossett with Revs. Dan Webb, Jimmie Lewis and Jim Taylor officiating. 
Pallbearers were Jackie Parker, Tommy Sivils, Ernie Edwards, Edgar Haney, 
Byron Jackson and Alan Jackson. Charles Donaldson was honorary pallbearer. 
Burial followed services at the Crossroads Cemetery.
