Administrator further reports that all of the assets have been exhausted except
as herein above set forth. This Administrator also reports that R.W. Rowlet
instituted suit against said Est. for $257.00 which is now pending in the Ashley
Circuit Court. All of which is respectfully submitted.

To amount of negro hire stated in appraisement bill $275.00
To amount appraised value of negroes Pomp, Booker, Bet named in appraisement
bill $3,000.00
To ½ of balance of $605 the price of Horse sold to John Brooks and $115 the
price of pistol sold Barnes see sale bill 1st page after deducting them from
$34.80 balance $685.20 ½ is $342.60
The horse & pistol were the property of James Ashley the father of George H.
Ashley who died after George H. Ashley. Another horse & Pistol having descended
to the children of George H. Ashley and their uncle in Mississippi to same
expense of administration as the Estate of James Ashley this administrator was
advised to charge himself in this administration as he had done above. The
$34.80 stated was a debt against James Ashley which this Admr has paid. He also
charges himself in the same way with 1/20 of $1000 the appraised value of negro
Tom named in appraisement $500.00

before the sale one of the oxen died and I assigned to the widow on account of
her years allowance dower in perishable effects inventoried to wit: 125 bushels
of corn, 1 Buggy, 2 cows, 1 yearling, 4 sows, one horse 2 pr gear plows & 2 axes
her two receipts for which are herewith filed marked A & B.
The residue of the property appraised was sold as the law directs except the
negroes Joe, Mary & Rose who have been emancipated. Dan & Harriet who were
assigned to the widow for Dower and are now also emancipated.

The Brown note & Honeycutt a/c insolvent for rent of land the year 1862 I
