  SMITH
  
    Ruth Smith, 73, of Kantner died Jan.23, 2001 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born April 5, 1927 in Midlothian, Md., daughter of William
  H. and Christina (Walker) Smith.  Preceded in death by parents and four
  sisters and eight brothers.  Survived by son, Larry Smith, married to
  Marge Ulery, Donegal; and granddaughter, Angela Casile, Pittsburgh. 
  Sister of Eugene and friend Catherine Wilt, Swanton, Md.; Pearl
  Siperek, Jenner Cross Roads; Shirley, married to Robert Ohler,
  Greensprings, W.Va.; Roy B., married to the former Dolly Ohler,
  Stoystown; Raymond, married to the former Ida Hause, Boswell; Jerry,
  married to the former Frances Gindlesperger, Cross Keys; Alice,
  married to Ronald Carmack, Baltimore, Md.; and Linda Barker of
  Gaston, N.C.  Loved and missed by numerous nieces and nephews. 
  Retired custodian from North Star Schools.  Member of Kantner
  Assembly of God.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will
  be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Marty Critchfield officiating. 
  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
