  SMITH
  
  Gwyenne Smith, 86 of Berlin, formerly of Melcroft, died Feb. 19, 2002
  in Meadow View Nursing Home, Berlin.  She was born March 18, 1915 in
  Acosta, a daughter of the late John W. and Vinnie E. Hess Roberts. 
  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Carl F.
  Smith on Nov. 28, 1998, two sons Robert Carl Smith and Julius J.
  Smith, a sister Mildred Bollinger, and four brothers Kenneth, Nelson,
  John W., and Gordon A. Roberts.  She is survived by her loving
  daughter Barbara Wiltrout and her husband Darrell of Scottdale, seven
  grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one
  great-great-grandchildren, and a brother Owen C. Roberts of Spring
  Hill, Fla.  Gwyenne was a graduate of Somerset High School and was a
  former employee of Seven Springs Resort where she worked as a lodge
  supervisor.  She was a member of the Davistown United Methodist
  Church and its Ladies Bible Class and Young Married Class.  She also
  served as the church organist and was a long-time Sunday School
  teacher.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Thursday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711
  Melcroft.  A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the
  funeral home, with Rev. Paul C. Freidholf officiating.  A committal
  service and interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Saltlick
  Township.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be
  given to the Alzheimer's Association, 1323 Forbes Ave.-Suite 200
  Pittsburgh, Pa.  15219, or the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar
  Dr., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205 in memory of Gwyenne Smith.
