FROM THE EL DORADO TIMES, APRIL 17, 1972  
    Mrs. Lillie Moon, 87, of Texarkana died in a Texarkana hospital
Saturday after a lengthy illness.
    She was the sister of Ellis A. Whitten of El Dorado.
    Born in September, 1884, in Nevada  County, she was the
daughter of William Riley and Nora Hill Whitten.  She had been a
resident of Texarkana for many years.
    Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Moon of Texarkana; two sons,
Lester Hunter and Johnny Hunter, both of Texarkana; a daughter, Mrs.
Myrtie Putch of Texarkana; two other brothers, Amon Whitten of Hope and
Alex Whitten of Bagwell, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Belle Snelson of Knox City
Tex.; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren.  She also leaves an El Dorado nephew and three nieces,
Frederick J. White, Mrs. Ruth Nodini, Mrs. Anne Huskey, and Mrs. Velma
Gregory.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of
East Funeral Home in Texarkana.  Burial will be in Texarkana.
