Elmwood Cemetery-Memphis

Birth: unknown Death: Jul. 7, 1928
Lawrence B. Coover, 59 years of age, died Saturday, July 7, 1928, at his
apartment in what is known as the Old Sanitorium. Mr. Coover was born in
Memphis, the son of Mr. & Mrs. M. H. Coover. His father was prominent in
business circles of Memphis at that time and for forty years owned the largest
lumber and planing mill there. Mr. Coover spent the greatest part of his life in
New York and San Francisco, but returned to Forrest City about ten years ago,
but on account of ill health he had not taken an active part in business for the
past several years. The funeral was held in Memphis Sunday, the body conveyed
there by the W. E. Stevens Undertaking Co.. Interment was in the Coover family
plot in Elmwood Cemetery, with services provided by Rve. Blaisdell, rector of
Calvary Church in Memphis, and the DeSoto Masonic Lodge of Memphis. Surviving
relatives are an aunt, Mrs. P. P. Duggan of this city and a nephew, Fleming
Davis, of Knoxville, Tenn. besides other relatives in New York. Source: obit-
