FLORA F. ALDRIDGE
	MOUNT IDA --Flora Elizabeth Aldridge, 82, of Mount Ida died Monday, Oct 31, 
1994, in a Hot Springs hospital.
	She was born April 13, 1912, at Cedar Glades to Frank Franklin and Roslay 
Adams Murders, who both predeceased her.  She was a homemaker and member of 
Refuge Baptist Church at story.  She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. 
William Henry Aldridge, and a son, Arnel Dale Aldridge.
	Survivors include a daughter, Ernestine Ward of Hot Springs; a brother, Leo 
Murders of Redmond, Oregon; two sisters, Dorothy Chancellor of Bismarck and 
Norma Justus of Fallbrook, California; six grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren.
	Services will be at  2 p.m. Wednesday at Refuge Baptist Church at Story with 
the Rev. Ronnie Noles officiating.
	Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, Story.
	Arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral home.
	Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. today.

Spenser Dyllon Herron, infant, of Hot Springs died Sunday, Oct. 30, 1994, in a 
local hospital.
	Survivors include his parents, Carl and Kathi Herron of Hot Springs; one 
brother, Cameron Littlepage of Hot Springs; his paternal grandparents, Cecil 
Herron and Maurice and Jennetta Sanders, all of Hot Springs; his maternal 
grandmother, Barbara Gower of Hot Springs; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
	Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Crestview Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil 
Herron officiating.
	Pallbearers will be Bill White and Gary White.
	Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home.

   MENA--James "Billy Joe" Bates, 64, of Mena died
Monday, Nov. 7, 1994, in a Hot Springs hospital.
   He was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Mount Ida to Levi
Bates and Myrtle Knight Bates.  He was a sub-foreman
for U. S. Motors, served in the Korean conflict and
was a member of the VFW and Inter-denominational
Church.    He was predeceased by his parents and two
brothers, Leo Bates and Leon Bates.
     Survivors include his wife, Pam Lyons Bates of
Mena; a son, Billy Bob Bates of Los Angeles; two
daughters, Betty Enis and Myrtle Ann Lewis, both of
Junction City; five step-children, Judy Harris, Randy
Davis and Kenny Davis, all of Mena, Tim Davis of Story
and Greg Davis of College Station, Texas; two
brothers, Earl Bates and Earnest Bates, both of
Houston; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and six step-grandchildren.
     Services will be at 1 p.m. Thurs. in First
Baptist Church, Mount Ida.
     Burial will be in Stanley-Standridge Cemetery.
     Arrangements are by Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home.

    Services for Joseph Randall Brantley, 75, of Hot
Springs, who died Sun., Nov. 6, 1994, will be at 1
p.m. today at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with the
Revs. Joel Cassady and Roy Shuffield officiating.
     Pallbearers will be Carl Taylor, Terry Bateman,
Bud Heckel, alan Michau, Kenneth Norman and Don
Reynolds.
      Honorary pallbearers are Billy Wells, Doyle
Hawthorne, Ken Best, Mark Giesselman, Charlie Heckel,
and Drs. William Wright and Richard Dunn.

    Rosalind Allen Whistle, 93, of Hot Springs,
formerly of Serarcy, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994.
    She was a member of Cloverdale Church of Christ
and activity member of Home Demonstration Clubs.  She
was predeceased by her husband, George Muarice 
Whistle.
    Survivors include four sons, Joy Whistle of
Endicott, New York, Roy Whistle of Midwest City,
Oklahoma, Fred Whistle of Serach and Bob Whistle of
Texarkana; two daughters, Jeanne Beaty of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, and Donna Whistle of Hot Spirngs;
20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren.
     Services will be 10 a.m. today in the McEuen
Funeral Home Chapel, Searcy.
     Burial will be in white County Memorial Gardens.
