JULIA M. FOX
  Julia Mae Fox, 86, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, April 23, in a local 
nursing home.
  She had been a resident of Hot Springs for 36 years and was a Baptist.
  Survivors include two daughters, Lottie Sorrell of Hot Springs and Ina 
Clay of Little Rock; one step-daughter, Shirley Faye Johnson of Houston; 
one son, Robert Hartgraves of Little Rock; three step-sons, Thomas Fox, 
Charles Fox and Mike Fox, all of Hot Springs; three brothers, David Billings 
of Burlison, Tennessee, Leonard Billings of Covington, Tennessee, and Aubry 
Billings of Redbanks, Mississippi; two sisters, Mary Francis Lancaster 
of Memphis, Tennessee, and Annie Taylor of Redbanks; nine grandchildren; and 
10 great-grandchildren.    
  Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Caruth Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Revs. A. J. Simpson and Howard Winkler officiating.
  Pallbearers will be Paul Tubberville, Steve Warr, James "Corky" Martin, 
William Clay, Frank Sorrell, Jimmy Sorrell and Daryl Richardson Sr.
  Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Timothy Enlgish, Douglas Hartgraves, Jim Sorrell, 
Cloyce Dorsey, and the nursing staff of Hot Springs Nursing Home.
  Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery under the direction of Caruth Funeral Home.
  Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today.

LAVERNE E. GUNTER
AUSTIN -- Laverne Eva Gunter, 82, died Tuesday, April 28, 1992, in Jacksonville.
  A native of Hot Springs, she was the daughter of George Durel Rankin and Mary 
Etta Morgan Rankin.  She was a member of 16th Section Methodist Church and a 
retail grocery owner.
  Survivors include her husband, Marvin E. Gunter of Austin; two daughters, Mary 
Gunter Machy of Sherwood and Gayle Gunter Rule of Little Rock; five grandchildren; 
and a great-grandchild.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in 16th Section Methodist church with 
arrangements by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
  Burial will be in 16th Section Cemetery, Ward, Lonoke County Highway 5.

BILLY R. McGREW
GLENWOOD -- Billy R. McGrew, 57, of Glenwood, died Tuesday, April 28, 1992, in 
Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
  He was born Feb. 9, 1935, to Larkin S. McGrew and Lillie Matlock McGrew.  He 
was a member of Trinity Holiness Church where he was a Sunday School teacher 
the past 10 years.  He was president of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Livestock 
Marketing Association, owner of Cattlemen’s Livestock Market in Glenwood since 
1964 and co-owner of Cattlemen’s Auto, Truck and Trailer.  He was a lifetime 
resident of the Glenwood area and was named Businessman of the Year of 1985 by 
the City of Glenwood.
  Survivors include his wife, Betty McGrew; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny 
and Brenda McGrew of Glenwood; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Aaron Vik 
of Glenwood; his father, Larkin S. McGrew of Glenwood; two brothers, Paul McGrew 
and J. D. McGrew, both of Glenwood; one sister, Geneva Greathouse of Hot Springs; 
and eight grandchildren, Alan Moore, Chad Moore, Brad Vik, Dustin Vik, Rachelle 
McGrew, Danielle McGrew, Steven McGrew, Danielle McGrew, Steven McGrew and Janelle 
McGrew.
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Faye McGrew.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Tabor Community Church near Glenwood 
with the Bros. Sammy Cottrell, Tommy Toliver and Gerald Anderson officiating.
  Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral 
Home of 
Glenwood.

GLENWOOD -- Services for Mary Ward, 57, of Glenwood, who died Monday, April 27, 1992, 
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Tabor Community Church with Brother Quinton 
Featherston officiating.
  Pallbearers will be Don Baker, Wayne Davis, Johnny Don Lee, Joe Floyd Wright, 
Sonny Cox and Huey Vaughn.
  Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery near Glenwood under the direction of 
Davis-Smith Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Gloria P. Zook, 63, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, April 28, 1992, in a local hospital.
  She was a housewife, distinguished china painter and teacher, involved  in the 
Democratic Party in the 60’s and 70’s in California, charter member and Artist of the 
Month of ____ League in Hot Springs and ____ chairman of china shows in ----cadia, 
California, on two occasions.
  Survivors include her husband, Leroy C. Zook of Hot Springs; two sons, Ernest Zook 
of Hot Springs and Jeffrey Zook of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, --ssa Truman of 
Los Angeles; one brother, Bill Holland of Ven----, California; and two grandchildren, 
Devon and Stephen Zook.
  Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carlos 
E. -------- officiating.
  Burial will be at Crestview Cemetery (rest cut off).
