Additional Comments:

William Henry Bozeman was born 1802. Martha H Bozeman resided in Hope Hull,
Montgomery, Alabama and may also be buried there at Stokes-Carter Cemetery
among other family members. William accompanied his father, Peter. and
family from Darlington South Carolina. Upon the death of William, his brother
Jesse ( born 1973) became adminstrator of the estate, petitioned the Court, and
made sure Martha received a Writ of Dower, the home and some land to continue
on; all of which are documented in Montgomery County's Probate Office.
*
Jesse's headstone was found but not William's, nor their father's.
*
Children of William and Martha: Peter Edward, John Thomas, Meedy G, Martha M.
*
Peter Edward married Nancy Jane Anderson. John Thomas married Nancy Kizar
Hill. Meedy G married a widow Rebecca Brewer and adopted her children. Matha
M married Norman Campbell.

William's father Peter Bozeman served in the American Revolution and left
Darlington South Carolina about 1826. Peter's Estate was handled by son Jesse
in Montgomery County Alabama and shows wife Sarah and several children. Peter
and his father Mordecai Bozeman ( born 1735 NC ) are listed on the South
Carolina Archives Roster of Soldiers of the American Revolution, Land Grants
and are also mentioned in a book titled "Sketches of Bozeman" published in
1885. Peter was found on the 1790 census but his father was not. Peter is
later found on the 1830 census of Montgomery Alabama and on Land Records.
