Benjamin RICHARDS              The last will and testament of         
        Will.                  Benjamin RICHARDS of the County
  of Ritchie and State of West Virginia.
       I Benjamin RICHARDS considering the uncerainty of this mortal
life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my
last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say:
      First. I give and bequeath to my youngest sone  Elias C. RICHARDS
fifty three acres more or less lying on lyn camp,  his old tract joining
S. HALL & H. HAWKINS & S. HARPER & others, the upper end crossing at the
beech corner with one condition that is to say, I and my wife, Priscilla
are to have our suport our lifetime and to pay my two youngest Daughters
three hundred Dollars each, with these conditions that is to say each one
shall have fifty dollars a year after our death till paid, my oldest Daughter, 
Catherine E.,  I will and bequeath to be paid, out of my personal property
two hundred dollars, fifty dolars a year, to my sone Benjamin F.,  I will
and bequeath twelve acres more ore  less, lying above and adjoining
Elias Cs, the upper end to run Strate across the run a past a little Sugar
commencing one rod below the big lick thence with HARPER'S  line to thee
said  E.C. RICHARDS  portion, thence with Aaron HAWKINS to the beginning.
     I will and bequeath to my son Jacob H. Fourteen acres lying above and
adjoining Benjamin F. RICHARDS the upper end  the upper end to commence at
a big, white oke on the rite sid of the lick run thence to a Sugar on the
same point thence runing across the botton with the fence to the corner of
the fence, thence to the ridge so as to contain fourteen acres.
     I will and bequeath to my sone George W. the balanc of my land above &
adjoining Jacob H, portion fourteen acres more or less.  My two Youngest
Daughters Shall have ther home hear while Single and also this land that I
will is to be Our home and I am to do as I wish on the farm my life time.
    (In witness whereoff I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12 day of

The above instrument consisting _ one Sheet was was now here subscribed by
Benjamin RICHARDS the testator in the presence of each of us and was at the
same time delcared by him to be his last will and Testament and we at his
request sign our names here to as attesting witnesses.

West Virginia County Court of Ritchie County June term 1874
     The Will of Benjamin RICHARDS was this day presented to Court, and being
fully proven by J. S. ELDER, A. BOGARD, & Eli RICHARDS, the three Subscribing
Witnesses thereto being here in court and having the said Will before them and
being duly sworn, say that they were present and saw the said Benjamin RICHARDS
sign his name thereto and they in his presents and in the presence of each other,
and at his request signed their names as Witnesses thereto the said Will is
admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded.
     A  copy from the minutes of said Court at the term aforesaid.

State of West Virginia. ss.
     I  G. W. Amos, clerk of the County Court of Ritchie County in the State
aforesaid do certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the Last Will &
testament of  Benjamin RICHARDS together with a copy of the order admitting
the same to probate duly admitted to record this 12th day of June 1874.
