ELIZABETH C. SMITH 

Of  Carson Valley, died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 1970, in Mercy 
Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the day, after an extended 
illness.  She was born in Altoona May 9, 1903, a daughter of  Walter W. and 
Electa (Faust) Franklin; and married Raymond H. Smith on June 25, 1920. 
Surviving are  her husband, 11 children, Harry of Claysburg, Mrs. Levine 
Hazenstab, Trafford, Terry, Mrs. Judy Miller, Clayton, Daniel, and Mrs. 
Pauline Eger of Duncansville; Raymond Jr. of Carson Valley, Donald of Altoona 
and Vian, at home; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Friends 
will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 
7 to 9 
p.m. today.

RAYMOND H. SMITH 

83, of Carson Valley, Duncansville RD 1, died unexpectedly at 11:45 p.m. 
Wednesday, March 5, 1980, in Mercy Hospital emergency room.  Mr. Smith 
retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad Jan. 1, 1956, after 7 years service.  
He was born July 19, 1896, in Huntingdon, the son of Henry and Martha (Adams) 
Smith, and was twice married, first to Elizabeth Franklin, who died on May 
30, 1970, then on Oct. 13, 1972, to Idonna Miller.  Surviving are his wife, 
nine children, Mrs. Levina Hazenstab, Raymond Jr., Trafford, Donald, Terry, 
Mrs. Judy Miller, Clayton, Daniel and Mrs. Pauline Eger, all of Duncansville; 
25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister and brother, Mrs. Grace 
Lydle of Harrisburg and Allen of Tonawanda, N. Y.  Friends will be received 
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, 
Duncansville.
