Claar Obituary Collection, Volume 3, A-2 1935

Widow of D. R. Smith, well known cigar manufacturer, died at her home at 
Wolfsburg, Bedford county, on Thursday, death being attributed to a 
complication of ailments.  She was born on Sept. 19, 1869, the daughter of 
William C. and Annie (McKinley) Snively, and was united in marriage with Mr. 
Smith, who died several years ago.  Surviving ate these children: Mrs. Anna 
Rice and D. Ray Smith, at home.  One son, Carl, died several years ago.  Also 
surviving is a brother, William P. Snively of Sayre, O.  She was a member of 
the Wolfsburg Methodist church.  Funeral services will be conducted at the 
home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of her pastor, Rev. 
Franklin B. Miller. Interment will be made in the Mt. Smith cemetery.
