Miss Pauline Eckenrode, of near Littlestown, and Morris J. Smith, of Mt. Rock, 
Adams County, were married Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 9 o’clock at a nuptial mass in 
St. Aloysius church, Littlestown, celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Bennet Smith, an 
uncle of the bridegroom, assisted by the pastor of the church, the Rev. Father 
O’Callaghan.

Miss Mabel Eckenrode, a sister of the bride was bridesmaid and Claude Lawrence, 
a cousin of the bridegroom was best man.  Ushers were Frank Eckenrode and Roy 
Smith.  The wedding march was played by Miss Catherine Starr, Littlestown.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eckenrode, Germany township.  
She is a graduate of St. Aloysius school, Littlestown, and for the last five 
years has been a bookkeeper at St. Agnes hospital, Baltimore.  Mr. Smith is 
engaged in the cigar manufacturing business at Mt. Rock, and is a son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Peter Smith.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride, at which about 60 friends 
and relatives were in attendance.  Mr. and Mrs. Smith will reside in Mt. Rock, 
where they have a newly furnished home.
