Will of Hanna Smith, Columbia County, New York, Will Book, Claverack Vol. S,

Record of the last will and testament of Hannah Smith, late of the Town of 
Claverack, Columbia County, NY, deceased, as a will valid to pass real and
personal property together with the proof relating thereto, taken in the
Surrogate court of the County of Columbia, N.Y., and the decree admitting said
will to probate.  
Recorded September 20th 1886.

The last will and testament of Hanna Smith of the town of Claverack, County of 
Columbia and State of New York.  First - I appoint my brother David E. Ayrault 
of Troy, N.Y. sole executor of this my will, and hereby revoke all other wills
by me made.  

Second   I will and direct that as soon as reasonably may be after my decease, 
my said executor shall sell at public or private sale as he may deem best, all
my property, real and personal, for which purpose and to which end, I do
hereby invest him with full power and authority to make, execute, acknowledge
and deliver, in his name as executor, all papers or instruments necessary and
proper in law to effect and perfect such sale; and out of the avails of said
sale or sales to pay first, all of my just debts and funeral expenses, and the
remainder to divide equally among my four children, Annie E., Minnie B.,
Fannie A. and Maud, share and share alike.

Third all of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate real and personal of
which I may die seized or to which I may be entitled, I give, devise and
bequeath to my said four children, share and share alike.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto et my hand and seal, this 27th day of
April 1868.

The foregoing instrument consisting of one sheet was, at the date thereof 
signed, sealed, published and declared by Hannah Smith the above named
testatrix, as and for her last will and testament in our presence and we at
her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
