Will of Frederick F. Smith, Columbia County, New York, Will Book, Claverack

Record of the last will and testament of Frederick F. Smith, late of the Town
of Claverack, Columbia County, NY deceased as a will valid to pass real and 
personal property with the proof relating thereto taken in the Surrogate's
court of the County of Columbia, NY.  Recorded December 10th 1881.

In the name of God Amen, I Frederick F. Smith of the town of Claverack in the 
County of Columbia State of New York at the age of seventy six years, being in 
ill health and of sound mind, memory and understanding but considering the
uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and
testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. 
And as to my worldly estate and all the property real, personal or mixed with
which both pleased God to entrust me with of which I shall die seized and
possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease.  I devise
bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit; 

first.  
my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor 
hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall
be him be found convenient.  

Item: I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved sister Charlotte Miller, wife 
of Jacob Miller, now of the Town of Claverack aforesaid all of my real and 
personal estate of what nature or kind soever.  Lastly I hereby appoint Jacob
Miller, sole executor of this my last will and testament.  

In witness whereof I the said Frederick F. Smith have hereunto set my habnd
and seal this 20th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight 
hundred and eighty one.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Frederick F. Smith
as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who have
hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto, in the
presence of the said testator, and of each other, said will consisting of one
sheet of paper.
