Marcella (Marci) Maria Lena Smith departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2011, 
at the age of 57. 

Beloved wife of Charles (Chuck) Ernest Smith, III. Daughter of the late Henry 
Charles Lena, Jr. and Theresa Faust Lena. Stepmother of Donna Smith and Karen 
Akeson. Daughter-in-law of Carolyn Smith Messick, the late Charles Ernest Smith, 
Jr. and Everett Messick. Sister of Henry Charles Lena, III. Sister-in-Law of 
Bobbie Lena, Scott Smith, Andrea Deputy, Lisa Seamans and Susie Walter. Aunt of 
Hank, Amber and Brian Lena and Kelley and Chad Hunter. Cousin of Althea Beatmann 
Higgs and family. Also survived by close family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 
1, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris 
Road, Chalmette, LA 70043. 
Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. 
Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.

Marci was a member of The New Orleans HOG Chapter and a member of the S.O.W.W.E. 
Club.
