are in a field to the SW.

Wright Smith

(no dates)

There is a later marker which reads...

Wright Smith
22 Oct 1839 - 13 Mar 1897

His Sons:

Thomas Edwin Wright Smith 1892 - 1897
Samuel Drury Smith 1894 - 1897

Grandson:
Willie Wright Smith
infant son of J.E. and W.P. Smither

(all 4 names are on the same marker)

Local lore says that Wright Smith was wounded at Gettysburg. He later lost
his leg and went "crazy." He lured two of his sons away and shot them. He then
shot himself. Supposedly he tried to lure his daughter into the trap but she
sensed something was wrong and she did not go.
