DONALD SMITH SR., 40, MARIETTA RESIDENT


     The Rev. Donald C. Smith Sr., 40, of Marietta, died Monday.

      Services will be 5 p. m. today at Ewing Road Baptist Church with the 
Revs. Farren Roper and Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham 
Hill Cemetery. The body will be at the church at 1 p.m.

      A native of Atlanta, the Rev. Smith had lived most of his life in 
Austell. He was a graduate of South Cobb High School and New Orleans Baptist 
Theological Seminary and was the Minister of Evangelism at Ewing Road Baptist 
Church. He was a former member of the Marietta Jaycees.

      Surviors include his wife, Ellen Bargo Smith; son Donald C. Smith Jr. 
and three daughters, Brooke Smith, Emmy McLemore and Rebekah Smith, all of 
Marietta; mother, Jean Smith of Mableton; three sisters, Dot Pope of 
Mableton, Debbie Reiff and Bonnie Moreland, both of Powder Springs.
      Wikenhofer Flint Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
