BENJAMIN EASON BAILEY

   PETERSBURG - Benjamin Eason Bailey, 62, of Ettrick died Monday at a 
Petersburg hospital.

   Mr. Bailey was a machine operator for Litmus Optical Company.  He was a 
former resident of Southampton County before moving to Petersburg.

   Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susie Bailey; five sons, William D. Bailey of 
Petersburg, Benjamin H. Bailey of Hopewell, and Larry C., Vernard E. and David 
L. Bailey of Ettrick; two daughters, Mrs. John R. Sawyer and Miss Estelle 
Marie Bailey of Ettrick; two brothers, Ralph A. Bailey of Gaston, N.C., and 
Charles E. Bailey of Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. Roy Ferguson of Newsoms, Mrs. 
Ray Britt of Petersubrg, Mrs. J.O. Harrell of Poquoson, Mrs. Clifton Overby of 
Drewryville, Mrs. Raymond Mark of Fairbanks, Alaska, and a stepson, Lewis A. 
Potts of Ettrick.

   A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at T. Leonard Wells Funeral 
Home, with burial in Blandford Cemetery.
