Andrews, Kenneth
Kenneth Andrews "Kenny"  Kenneth Andrews passed away on November 1, 2004 in
Salt Lake City, UT, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.  He
was born on June 1, 1947 in Stoke-on-Trent, England to Thomas William and
Sarah Jacobs Andrews. Married Lena RaNae Groves on September 8, 1971 in Elko,
NV. Kenny was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He always
was friendly and loved to joke with everyone. He served in The U.S. Army for
three years and served a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. He was always
willing to help anyone and he supported his wife and children's activities.
Kenny was talented with automotive problems and worked in this field his whole
life. Avid Nascar fan, he loved to watch the races and collected Nascar
memorabilia. He adored his grandchildren, they brought him a lot of joy and
happiness. Ken is survived by his wife RaNae, son Lynn, daughters, Misti (Jon)
Milner and Aimie (Kevin) Langlois, granddaughter Kenzie and grandson K.J.,
mother Sarah Jacobs Andrews, brothers Keith (Larrie) Andrews and Colin (Gail)
Andrews. Preceded in death by his father Thomas William and brother Ronald.
Special thanks to the caring staff at LDS CCU and shock/trauma ICU. In Lieu of
flowers the family requests donations be made to the LDS Hospital Heart
Transplant Team in memory of Kenneth Andrews thru the Deseret Foundation, 8th
Ave & "C" Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84143. Funeral services will be held
Friday, November 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W.
South Jordan Pkwy. (10600) So. where friends may call Thursday from 6-8:00

Arrigo, Mary Grace
Mary Grace Arrigo 1920 ~ 2004 Mom and Dad Together Again  Our mom and our Nana
passed away on Nov. 2, 2004, in Salt Lake City. Born July 2, 1920, in New York
City to Rocco and Theresa Bellettieri and married Joseph September 14, 1941.
Dad take care of Moms. Mom will be missed by all who love her and know her.
She is our best friend, and our world. She touches our lives with her love,
compassion, gentleness and generosity, and her kitchen and heart are open to
everyone. We love you Moms and will miss you always. Survived by two
daughters, Donna and her sons Travis and Taylor; Jody (Doug and Hershey); her
son Roy (Becky) and their son Joe (Erin) and their family Zoe and Zander, and
their daughter Nicki (Al) and their family Kiya and Ivy; sister Catherine and
brother Sonny and all of her loving nieces, nephews, and friends. We want to
thank our newest family for all their care and love, Luis and Gloria, Edith,
Guillermina (G.), Dianne, Jorge, Martha, Karen, and Belinda. Funeral Mass will
be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 S. 2300 E., on November 5, 2004
at 10:00 a.m. There will be a viewing at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 1300 S. 2350 E.,
on November 4, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be
at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family will gather for a luncheon at St.
Ambrose immediately following the graveside service.

Baird, Monica Marie
Monica Marie Baird 1983 ~ 2004  Monica Marie Baird, 22, of Salt Lake City,
passed away Sunday,  October 31, 2004.  She was born November 3, 1981 in
Murray to Merrill Fredrick Baird and Melinda Bunker Baird. Monica will be
remembered as a bright and loving mother, sister, and daughter.  She is
survived by her son Caleb; mother Mindy (Mark) Ruhlmann, Herriman; father
Merrill (Jolene) Baird, Mansfield, TX; siblings: Annette Baird, Margaux
(Kraig) Lodge, Neil (Kate) Baird, and Lorien (John) Lyde and grandmother Alene
Lanphere. She was preceded in death by her sister,  Nicole, and brother David.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the
Rose Canyon Fourth Ward Chapel, 13768 South 6400 West, Herriman where friends
and family may call from 11:30-12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Valley View

Bell, Cleone Buchanan
Cleone Buchanan Bell 1904 ~ 2004  After a long life of service to her family,
her Heavenly Father and her fellowmen, Cleone passed away on November 2, 2004,
at the age of 100. She was a gentle and loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt and friend.  Born August 3, 1904 in Venice, Utah to
Archibald W. and Mary Peterson Buchanan, the youngest of eight children.
Married Rodney T. Bell in the Manti LDS Temple June 5, 1925. They were blessed
with two children, Virla and Don Rodney. Cleone was a skilled seamstress. Her
hands were often busy knitting, crocheting, netting, crewel embroidering,
quilting or hooking rugs. The home she created was beautiful and filled with
love for her family. She loved the Savior and served in many callings in The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints   Visiting Teacher, Primary and
MIA Teacher, many years in the Relief Society as president, Counselor and
Teacher. She was proud of her pioneer heritage and enjoyed her membership in
the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.  Though her body brought much pain in her
final years, her mind and sense of humor remained keen. She lived in Twin
Falls, Idaho from 1932-1995, when she moved to Salt Lake City to make her home
with her daughter and son-in-law, Virla and Harley Busby; grandchildren Janis
Hill (Cary), Amy Dellenbach (David), Linda Bailey (Phil); great-grandchildren
Ryan, Casey and Heather Hill; Richard, Andrew and Michael Dellenbach; Parker,
Jeremy and Kathryn Bailey and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services
will be held on Friday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 10th Ward,
4601 S. 2565 E. where family and friends may call an hour prior to services.
Interment to take place in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Twin Falls, ID.

Benavidez, Patrick
Patrick Benavidez You will be greatly missed Papas Patrick Benavidez went to
be with the Lord peacefully at 10:35 p.m. November 2, 2004 at St. Mark's
Hospital, of natural causes. Patrick was born March 17, 1952 to Serafin and
Sadie Benavidez in New Mexico. Survived by his wife, V. Viola Benavidez; two
step-children, Frank G. Vigil and V. Rachel Binkerd; three grandchildren,
Kristin C., R. Patrick "Daniel", and Aracely M.; brothers, Johnny J. (Kenny)
and Pete T. Benavidez; sisters, Vera Paula Flores of Salinas, CA; and Della
Lopez of Sidney, NE; many nephews and nieces, and many grand-nephews and
nieces; uncle, Benny Strohm of Salt Lake City, UT; other aunts, uncles and
many friends; two very special friends, Herman Lowe and Paul Martinez. Many
thanks to the principal, Kathy Clark and co-workers of Skyline High School,
and very special thanks to all IC Units of St. Mark's Hospital. Thanks to
Pastor William Blanscett of The Salt Lake City Church of God and Prophecy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6th, 11 a.m. at Redwood
Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. A viewing will beheld Friday evening

Benson, Winston Lowell
Winston Lowell Benson 1909 ~ 2004  Our loving father, husband, brother,
grandfather and great-grandfather, Winston Lowell Benson, passed away
peacefully, at age 95, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at his home in Salt Lake City,
Utah of causes incident to age. Born October 25, 1909 in Moreland, Idaho to
Hans Andrew and Ida England Benson. He attended schools in Moreland, Ricks
College and the University of Idaho. He married Cloris Butler in the Logan
Temple September 12, 1934. The have five children, 20 grandchildren and 40
(and still counting) great-grandchildren.  Winston had several different
careers during his life. First he was an educator and taught school for 12
years throughout Southeastern Idaho. His second was in the insurance industry
as a representative of Beneficial Life Insurance for 19 years, serving many
clients and friends in Southeastern Idaho. For a short time, he was an
entrepreneur as the owner and operator of Benson Book and Music in Blackfoot.
He followed these with 12 years as Probate Judge for Bingham County and five
years in Boise as the Courts Coordinator for the State of Idaho. Winston was
also active in civic and religious organizations throughout his life. He was a
member of the Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, served on the school board, PTA and
National Council of Juvenile Court Judges. He served in many various church
callings including stake clerk, high council and as Bishop of the Blackfoot
4th Ward of the LDS Church. He was an officiator in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple
and served two missions with his wife for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Lansing, Michigan from 1976-77 and in the Family History
Library in Salt Lake City, Utah from 1991-92. Music was in his blood
throughout his life. He organized and played in many dance bands including his
own Benson Family Band and played for innumerable weddings, church and
community dances, and other activities. He wrote music and published special
songs for his and each of his children's weddings, his parents' and his own
Golden Wedding anniversaries. One of these songs was even performed by
Lawrence Welk, on his TV show. In 1992, Winston and Cloris moved to Salt Lake
City, Utah to be closer to family members. In their later years they spent
their winters in the St. George, Utah area and developed many friendships at
the Templeview RV Park where they helped organize and participated in chorus
and musical activities there. Winston will be missed by all who knew him. He
touched the lives of everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Cloris;
sons, L. Jay (Sharon), Salt Lake City, and Jerry (Calleen), New Milford,
Connecticut; brothers, Stanton (Marion), Salt Lake City; Noel (Pat) Blackfoot,
ID; sister, Laura Taylor, Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his
sons, Bryce and Lowell; daughter, Kaye. Funeral services will be held Friday,
Nov. 5, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the Taylors Grove Ward, 4845 S. Woodhaven,
Taylorsville, UT where a viewing will be held 1-1:45 p.m. prior to service.
Another funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the
Blackfoot 4th and 11th Wards, 520 North Shilling, Blackfoot, Idaho where a
viewing will be held, 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment, Moreland
Cemetery, Moreland, Idaho.

Blackwell, Brayden A.
Brayden A. Blackwell 1988 ~ 2004  Brayden A. Blackwell, 16 of Circleville,
Utah, passed away November 2, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile
accident. He was born March 15, 1988 in Panguitch, Utah to Rick and Mollie
Blackwell. He loved sports and played on many Piute High School teams, was an
avid sportsman, loved being with his friends and family.  He is survived by
his parents of Circleville; brother, Richard Bryce (Marianne) Blackwell of
Middleton, ID; sisters, Laurie Blackwell, Morgan (Lance) Eliason both of St.
George; two nephews, Brock and Brogen Blackwell; grandfather, Henry "Dick"
Blackwell of Circleville; grandmother, Mae Wright of Pleasant Grove, UT. He
was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irene Blackwell, William A. "Bill"
Wright. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 1:00

Breinholt, Marci Adele
Marci Adele Breinholt 1976 ~ 2004  Marci Adele Breinholt, 28, returned home to
her Heavenly Father October 30, 2004 in Erda, UT.  She was born June 26, 1976
in Salt Lake City, UT to Dan and Valerie Breinholt. Married Cris Pereira, Salt
Lake City. Later divorced. Marci taught us the meaning of courage during the
past three years as she battled mesothelioma, a rare and deadly form of
cancer. Marci will always be our "hero". Marci loved the film industry, in
particular working with the Sundance Film Festival. She also cherished her
visits to Hawaii and the serene calm of the ocean. Marci always brought a ray
of sunshine to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her unique sense
of humor and the love that she had for her family and friends. We love you,
Marci. We will always remember you. Heaven's a much brighter place now that
you're home. Marci's family would like to thank Dr. Michael P. Collins, Dr.
William E. Nibley, Dr. William T. Sause and all of their respective staffs who
loved and comforted Marci through this battle with cancer. Special thanks to
Sonia Pereira's family for all their love and support. Marci is survived by

Joseph Lee Bridgewaters 9/29/23 ~ 10/30/04  Joseph Lee Bridgewaters passed
away October 30, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born September 29, 1923 to
James T. and Mary Drawn Bridgewaters. Married Joyce Leggroan Bridgewaters in
Las Vegas, Nevada. Served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Worked for the
U.P.R.R. for 40 years. He was an avid bowler and was in the Bowling Hall of
Fame. Survived by his wife, Joyce, daughters: Jo Ann Bridgewaters, Marlene
Gray, Twila Hill, Valerie Kimble, Tracie Wyatt, Trudy Rigtrup, and son, Leon
Wyatt. Also, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, brothers: Jake
and Claude, sisters: Claudette Perkins and Wynetha Bridgewaters. Preceded in
death by parents and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be
Saturday, November 6, 2004, 11 a.m. at the Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East
700 South. Family and Friends may visit on Friday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior

Castono, Charles Daniel Thomas
Charles Daniel Thomas Castono 1973 ~ 2004  Charles Daniel Thomas Castono, born
March 20, 1973 in Wyoming, died in his home November 1, 2004. Son of Laura
Jean Castano and Charles Wells Rocky Chapman III.  Survived by his loving
family, Darlene Castano, Dominique Skyler Castano and Ayla Jean Castano. 
Although he struggled in life, he was overcoming obstacles and moving in a
positive direction. He loved the outdoors. Some of his passions were mountain
climbing, snowboarding, and fishing with his girls. He excelled in the
culinary arts. He was a gifted artist and writer. He was loved by many and
will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 5,
2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Farmington City Cemetery. Friends may call at Russon

Coleman, Bob D.
Bob D. Coleman Happy 47th  Anniversary   Bob D. Coleman passed away peacefully
surrounded by his dear wife and family on Oct. 30, 2004.Bob was born October
3, 1933, to Pernal and Virl Irene Lawson Coleman in Wellington, Utah. Bob was
a special man that would give to anyone. Bob was honorably discharged from the
Army in 1952. He graduated from barber school and worked in a barber shop
where he met the girl of his dreams Sarah Hoopes in a beauty shop next door.
They married  Nov. 4, 1957. Bob was an avid gardener which was apparent to all
when they saw his gardens and flowers. For the past 10 years Bob and Sarah
have enjoyed relaxing with family and friends at their property in Fruitland.
He loved to ride the four wheeler around his property with his family,
especially his grandchildren. Bob loved doing things with his wife. They
enjoyed taking cruises, camping, and frequent trips to Wendover. In earlier
years, Bob loved and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son Lindsey and
grandson Ryan. He retired from Zions Security Corp. at the age of 62 where he
worked as a plumber for 30 years. Bob loved all animals. He was always
surrounded by birds, cats, dogs, and the occasional goat. Pooh his favorite
cat and Deacon his German Shepherd, will miss him very much. He will be missed
by all of his family, extended family, and friends. Bob was a father, a
grandfather, a great husband, a soon to be great-grandfather and an incredible
friend. Bob loved all his grandchildren and was a Popa to Adyson. Bob is
survived by his wife of 47 years Sarah; sons Jami and Lindsey (Jennifer);
daughters Virl Ann (Richard) Hawkins, Natalie (Tyrell) Duce and Bobi Coleman;
his nine grandchildren, Ryan, Jacquelyn, Brandi, Allysa, Kayla, Tyler,
Bowdrie, Ben and Adyson; sisters Lita (Jim) Redford, Fawn Salzetti, Maxine
Braby, Karen Evans; brothers Parry Coleman, Tom (Lucy) Coleman, Dan Coleman;
many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many beloved relatives. A
viewing will be held at the Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple) from 6-8
p.m. on November 4th. Funeral services to honor his life will beheld Friday,
Nov. 5th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rose Park Stake Center, 760 No. 1200 West, with
an hour viewing to precede the service. Interment: Wellington City Cemetery.

Henry Charles Cottle 1924 ~ 2004  Henry Charles Cottle, 80, passed away
November 2, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Henry was born January 17, 1924 to
Abraham and Percilla Smith Cottle, in Fairview, Idaho. He married Ione Maughn
Burbank on October 10, 1942 in Weston, Idaho. Henry loved keeping up his home
and yard. He always supported his family in all activities. He was a great
host and friend to all. He was married for 62 years to the love of his life
"Ione". He is survived by his wife, children, Brent (Dale), Kenneth
(Belvadean), Andrea (Jon) Nedles, Annette Cottle, Anthony (Katherine),
Clifford (Sandy); brother, Rex; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Nada and Florence. Funeral Services
will be Sat., November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900
E. Friends and family may visit Friday, November 5, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at
Memorial Mortuary and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the services on Saturday.

Beverly HendersonDaly 1921 ~ 2004  Beverly Henderson Daly, age 82, passed away
November 3, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 10, 1921 in
Cannonville, Utah, daughter of James Newton and Cora Evans Henderson. Married
Walter Kirk Daly, June 22, 1941 in Panguitch, Utah; later solemnized in the
Salt Lake Temple. She graduated from Stevens Henagar College and was a
secretary at Skyline High School for 20 years. She was an intelligent woman,
avid reader and close follower of politics. A caring person who enjoyed family
and friends. An excellent cook and hostess of family gatherings. Survived by
son, Roger Kirk (Diane) Daly; daughters, Dianne (Jim) Kelsey, Janet (Mark)
Gustavson; grandchildren, Meg and Matthew Daly, Jill (Kelsey) Martinez,
Jeffrey, Brian, Todd and James Kelsey, Eric, Stephen and Jennifer Gustavson,
Todd and Mandy Elledge; great-grandchildren, Russell Martinez, Madeline
Elledge, Landon Kelsey; sister, Shirley (Jean) DeBouzek. Preceded in death by
parents; husband; sisters, Allie, Helen, Wilma and Mary; brother, Walter.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at McDougal
Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held at 9:00
a.m. prior to services. Graveside service will be held Saturday, 4:00 p.m. at
the Panguitch Cemetery, Panguitch, Utah.

DeMille, Ruth Jaensch
Ruth Jaensch DeMille 1926 ~ 2004  Ruth Jaensch DeMille, age 78, passed away
October 30, 2004 in Orem, UT. She was born June 29, 1926 in Zwickau, Germany
to Heinrich Jaensch and Johanne Schreiter. The family immigrated to Utah prior
to Ruth's first birthday. Ruth grew up in Salt Lake City where she attended
South High School and LDS Business College. She married Elwin DeMille,
November 18, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Hurricane,
UT where they raised their family. The past few years, Ruth lived with her
daughter Jill in American Fork. Ruth was an active and faithful member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Primary, Young
Women, and the Relief Society. She was an excellent teacher influencing many
lives. She especially loved German extraction and the friends she made there.
She worked for Hall Brothers Construction as a secretary for 27 years. She was
a proficient typist, typing over 110 wpm. Ruth was a happy, friendly, and
positive person who loved people and made many friends wherever she went. She
especially delighted in her grandchildren, always making sure the cookie jar
was full. She was a dedicated mother who loved homemaking, especially
crocheting, cooking, quilting and sewing. She is survived by her children
David (Helen) DeMille of Cedar City, UT; Colleen (Ken) Talbot of Hinckley, UT;
Brent J (Emilee) DeMille of Orem, UT; Jill (David) Albin of American Fork, UT;
15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers Roland Jaensch of
Bountiful, UT; Melvin Jaensch of Yucaipa, CA; and Karl Jaensch of Garden
Grove, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Elwin DeMille, a brother
Alfred Jaensch, and her sister Hanna Sweat. The family wishes to thank the
staff of the Utah Valley Dialysis Center for their loving and professional
care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 12:00 noon
at the Hurricane Sky Mountain LDS Chapel (402 N. 2600 W., Hurricane). Friends
may call Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the
church. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction

Wilford Pratt Facer  (Gone Fishing) "Pops"  Wilf, age 76, passed away
peacefully at home October 27, 2004 following a battle with cancer.Born Sept.
22, 1928 in Smithfield, Utah to Lester E. And Rosabel Bingham Facer. Served

"Jack of all trades" in the construction industry. Wilf lived to fish and
loved to hunt with his sons. He taught them to respect the wild life and
nature and always told them to leave nothing behind in nature but their
footprints. He loved telling jokes to make people laugh. Survived by his wife;
six children, Greg (Sharon), Nyssa, OR; Tim (Lora) Oak City, UT; Sidney
(Kathy), Bluffdale, UT; Lorrie (Keith) Crowther, Sanford, CO; Christian
(Kaelynn), Morgan, UT; Paul (Tawny), Bountiful, UT; 28 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters. Preceded in death by
parents, brothers and grandson. A special thanks to Michaela and family for
their love and support, and to Michaela for the many shots she gave Willie. We

Francisco Flores, Jr."Frank" and "Pancho "  Francisco Flores, Jr. passed away
November 2, 2004. He was born in Puerto Rico to Francisco Sr. and Bernadina
Flores on December 3, 1925. He married his sweetheart, Isolina in 1966. He was
the wonderful father to eight children. Frank and Isolina moved to Utah in
1982. Frank worked for American Express for 28 years. He loved
sports-especially his beloved "Mets" team. He enjoyed swimming, dancing, and
gambling, but best of all he loved playing with his grandchildren. Survived by
his wife, Isolina; children, Sonia (TX); Francisco III (FL), Yvonne (FL); Irma
(NY); Carmen (England); Anthony (TX); Elaine (UT); and Thomas (UT); 16
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Paula Flores,
John Flores, Victor Flores, Aida Flores, Julia Paniagua, Lucy Martines,
Wilfredo Flores, Pedro Flores, Jose Flores, and Rosa Flores. Preceded in death
by his sister, Gillemina Vaquez and brother, Desiderio Flores. The family
would like to thank all the medical staff at Jordan Valley Hospital for their

Fox, Anona Nielsen
Anona Nielsen Fox "Calamity Jane"  98-year-old Anona Nielsen Fox, AKA  
"Calamity Jane", aka "Red Horse Woman", who cherished life, loved family and
friends, "kicked down the pearly gates" on November 2, 2004 to be with the
love-of-her-life, husband, Issac Fox; mother, Hannah Nielsen; son, LaVar Fox
and his wife, Betty; grandson, Randy Fox; son-in-law, Bud Schmittroth;
great-granddaughter, Hannah; and her five younger siblings, Burt, Roy, Vern,
Hobart and Eva. Born July 8, 1906 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Hannah Bell &
Niels Nielsen. She married her "handsome prince" on May 19, 1924. Later sealed
(Nov. 8, 2001) in the Temple for all eternity. Together they raised five
children. She loved horses and rode in the "Silver Spurs (horse) Riding Club"
for over 50 years. She was one of the original members and founders. She and
her sweetheart rode in a square-dance performed on horse-back in rodeos. She
wrote poetry, loved life, music, dancing, camping, hunting, fishing, gardening
and traveling to Mexico in her motor home. She was adopted into the Sioux
tribe at 97 and was given the name "Red Horse Woman" (she has red hair and
rode a red horse). She was a gypsy at heart and an Indian in her soul. She is
survived by her children and their spouses, Deonne Schmittroth, Janiel and
Wallace Devey, Eugene and Alice Fox, Colleen and Bill Harper; 21
grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren. "I'm
riding off to the sunset, please don't cry for me!" Her funeral services will
be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary,
4760 So. State St., Murray, Utah, where friends may call from 10:00-12:00
prior to services. Graveside ceremonies will held at Murray City Cemetery and
will begin at approximately 1:45 p.m. with a short Indian graveside ceremony
following.

Hammer, Theora
Theora Hammer 1921 ~ 2004  Theora Elizabeth Pugmire Hammer was born June 5,
1921, in Midvale, Utah, to Justin Gerald and Clara Lzina Barker Pugmire. She
quietly left us October 31, 2004, after having spent the day before with sweet
visits from each of her devoted sons.  Theora found the love of her life at
age 16, and married him September 4, 1937. They were sealed in the Salt Lake
Temple in March 1956. There could never be any doubt about the love shared by
these two sweethearts for 67 years. Their undying devotion to their marriage
and each other has set the model and standard for their family. When Lloyd
died in June, Theora's heart went with him. Her passing is softened with the
knowledge that she has joined Lloyd. Theora loved to be around good friends
through Birthday, Sewing and Quilting Clubs. She and Lloyd also enjoyed any
kind of dance, but most especially square dancing. They bowled together on a
variety of bowling leagues. Theora was a faithful member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her callings included working in the
Primary, Mutual and Relief Society. Upon retirement, she and Lloyd served as
full time missionaries in the California Ventura Mission, and continued their
service for nine years as temple workers at the Jordan River Temple. Theora
served as manager of the original Spudnut Shop on State Street, worked at the
SL Tennis Club, and managed the Golfer's Halfway House at the Salt Lake
Country Club for over two decades. "Teddy" was loved by her customers. Theora
will be revered as a wife, mother and grandmother. Her delight in showing love
through her cooking - sugar cookies, divinity, meatloaf or Teddy-burgers - was
legendary. She was an avid sports enthusiast, which was a "plus" while raising
four active boys. Her support at their games continued by attending her
grandsons' "Hammer Strength" games regularly. She is preceded in death by her
parents; her brothers Gerald, Lavon and Farrell Pugmire; and her best friend
and husband, Lloyd. She is survived by her brothers, Devearl and Glenn
Pugmire, and her sister June Gale; her children, Ron (Judy) Hammer; Gordon
(Beth Ann) Hammer; Doug (Karren) Hammer; and David (Linda) Hammer. She had 21
grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
Friday, November 5, at 12:00 noon, at the South Cottonwood 13th Ward, 5235 S.
Wesley Rd (1120 E.). Friends may call Thursday, Nov. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the
Cottonwood Holladay Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr.; and from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
at the church prior to funeral services. The interment will be at Larkin
Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. In lieu of flowers, the family requests

Henderson, Betty Ruth
Betty Ruth Henderson 1921 ~ 2004  Betty Ruth Henderson, aunt, sister, teacher
and friend returned to her Father in Heaven on Oct. 31, 2004. Betty was the
second daughter born to Alma John and Janet Smith Henderson on January 21,
1921.  Betty has been suffering from Alzheimer's for over 10 years and was
living at the Silverado Senior Living at the time of her passing. Betty grew
up and lived most of her life in Draper, Utah on Relation Street. There she
and her four sisters worked and played on the family farm, raising chickens
and later mink. In her later years, she enjoyed raising her beautiful flowers.
Betty taught clothing and textiles for over 20 years at Jordan High School.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions, including
a member of the Tabernacle Choir. Betty spent her life caring and giving to
others. She loved shopping, singing, traveling, bowling, golfing and cheering
for the Jordan Beet Diggers and BYU.  Preceded in death by her parents,
sisters, Lorna Moore and Lova Carter. She is survived by sisters, Dorothy Judd
(Tom), and Shirley Rowley; 14 nieces and nephews.  A Memorial to her life will
be held Friday, November 5, 2004, at 12 noon at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at
the Draper City Cemetery. A special thanks to Silverado Living and Hearts for

Leila Carter Howard Loving Wife, Mother & Grandma  Our beloved wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Nov. 1, 2004 of natural
causes. She was 82 years old. Leila was born March 27, 1922 to Conard E.
Carter and Manilla White Carter in Porterville, Utah. Survived by husband,
Allen H. Howard of Midvale; children, Lorraine B. (Don-deceased) Turner,
Milton, Utah; Glen (Linda) Howard, Quartz Hill, CA; Neal (Debby) Howard, West
Valley City, Utah; Ruthann (Donald) Breitling, Murray, Utah; and Paul Howard,
St. Peters, Missouri; sisters, Phyllis (Grant) Carter, Porterville, Utah;
MIldred (Marr) Fawcett, Layton, Utah; brother, Ivan (Ludene) Carter, Morgan,
Utah. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Thelma Lovejoy. Leila and
Allen H. Howard were married on Nov. 29, 1952 in Elko, Nevada. They were
sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Dec. 1, 1954.
Leila was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, serving as a District Relief
Society Supervisor, Visiting Teacher, and a Cub Scout Leader. Mother was also
a member of DUP. Leila and Allen served an LDS Family History Mission from
January 1990 to July 1991. During her life she also enjoyed music, singing and
traveling. The family would like to extend thanks to family friend, Billy
Fiorelli. Also a special heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Residence of
CareSource (a hospice) for the compassionate care they provided Leila in her
final days. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at 11 a.m.

Imbler, Everett Rollin
Everett Rollin Imbler 7/16/25~10/31/04  Everett Rollin Imbler, 79, beloved
husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October
31, 2004 due to the effects of Alzheimer's. Ev was born on July 16, 1925 in
Covina, California to Arthur and Lillian Carper Imbler. In 1943--before
graduating from high school-he was drafted into the United States Army Air
Corps, where he served in B-17 and B-29 squadrons until he was honorably
discharged on March 16, 1946. He then returned to Van Nuys High School where
he received his diploma. Everett married his eternal sweetheart, Lois Taylor,
on August 25, 1948 in Canoga Park, CA. They moved to Duarte, CA where they
raised their six children.  After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, Everett and Lois were sealed for time and all eternity in
the Los Angeles Temple April 19, 1969. Everett worked for GTE in
communications and data systems for 33 years, and helped install communication
systems at the "Western White House" during the Reagan administration. He
learned to love flying during World War II, and was later able to enjoy this
skill as a private pilot, commuting to and from work and avoiding the busy
California freeways. Ev and Lois retired to the Seattle area where he did
consulting work. In 1991, they moved to Omak, WA, then to Woodruff, UT in 1997
and finally to Sandy, UT in October 2000. Everett was a faithful member of the
LDS church, and served as a Seventy and a High Priest. He loved fishing,
hunting, and camping with his family-especially in the Sierras. He was an avid
reader and life-long learner. There were very few subjects in which he was not
well-versed.  He is survived by his Beloved Wife, Lois Iona Taylor, Sandy;
Brother, William Arthur Imbler (Betty), Ventura, CA; Children David Imbler
(Chris), Lynnwood, WA; Donald Imbler (Dorothy), Upland, CA; Cheryl Lynn;
Michael Imbler (Kathleen), Sandy; Richard Imbler (Susan), Spokane, WA; Anita
Pittman (Kim), Delta; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  The
family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care Everett
received from the staff at the Stratford Alzheimer's Wing at The Wentworth in
Draper, and from Dr. Mark A. Rada. Funeral services will be held Saturday,

Jackson, Hazel Phillips
Hazel Phillips Jackson 1918-2004  Our sweet mother, Hazel Phillips Jackson,
died peacefully at her home on October 31, 2004, surrounded by her husband,
Richard W. Jackson and her children and their spouses. She was born in Lehi,
Utah, January 6, 1918, the daughter of Abel J. Phillips and Emma Goates
Phillips.  Hazel attended school in Lehi until the family moved to Salt Lake
City in 1934.  She graduated from East High School in 1935 and from the
University of Utah in 1939, with a BA Degree in Primary and Secondary
Education with a major in music, graduating with honors.  She taught school at
Uintah Elementary in Salt Lake City. Hazel married Richard W. Jackson in the
Salt Lake Temple, June 10, 1942. They moved to Berkeley, California, for our
father to finish his graduate work in architecture.  She is the loving mother
of six children:  LouAnn (Robert H. Anderson), Richard P. (Sharon Turner),
Kent P. (Nancy Porter), David P. (Vicki Smith), Charlene (Rand C. Locke), and
Roger P. (Rhonda Ballard). We were so loved by her and consider it a privilege
to be her children. She is survived by her husband, 31 grandchildren and 26
great-grand-children who were the joy and delight of her life.  Preceded in
death by her parents and brother, Alvin G. Phillips. Our mother was a member
of the LDS Church and blessed her family with her testimony of the Savior. She
served with her husband and children in his Building Mission assignment in
Europe.  She also served with him as a Service Missionary in the South Salt
Lake Stake and they served a mission in Nauvoo together.  She taught piano to
many young people.  Mother was a teacher, served as Ward and Stake organist,
twice as Relief Society President, Counselor in the State YWMIA, on a Stake
Primary Board and many years on a Stake Relief Society Board. She was a
long-time member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Our mother taught us
to love each other. We honor her life and send her home to our Heavenly Father
with Joy. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at 12:00
Noon at the Canyon Rim 3th Ward Chapel, 3051 So. 2900 East.  Friends may call
Wed. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. and
from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services on Thursday at the ward.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Paul James "World's Greatest Grandpa" Paul James, age 55, passed away November
2, 2004 in West Valley City, Utah, surrounded by family, after a courageous
battle with cancer and diabetes.   Born July 6, 1949 in Logan, Utah, son of
Heber Obray and Florence Barnes James.  Married Mary Mellor January 26, 1968
in West Valley City, Utah.  He loved camping, yard work and especially taking
care of his grandkids.   Survived by wife, Mary; sons, Steven (Lisa) James,
Kelly James; daughters, Carrie (Stevie) Manzanares, Cindy James; eight
grandchildren; sisters, Ilabeth (Wendall) Rock, Helen (Paul) Eppich, Sheila

Carol Dee Janssen 1942 ~2004  Our loving mother, grammy, sister and friend,
Carol D. Janssen, age 62, passed away October 31, 2004 in West Valley City,
Utah. Born April 7, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Douglas Lyle and
Jayne Bradley Petersen. She married Konrad Janssen, August 12, 1961 in Elko,
Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1998. Memories of mom will be
treasured. She loved to hug and laugh with her friends and family. Her
greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was always prepared to show off their
pictures.  Survived by daughter, Janet Janssen; sons, John Janssen and Joseph
(Donna) Janssen; eight grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Terry) Petersen and Doug

Larry Love (Anita), Susan Best (David), Janice Hendrickson (Brian), 21
grandchildren, 53 great- grandchildren; brothers: Richard Kisner, Allen
Kisner, sisters: Betty Goring, Bonnie Gassen, numerous nieces and nephews and
wonderful friends. Preceded in death by husband, parents, brothers: Elvin,
Russell and Glen Kisner, sister: Claris Gregg, great- granddaughters: Kali and

age 92, passed away on October 30, 2004 in North Ogden, UT. She was born June
9, 1912 in Huntington, UT to James Henry Stevenson and Ethel Tamer Grange
Stevenson. Graduated from Carbon High School and Brigham Young University.
Married Mark Francis Jones on January 19, 1941 in Kingman, AZ. Member of the
LDS Church. Elizabeth's greatest joys were her children and her temple work.
She served in the Jordan River Temple for many years. She loved teaching
school, which she did for 24 years. Loved music and to play her organ in
church and the temple. Also loved to knit and gave away many gifts. She
enjoyed sports, football, basketball and baseball. Her son-in-law nominated
her as the BYU "Super Fan" in the Fall of 2002. Elizabeth is survived by her
children, Mark F. (Rebecca) Jones II, Glen F. (Launa) Jones and Denise J.
(Jim) Bethel; sister-in-law, Viola P. Stevenson; nine grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at 2:00
p.m. at the Spencer 6th Ward, 8180 W. 3320 S., Magna. The family will receive
friends at a viewing on Fri.  from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335

Patrick (Pat) Stephen Kelleher 1953 ~ 2004  TAYLORSVILLE- Patrick (Pat)
Stephen Kelleher, 50, passed away Nov. 1, 2004.  Born Dec. 26, 1953 in Salt
Lake City, Utah to William P. and Georgia (Lee) Marie Kelleher. He is survived
by his wife Tracie, dog Emily, brother William G. (Christina), nephews Ryan
Christopher, Sean Patrick, and Michael Casey Kelleher and life long friends
Bart and Ron. Pat was currently employed at Six States Distributing and was
previously employed at Hafers Inc. He enjoyed the interaction with his
customers as well as fellow employees. Pat enjoyed fishing with his mother,
brother and nephews. He looked forward to Spring and Fall seasons so he could
play golf   one of his many passions. In August of 1982 Pat made a 169 yard
hole in one with an 8 iron while golfing with his mother at Jeremy Ranch. He
also enjoyed traveling, cruising and spending time with his family. Pat was an
avid sports fan and loved the Boston Red Sox. Pat enjoyed countless Happy
Hours at the family cabin, snowmobiling and hunting with many close friends.
Pat will be missed by all who knew him. He had a giving and loving heart. Many
thanks to Cecil Meadows, the Family and Friends at Southeast Christian Church,
The Point Christian Church, Valley Christian Church and Sonrise Baptist Church
for your constant prayers and concerns. Pat, you will always be in my heart
and thoughts. Even though we had our differences, you were very important to
me. I will always cherish our time together. I miss you!!! Services will be

Franklin Louis Kohagen "Dear Old Dad" 11/06/32 ~ 11/01/04  Our beloved
husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Franklin Louis Kohagen,
age 71, passed away November 1, 2004.Born on November 6, 1932 in Waverly, Iowa
to Edwin Ernest Kohagen and Clara O. Borchers Kohagen. He married Dorothy
Kuske on October 22, 1954. They were later divorced. He married Louise
Bridenbaugh on July 26, 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of Hope
Lutheran Church. After eight years of service in the U.S. Navy and Navy
Reserve, he had a long career as an electronics technician for the Federal
Aviation Administration. For several years, he was involved in real estate and
owned Century21 Frank Kohagen Realty. He most recently was a manager for
several years with Lowe's Home  Improvement Stores. His survivors are his wife
Louise Kohagen, son Mark (Joni) Kohagen, son Chuck (Judy) Kohagen, daughter
Paula (Keith) Rigby, daughter Pam (Don) Healey, six grandchildren; one great-
grandchild, sister Ardath Kreimeyer, sister Marilyn Van Horn, four
step-children, 11 step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. The memorial service will

Krause, Edward Milton "Ed"
Edward Milton "Ed" Krause A New Beginning  Edward Milton "Ed" Krause, beloved
husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, true friend
and wonderful neighbor, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2004 in Salt
Lake City, Utah, due to complications of lung cancer. He was born on Sept. 28,
1932 in Bountiful, Utah to Hyrum Krause and Eleanor Marie Larsen. His mother
died a week later on Oct. 5, 1932. His father married Anna Cannon. She and
Hyrum raised him and his three older brothers along with their three 
children.  Edward and Jo Ann Davis were married Feb. 15, 1951 in the Yalecrest
Ward by Owen G. Reichman in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended South High School and
retired after 33 years of faithful service from Kennecott Copper, as Foreman,
Ore Haulage, Magna, Utah. He loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and
camping. He had an inquiring mind and loved to "ponder" on many subjects. He
was interested in people's problems and enjoyed discussing different solutions
with them. He took pride in doing things well and helping others. Edward is
survived by his wife, Jo Ann; granddaughter, Jesse Jo and her sons, Evan Mark
and Dylan Shay Row, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Linda (Mike) and
their daughter, Alta Wynn, Las Vegas, Nevada; also daughter, Tabitha (Ryan)
and their son Korben Worthington, Texas; brother, Ronald Lars (Bud) (Vivian)
Krause of Salt Lake City; and sister, Carlene (Joe) Robinson of Twin Falls,
Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly, and many life long
friends. Preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother, loving son Edward
Mark; brothers, Earl, Ralph,Paul and sister, Janaye  Bradshaw. Our family
would like to especially express appreciation to Dr. Thomas Kurrus, and Dr.
Jeffery Kurrus at the St. Marks Hospital; Dr. Graydon Harker, Dr. Richard E.
Hansen and R.N. Kendal Brinkman of the Utah Cancer Specialists; and the staff
at CareSource, for their concern and loving care. Funeral services for Ed will
be held on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Heights Ward,

Kruger, Alma Edmund
Alma Edmund Kruger 1920 ~ 2004  Alma Edmund Kruger, a good and honorable man,
died peacefully Sunday, October 31, 2004 of natural causes. Born March 29,
1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Julius Edmund and Lina Martha Otto Kruger.
Attended West High and graduated in 1938. He was privileged to serve as a
missionary in Brazil and helped lay the foundation of a mighty work that
continues to roll forward. Served honorably in the US Army during World War
II. After the war, he married Hilda Maaike Kramer in the Salt Lake Temple
February 13, 1947. Hilda often said, "I could not have picked a more perfect
husband". Retired from the Post Office after 32 years, the last 15 at the
Foothill Station. Alma loved sports and games and knew how to have fun. He
pitched for neighborhood baseball and kick soccer games played in the street
well into his 70's. Everything was more fun when "Daddy" played. He loved
teaching young boys the game of baseball and coached in the Dilworth Little
League for years. His motto was, "Everyone plays in every game". To the
surprise of many, his teams often competed for the league championship. He was
a friend to all and enjoyed putting a smile on their faces. He was immensely
proud of his 11 children and loved telling everyone about them. He was a great
father who was there when his children needed him and always had a listening
ear and never passed judgement. He made sure we knew and understood what was
right. The gospel of Jesus Christ burned deep within his soul. He loved to
serve in the church and took particular pleasure in being an exemplary home
teacher which he often called "block teaching". He and Hilda served as temple
workers for 13 years in the Salt Lake Temple. He often called his assignment
in the temple the most precious experience of his life. A quiet unassuming
man, he left a legacy of faith and goodness that will reach across
generations. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Nelson,
Martha Nielsen and Alice Wilson; brother, Wilford Kruger. He is survived by
his wife, Hilda; children, Larry (Linda), Randy (Carla), Marlene (Bruce)
Coulsey, Evelyn (Dan) Herzog, Rulon (Leslie), Russell (Susan), Inez (Tom)
Hollingsworth, Lina (John) Robinson, Lloyd (Shelley), Lorraine (Gene)
Hollingsworth, and Carrie (Dean) Barnett; 49 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Harrison; sister-in-law, Venna Kruger;
numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our sincere
appreciation to Paul and Kristi Kruger for the loving care they provided for
the past three years.  Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the
Foothill 3rd Ward, 1794 S. Texas Street. A viewing will be held Thursday,
6:30-8:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd and Friday at the

Agnes Lamoreaux 1908 ~ 2004  Salt Lake City, Utah, Agnes Clarin Lamoreaux, 95,
former Preston, Idaho area resident died Tuesday, November 2, 2004 in Salt
Lake City at the Federal Height Care Center.  She was born Nov. 30, 1908 in
Yankton, South Dakota. She married Marious Lamoreaux, Nov. 14, 1945 in Ely,
Nevada. He died in 1994. She became a beautician and lived for many years in
Salt Lake City, Utah, where her husband worked for the railroad. Agnes is
survived by four brothers, Ernest Clarin, Bloomington, MN; Oliver (Inez)
Clarin, Spearfish, SD; Hilbert (Ardelaine) Clarin, Burnsville, MN; Fred
Clarin, Box Elder, SD; stepson Fred (Afton) Lamoreaux, Conrad, MT; Grandson,
Rhett Lamoreaux, Minneapolis, MN; and granddaughter Robin, Lamoreaux, Spokane,
WA. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Webb Funeral Home, in Preston, Idaho with Pastor

October 30, 2004 in Price.Born September 7, 1938, in Price to John Batista and
Carolyn Corsetti Mabrito. J. Brent was a member of St. Anthony Catholic
Church. He attended College of Eastern Utah and Weber State University. He
loved languages, and fluently spoke Spanish, German, Russian, and French. He
served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. Survived by his sister Tammy

Milligan, Bonnie Jean
Bonnie Jean Milligan 1929 ~ 2004  LOGAN, UTAH - Bonnie Jean Milligan, 74, died
November 2, 2004, at Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah.  She was born in
Smithfield, Utah December 31, 1929, the last of ten children born to James H.
and Emma Johnson Milligan. She taught school for 29 years and retired in 1987.
Upon retirement from teaching she moved back to Smithfield, where she was
active in the LDS Church. She served as a Ward Organist, and volunteered her
musical talents in playing for funerals, and accompanying many soloists.
Bonnie moved to Ogden to help care for her brother, Ralph. After his death,
she remained there for six years, until she had a stroke in 2003. The family
would like to thank all who gave such loving care to Bonnie, at Logan Nursing
and Rehab Center, Logan House, and Sunshine Terrace. She is survived by one
brother, R. Vincent Milligan (Carol) of Ghent, New York. She is also survived
by sisters-in-law, Helen Milligan of Logan; and Maxine Milligan of Salt Lake
City. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded
in death by her parents, brothers Merideth, James, Cleve, Ralph, Herbert, Max,
Jack, sister Janice Moran. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on
Sat., November 6, 2004 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 E. Center Street
in Logan, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 10:30-11:30

Charlotte Ann Moon 1947 ~ 2004  PROVO   Charlotte Ann Moon, 57, passed away ON
Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in Provo, UT.  She was born April 17, 1947, in
Cheyenne, WY to her loving parents Marvin G. and Elaine Moon. She spent the
last two years of her life at the Provo Care Center, Provo, UT. Where she was
loved and cared for by her friends and "family" there. She is survived by two
cousins, Richard A. Carruth, London, England, and Debra A. Ericson, Everett,
WA. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m. at
Leavitt's Mortuary, 836-36th St. Ogden. Friends may call at Leavitt's one hour

Morgan, John (Jack)
John (Jack) Morgan In Sweet Memoriam  Late Saturday afternoon, Oct. 30, 2004,
John Morgan, known as "Jack" to family and friends, slipped peacefully from
this life.  He is survived by Hilda, his beloved wife of 61 years, three sons,
Keith, Tony, and Robert, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born
Dec. 5, 1917, to parents Frederick and Mary Eliza Walsh Morgan, Jack grew to
early manhood in Newport, Wales. He moved to Birmingham, England to pursue the
trade of parts filer for the aluminum industry after his father's early death.
It was in this city of Central Britain that he helped support his mother and
sisters and, eventually would meet his future wife Hilda Irene Heath.
Following six years of military service in the Royal Navy, Jack returned to
marry Hilda on February 13, 1943 at Woeley Castle Catholic Church. In March,
1953, Jack and Hilda sold all possessions to purchase passage aboard the ocean
liner Queen Elizabeth and emigrated to Utah. Their desire to provide a more
stable future for their growing family was realized within four years, when
they purchased their new home in Midvale and settled down close to extended
family and friends. Now, 47 years later, Hilda continues to reside in the
family home. John "Jack" Morgan is best known for his determination to live a
debt -free life and surround himself with the laughter of children and
grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. The viewing will be held at 1:00
p.m. and funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at Lake Hills
Mortuary and Cemetery, 10055 So. State Street, Sandy, followed by graveside
services.

Nelson, Mabel Holt
Mabel Holt Nelson "AuntMame "  Mabel Holt Nelson, age 99, our loving Aunt
Mame, the Popcorn Lady to everyone who knew her, passed away November 2, 2004
in her almost 100 year old family home in South Jordan due to natural causes
of her advancing years. Born September 26, 1905 in South Jordan, Utah to
Samuel Elijah Holt and Margaret Geneva Beckstead. She married M. Henry Nelson,
June 10, 1931. Henry passed away almost 25 years ago on January 11, 1980. Aunt
Mame is believed to have been the oldest living resident born in South Jordan.
She was honored as South Jordan Senior Citizen of the Year during Town Days in
the summer of 2000. She was a wonderful beautician and cosmetologist serving
in the Powder Puff and Makoff beauty salons in Salt Lake for over 40 years.
She had a wonderful magnetic personality who was loved by all and who truly
loved everyone whose life she touched. Her example of unconditional love and
service to her family and friends was most remarkable. She was a lifelong
member of the LDS Church. Mabel is survived by her brother Frank of South
Jordan. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers Dell, Byrum,
Allen, Verl, and Vaughn; sisters, Ivy, Orel, Verda, Rosamond and Reola.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the
River Ridge Temple Chapel, 10200 South 1300 West in South Jordan. Family and
friends may call Friday, Nov. 5 at the same location from 6:00-8:30 p.m. and
Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services. Interment, South
Jordan City Cemetery. Goff Mortuary, funeral directors. Her constant love and
"wit" will be greatly missed but her memories will be with us forever.

Noshirvan, Amir Homayoon
Amir Homayoon Noshirvan Always in Our Hearts and Memories  Amir Homayoon,
beloved father, son, and brother, passed away November 3, 2004, in Tampa,
Florida, with loved ones at his side. Homayoon was born March 21, 1950, in
Teheran, Iran, to Amir Hooshang and Fakhrataj Mesdaghi Noshiravan. He came to
the United States to pursue an education, receiving his bachelor's degree from
the University of South Florida; this was the same location where he was given
loving treatment before his passing. He received his master's in International
Business at Thunderbird Graduate School in Arizona. Before moving to Florida
with his family, Homayoon was vice-president of Beehive International, in Salt
Lake City, Utah. Since moving to Crystal River, Florida, he had started a new
business, Can-Save RX, which became his life's passion. Homayoon had a special
love of sports, music and nature. He competed in numerous volleyball and
basketball tournaments. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends. But most of all, he took special pride in the many accomplishments of
his children. Homayoon is survived by his sons, Alex Kasra and Sammy Ramin;
daughter, Sheeva Marie; life partner, Rose Clements and her daughter Kimberly;
parents Amir Hooshang and Fakhrataj; sisters, Nuschin (Haschem) Towliati and
Niloofar (Mohammed Hassan) Bakhti; brother, Amir Farhang (Joyce) Noshiravan;
and ex-wife Susan Redmond, mother of his children. Services will be held on
Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Larkin Funeral Home, 260 E. South
Temple, Salt Lake City, where friends and family may call one hour prior to
services. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. He will be
dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Pace, Connie Jean Hobbs
ConniePace 1939 ~ 2004  There was a star that shone on high, our loving
daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and grandma, Connie Jean Hobbs Pace passed away
Sunday, October 24, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona after a courageous battle from
C.O.P.D. She was born June 30, 1939 in Scottsbuff, Nebraska. Connie married Al
Pace on Dec. 24th, 1989 in Salt Lake City. They moved to Mesa, Arizona in
1995. Our sister had a pure heart for animals, family and friends. Also was a
talented artist.  Leaves behind one son Kurt Artz and family, her husband Al,
six sisters, two brothers, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Preceded in
death by her dad and nephew Troy Hobbs.  Funeral services were held in Mesa,
Arizona on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004. I'm still here and will always be so never
say goodbye. Here I remain a star up in the sky. We will always love you
Connie.

Papanikolas, Helen
Helen Papanikolas 1917 ~ 2004  Helen Papanikolas was born in a Carbon County
mining town in 1917.  Her parents were George and Emily Zeese, Greek
immigrants. She attended Helper Central School, Carbon High School, East High
School, and graduated from the University of Utah in 1939 with honors. At the
university she was editor of the Pen literary magazine. Following two years as
a medical technologist in the old Salt Lake County Hospital, she married Nick
Papanikolas (U'38). They had two children, Zeese and Thalia. She became
involved in writing ethnic history and continued this for over fifty years.
Her numerous articles were printed in the Utah Historical Quarterly and in
other journals. She was also the author of seven books, both fiction and
non-fiction. Her novel, The Time of the Little Black Bird, won the Utah
Fiction Prize for 2000. She also edited the Utah historians' contribution to
the nation's bicentennial, The Peoples of Utah. As a nationally known speaker
on Greek American experiences, she traveled throughout the country. Her
involvement with ethnic programs brought her many awards from various ethnic
groups and civic organizations. Because of her close connections with the
Greek immigrant generation, she was able to save valuable artifacts. She is a
fellow of the Utah Historical Society; in 1984 the University of Utah awarded
her an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. Her husband shared her concerns
for ethnic people. Together they established scholarship programs for minority
students at the University of Utah and the College of Eastern Utah. Surviving
are her son Zeese (Ruth); and daughter Thalia (Allan) Smart; her
grandchildren: Demetrios (Willa), Nick (Ruth) Smart, Cleo (Steve), Luke
(Tristan) Smart, Eleni, and Tony; and her great-grandchildren: JD, Kallie,
Leo, and Max. Her sisters Josephine Theodore and Sophie Heleotes and many
nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing. Services will be held Friday,
November 5th at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 3rd South and
3rd West, in Salt Lake City. Forty days after the burial, the family will
gather to memorialize Mrs. Papanikolas.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the
Hellenic Cultural Association Museum in care of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Church, 277 South, 300 West, SLC, UT 84101, would be welcomed.  The family

Peterson, Jo Anne Kannes
Jo Anne Kannes Peterson 1933 ~ 2004  Jo Anne "Jody" Peterson, our loving wife,
mother, yia-yia, sister and aunt passed away peacefully in her sleep on
Monday, November 1, 2004. She was born November 6, 1933, to Tom and Helen
Kannes in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She grew up in Utah, graduated from East High
School and attended the University of Utah. She married LTC, Retired, Merrill
"Colonel Pete" Peterson of Grace, Idaho on October 17, 1951. Jody spent the
next 20 years supporting her husband's career in the United States Army,
spending time in Germany, Panama, and at various locations throughout the
United States. She was patriotic to the core, and deeply enjoyed supporting
her husband's military service. Throughout her years as a military wife she
taught teenagers, assisted in schools for the mentally challenged, volunteered
at thrift shops on various posts, and volunteered in every way she could. She
was an active member of the Officers' Wives Club, having served as President
of the Fort Stewart, Georgia chapter in the 1969-70, an assignment for which
she received a service award from the Commanding General. Upon her husband's
retirement from the Army, Jody returned to Salt Lake City in 1971, where she
devoted her life to raising and supporting her family. She was an avid fan of
the ABA Utah Stars and proud member of its Booster Club. She enjoyed watching
and cheering for the Utes and whoever was playing BYU! She also served as an
active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity Mother's Club at the University
of Utah. She dedicated her post military life to her husband, children, and
grandchildren, whom she deeply loved and supported. She was a devout and
dedicated member of the Greek Orthodox Church and proud of her Greek heritage.
She is survived by her husband, Pete, three children, Elaine Peterson, Tom
(Roma) Peterson and Jim (Kim) Peterson; seven grandchildren, Michael (Angela)
Petrogeorge, Joni (Nick) Clark, Brooke Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Whitney
Peterson, Danielle Peterson and Christina Peterson; great-grandson, Zachary
Petrogeorge; goddaughter, Georgette Leventis; three sisters, Mary Diamant,
Sophie (Nick) Comas, and Toula Leventis; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She
is preceded in death by her parents, brother Deno Kannes, and brothers-in-law
Alke Diamant and Mike Leventis.  Friends may call Thursday, November 4, 2004,

Peterson, LaFay Allred
LaFay Allred Peterson "Fay"  LaFay (Fay) Allred Peterson, age 90, passed away
from this mortal life on November 1, 2004. She was born March 19, 1914 in
Naples, Utah to Robert Burton and Sylvia Roberts Allred. She attended Uintah
County schools, graduating from Alterra High School. She married Floyd R.
Peterson of Ogden on October 4, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived
in Roy, Duchesne, Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah. Floyd died in March 1973. Since
then, Fay has lived in Farmington and Fruit Heights. Fay was an active member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held numerous
positions of leadership and responsibility. She served as 2nd Ward MIA
President, counselor in the Roosevelt Stake Primary presidency, ward Relief
Society president (twice), and Roosevelt Stake Relief Society president. She
also served a four-year stake mission and 13 years as a Temple Ordinance
Worker in the Ogden and Bountiful Temples. She was a member of the Aurelia
Rodgers D.U.P. Camp and the Farmington Jr. Literary Club. Fay and her husband
Floyd were owners of the F.R. Peterson Distributing Company for 27 years. She
also served on the first Duchesne County Zoning Commission. She loved being a
homemaker and was an avid gardener and cook. Fay is survived by her children,
Dee (Nancy) Peterson of Fruit Heights; Marie of Branson, MO; and Linda
(Albert) Bird of University Place, WA. Her family includes 11 grandchildren
(two preceded her in death) and 12 great-grandchildren. Fay had limitless
faith in God and spent her life in service to others. She will be dearly
missed and lovingly remembered by her many friends and family. A memorial
services will be held Sat., November 5, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Davis Creek

Pizzuto, Zella
Zella Pizzuto 1913 ~ 2004 PRICE - Zella Addley Pizzuto, age 90, died Nov. 2,
2004 at her home. She was born November 24, 1913 in Price, the daughter of
Elmer and Lorean Warren Addley. Married James "Jim" Pizzuto in 1938 in Castle
Dale. He died September 5, 1993. Member of the LDS Church. She was a lifelong
resident of Price, where she owned and operated Zella's Beauty Shop. Zella was
the oldest beautician in Carbon-Emery County, where she worked until she was
eighty years of age. She was always concerned and appreciative of her many
friends. I have been so lucky to have known so many extra special people. For
those still here, I'll see you later. "God knew you were suffering  That the
hills were hard to climb So he gently closed your eyes And whispered peace be
thine In tears we watched you sinking We saw you fade away Our hearts were
nearly broken You fought so hard to stay It breaks our hearts to see you go

Price, Waldo E.
Waldo E. Price 1935 ~2004  SOUTH JORDAN   Waldo Errol Price, 69, died
Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at his home. He was born October 5, 1935 in Ogden,
a son of Scott B. and Clara Halverson Price. He received his Doctorate in
Education from U.S.C. Waldo married Sharon Lynn Watton on June 12, 1959 in the
Los Angeles LDS Temple.He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Waldo served as
an officer with the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii.  In his younger
years, he worked in the family market for many years. He lived in Southern
California for 37 years and was an elementary school principal for the
Fountain Valley School District.  Waldo was the Orange County Director of the
Master's Program for the University of San Francisco. He loved traveling,
gardening, his cats and most of all, spending time with his children and
grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Sharon, South Jordan; one son and three
daughters, David R. (Kristen) Price, Salt Lake City; Jackie (Kelly) Leavitt,
Cedar Hills, UT; Linda Price, Lake Forest, CA; Carol McCoy, Concord, CA; eight
grandchildren, Jamie (Brian), Torey, Kellen, Logan, Erin, Andrew, Lauren and
Katelyn. Also surviving are one brother, Glade (Connie) Price, Washington
Terrace; and a sister-in-law, Uvonne Price, South Jordan. Waldo was preceded
in death by his parents and one brother, Hal T. Price. Private graveside
services will be held for the family at Lindquist's Washington Heights
Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. A public viewing will be held Saturday at
10 a.m. at the River Ridge 3rd Ward Chapel, 1250 W. Chavez Dr., South Jordan,

Rasmussen, Manasseh Ruel
Manasseh Ruel Rasmussen 1921 ~ 2004  Manasseh Ruel Rasmussen, loving husband
and father, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2004 from an extended illness.
Born to Alford Anderson and Ann Laurel Smith Rasmussen on October 26, 1921 in
West Valley City (formerly Granger), Utah, one of ten children. Ruel attended
elementary and middle schools in Granger and high school in Magna at Cyprus
High. He married Gloria Mae Condie, February 11, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple.
They had three children: Richard, Pamela and Galen. Ruel worked for Kennecott
Copper Corp. in the Magna Mill location for 43 years as a repair
machinist/crane operator, retiring in 1984. He was a wonderful husband and
father and worked very hard, long hours to provide for his family. He was
self-taught in many things in life developing talents in repairing vehicles,
machinery, home repairs and production of a large garden. He was a good
neighbor and offered many acts of selfless service to those in need, giving
freely of his talents. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Ruel was a
life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a
faithful home teacher and consistently achieved 100% visits to his assigned
families until his illness forced him to stop. Ruel held many church positions
during his life including secretary in the Elder's Quorum. He is survived by
his wife, Gloria; sons, Richard (VaLeen) Rasmussen, West Valley City, UT;
Galen (DiAnn) Rasmussen, Syracuse, UT; daughter, Pamela (Carl) Larsen, Magna,
UT; five granddaughters; eight great-grand children; brother, Doyle (Evelyn)
Rasmussen, South Jordan, UT; sisters, Dorothy Johnson, West Valley City, UT;
Ardell Taylor, Midvale, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers and four sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Roy Gandolfi and
his office staff for the excellent and loving care given to Ruel. He always
called Dr. Gandolfi, "Roy, my Boy" and had a special fondness for their
friendship and care. Thanks also goes to the nurses and care givers from
C.N.S. Hospice for their kindness and sensitivity for end of life care; to
Ruel's barber who volunteered to come to the home and cut Ruel's hair; to Home
Options and Garden Terrace for their care during Ruel's final days. Finally,
thanks is expressed to the many neighbors, friends and loved ones who cared
for, and rendered service to, the family including love to Ruel and Gloria's
children and their spouses for their love and help. Ruel was a joker in life
and continued his sense of humor even through his illness. He will be loved
and missed until we meet again in the eternities. Funeral services will be
held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Ward, 4251 S. 4800 W. A viewing will
be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and

Richardson, Marjorie Thorson
Marjorie Thorson Richardson "To Celebrate  Her Life"  Dearly loved Marjorie
Thorson Richardson, a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend,
passed away peacefully November 1, 2004, in Salt Lake City after enduring many
years of health challenges. Faithful, determined, and unwavering, she
persevered to the very end. Though the last years of her journey were
especially difficult, it is now for her a time to rejoice! All is well. 
Daughter of Flora Ernstrom and Arthur J. Thorson, Marjorie was the second of
six children. Born April 8, 1922 in Salt Lake City, she attended Granite High
School, BYU, and graduated with honors from the University of Utah.  Marjorie
had a strong testimony of the Savior and of the restored gospel.  She was an
active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout
her life.  She especially loved family, children, and music. She dedicated the
best years of her life to serving her family.   We will miss Marjorie's
beautiful smile, genuine interest, and encouraging words to each family
member, but will find peace and happiness in her memory.   Marjorie
enjoyedmusic, singing in trios during college. She was a member of the
Tabernacle Choir for 12 years, and also enjoyed singing in the Allegro Chorus,
Jay Welch Chorale, and Salt Lake Oratorio Society. Prior to marriage, she
enjoyed teaching nursery school, kindergarten, and working as LDS Hospital
Personnel Director, where she set up an on-site nursery school, allowing more
nurses to continue working.     She married Acel Wayne Richardson on August
26, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their lives were blessed as they worked
together to raise eight children. She loved the Lord, exemplified faith, and
served in many callings in Young Women, Primary, Sunday School, Stake Mission,
and Special Needs Seminary. She especially enjoyed many years teaching lessons
and music in Primary. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, and
children: Roy Lee, Pamela, Ellen, and Nadine. Survived by her sister, Carol
Adams, sons LeGrand (Wendy) of Draper, UT, Douglas (LuAnn) of Lake Mary, FL,
Donald (Cheryl), and Brian (Susan) both of Sandy, UT, 15 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.   The family expresses deep appreciation to the kind
and devoted caregivers at Highland Cove Care Center.   Funeral services will
be held Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. in the Alta View Ward Chapel,
1950 E. Viscounti Dr. (8600 S.).  Friends and family may call Wed. evening 6-8
p.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, and Thurs. at the
Church 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.  Interment, Salt Lake City

Lila Richens 1920 ~ 2004  ROY/ROOSEVELT - Lila May Montgomery Richens, age 83,
left her earthly home November 1, 2004 to be with her father in heaven. She
was born Dec. 14, 1920, daughter of Edward and Nora McAffee Montgomery. Lila
married John Ivan Richens, June 14, 1941, their marriage was solemnized in the
Salt Lake LDS Temple, May 15, 1964. John died May 14, 1980. She is survived by
one daughter, Donna (Gary) Taylor, Clinton; two grandchildren, five
great-grand-children, brother, Donald (Verna) Montgomery, Ogden, and sister
Hope Sanford, Layton. A viewing will be held at the Monte Vista Chapel at 3845
S. 2000 W. in Roy on Friday, November 5th from 6-7 p.m. Graveside services
will be at the Roosevelt Memorial Park on Saturday, November 6th at 2 p.m.
with a viewing at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North at 1:00 p.m. The

Lenyel Soderman "TogetherAgain "  Lenyel Soderman was reunited with his wife
Goldie on October 31, 2004. Lenyel was born on Dec. 28, 1912 to Emil and Maude
Soderman. Lenyel enjoyed working in his yard, small projects, and spending
time with his family.  Lenyel is survived by his son Robert; three
grandchildren, Terry (Kris) Soderman, Corey Soderman, and Steve (Corie)
Soderman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. at
Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Friends and family are invited

Stewart, Thelma Graves
Thelma Graves Stewart 1921 ~ 2004   Thelma Stewart, beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on
Tuesday, November 2, 2004 and is now reunited with her eternal companion. She
was born August 8, 1921 in Lake Shore, Utah to James Henry Graves and Edna
Rosella Hadfield. She was the third of six children and attended school and
grew up in Springville, Utah. She married Rex K. Stewart, Sr. in the Salt Lake
LDS Temple on August 28, 1942. They made their home and raised their family in
Benjamin, Utah. She is the loving mother of four children: Rex K. (Peggy)
Stewart, Jr. of Salem, Utah; Steven G. (Paula) Stewart of Bountiful, Utah;
Sharon Ann (Gordon) Gillman of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; and Brad L. Stewart of
Bountiful, Utah. Thelma's life was devoted to her husband, children, and close
friends. We are very privileged and blessed to have her as our mother. She
served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her
entire life, and blessed her family with a strong testimony. After Rex
retired, they worked in the Provo LDS Temple and the Family History Center in
Spanish Fork where she continued to serve after Rex's death. Thelma also
served at the Provo Missionary Training Center. She is survived by her four
children; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; in addition to her
brothers, Norman Graves, Ron Graves, and her sister Emma Mason.  She was
teased by her husband and children throughout her life and through it all
developed a wonderful sense of humor. Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Benjamin 2nd Ward Chapel, 3278
West 7300 South. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Walker
Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, and on Saturday at the church
from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the

Voegeli, Carolyn J.
Carolyn J. Voegeli "The Minister's Wife "  Carolyn Jean Voegeli died October
30, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born May 20, 1933 in Brookfield, MO
to Raymond and Kathryn Swain. She moved with her family to Portland, OR where
she graduated from high school and worked at Ben Franklin Bank. She met and
married Rev. Roland Voegeli while he attended seminary in Oregon. The two
moved back to North Dakota where they served several United Methodist churches
during their ministry until Roland's death in 1978. Carolyn is survived by
daughter Nancy of Minneapolis, MN; son Steve and partner, Kari Larson of
Minneapolis, MN; son Craig and partner, Shawn Gensch of Salt Lake City; son
Jeff of Orlando, FL; sister, Marsha Dennis, Cedar Rapids, IA and many special
in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Roland, daughter, Diane and siblings Janet and James. Carolyn loved
family/friends, church, naming squirrels, talking to the birds and recently
she exclaimed "How Beautiful" at seeing new snow on the mountaintops near her
home. She loved the roles of minister's wife, mother and spiritual teacher.
Many thanks to the angels on 1 East, St. Joseph Villa, who provided her and us
home and endless caring and Care Source Hospice who helped make her dying

Wakefield, George Dwight
George Dwight Wakefield 1907 ~ 2004  George Dwight Wakefield, (97) passed away
November 3, 2004, in Salt Lake City.  Dwight was born March 23, 1907, in
Ephraim, Utah, to George Flemming and Ella Peterson Wakefield. He spent his
early childhood in Carbon and Emery Counties. The family moved to the
Sugarhouse area to provide better opportunities. Dwight attended the
University of Utah, and LDS Business College. As a young man, Dwight served an
LDS mission to Great Britain from 1929 to 1931. He was Bishop of the Stratford
East Ward, senior member of the High Council and later a member of Highland
Stake Presidency. He was a host and Day Supervisor at Temple Square Visitors
Center, and a host at Lagoon Pioneer Village. Dwight married Theresa Sears
June 27, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of four
daughters and one son. Theresa died April 9, 1996. He married Kathlyn Farrell
Garff (widow of Lynn Garff) May 19, 1997.  He is survived by his wife, Kay,
and by Gordon (Carol) of Sandy; Karen (Stephen) Stutz of Riverton, Utah;
Laraine (Richard) Hyte, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Sharlene (Gary) Ladle of Salt
Lake City, and brother Dean Wakefield, Spanish Temple in Spain; 25
grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a
daughter, Yvonne Lockwood, and sisters Fay Brophy and Marie Summers. Our
precious father deeply loved his family and was their greatest cheerleader.
Each one thought he loved them best. To step into his home was a cherished
experience. His keen sense of humor was evident to the very end. Daddy loved
the gospel of Jesus Christ and his family with equal conviction. Ever the
optimist, he saw the good in all things. He was truly a man of principle and
integrity. Daddy, your family who knew you best, thanks you for your Legacy.

Noon at Highland Park LDS Ward Chapel (parking 2536 S. 13th East Frontage

Oscar J. Waldvogel 1909 ~ 2004  Born Sept. 14, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Passed away October 31, 2004. Veteran of Word War II. Moved to Chicago,
Illinois in his early twenties and lived in Westchester, Illinois until
October 2001. Survived by brother Otto Waldvogel, Leslie, Arkansas, and
sister, Julia Drury, Murray, Utah. Preceded in death by his wife, Edna Olson
Waldvogel, brothers, Carl and Walter Waldvogel and sister, Clara Astin. The
family would like to thank his sister Julia for her loving care of Oscar over
the last five years of his life.  Burial and services will be held in
Westchester, Illinois.

Wallace, Marion
Marion Wallace 1923 ~ 2004  Our loving mother and grandmother passed away
peacefully October 30, 2004 at the age of 81. Marion was born in Leavenworth,
Kansas on June 23, 1923 to Marshall and Miranda Lyons. Marion married Ernest
Wallace in Leavenworth, Kansas on Feb. 4, 1944 and later moved to Salt Lake
City. Marion loved to cook, entertain and be with her family and numerous
friends. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974 and was a
faithful member for 30 years. Marion is survived by her brother, Raymond
Lyons, Chicago; two sons, Edward and Richard; four daughters, Sherrie, Terrie,
Mary Ann and Karen and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and
great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and
son Johnny. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at 2 p.m. at
Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 So Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. A viewing
will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the services.

Ward M.D., John R.
John R. Ward, MD 1923 ~ 2004  John Robert Ward, MD, age 80, passed away on
November 1, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah of natural causes.  He was born on
November 23, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of John Isaac and Clara Elzi
Ward. He married Norma Harris on November 5, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and
the time of his death, they were preparing to observe their 56th wedding
anniversary. A life well lived by a man well loved. He graduated from the
University of Utah with a B.S. degree in 1944, and received his M.D. degree
from the University of Utah in 1946 He was a resident in Internal Medicine at
Salt Lake County General Hospital, and was later a Fellow in Rheumatology at
Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He joined the
faculty of the University of Utah College of Medicine in 1954, and remained on
the faculty for 38 years retiring in 1992, thereafter awarded the rank of
Professor Emeritus. He was the first Chief of the Rheumatology Division in the
Department of Internal Medicine, serving from 1957 to 1988. In 1967, he
obtained a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of California,
Berkley. He was the Chairman of the Department of Preventive Medicine from
1966-1970. During his distinguished scientific career, he published more than
220 articles describing the many aspects of rheumatic diseases. He received
numerous awards for his service, and was recognized internationally for his
contributions. He was a Master of the American College of Rheumatology and
received their Distinguished Rheumatologist Award in 1994. He was widely
recognized as an outstanding clinician, diagnostician, teacher, and scientist,
and taught generations of medical students through his outstanding example.
John was known for the depth of his humanity, integrity and charity. Typical
of his humble, kind mentoring, is this quote, "I enjoy teaching. We, as
teachers, have to show the students we are interested in them as people and
not just as students. It's the same thing we teach them in dealing with
patients as people and not merely as patients." He exemplified the best of
humankind in every regard. He also served his country in the Army during the
Korean conflict, and retired from the Utah Air National Guard as a Colonel,
serving as the Commander of the 151st USAF clinic for many years. He is
survived by his wife, Norma, and four children, John Harris (Constance),
Pamela Lyn Proctor (Lane), Robert Scott (Diane), and James Alan (Laura). He is
survived by brothers William (Barbara) and Robert (Ivy Jean) and sister
Patricia (Iven) Alsop. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10
great-grand children.  He was preceded in death by sisters Dorothea Ward, Joan
Haynes, and Marguerite Howard. It has been an honor to learn from and be
tutored by him. His warmth, wisdom, integrity and support were a constant
source of strength and direction. Although we will miss his presence, his
influence will continue to inspire us. Funeral Services will be held on Nov.
5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 E. 4000 S. There will be a
viewing on the evening of Nov. 4, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
A viewing will also be held one hour before the service on Friday. Interment:
Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John
R. Ward, MD fund at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center at 175 North

Nancy Janene Bradshaw White "Missy "  Janene passed away suddenly in her sleep
on Sunday morning, October 31, 2004, in Midlothian, Texas. She was born March
10, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ronald Brough Bradshaw and Anita Miller
Bradshaw. Jan grew up in Salt Lake City and Bountiful, Utah. After marrying
Paul White, she made her home in Stephenville and Midlothian, Texas. Jan said,
"I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here just as fast as I could!" She loved
her family and friends, and although most of them were far away, she kept them
close to her through frequent telephone calls and thoughtful notes. Janene is
survived by her husband, children, David and Kristin Holland, Omaha, NB;
Chance White, Staci White and Stephanie Whitehead, grandson Hudson Pirtle,
Texas; her father, brother Bill, and sisters Ronda Burton and Rollene
Bradshaw, nieces and nephews all of Utah. Preceded in death by her mother, and
dog Bart. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Midlothian Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at the Midlothian Funeral
Home, Midlothian, Texas. Friends may visit one hour prior to services.

Belia Zavala (Refugio) California, Eloise Ambis (Jubentino) Mexico, 5 hijos;
Jesus Zavala (Altagracia), Delfino Zavala (Norma) y Margarita Jimenez
(Gerardo). 12 Nietos, Sobrinas y Sobrinos fue precedido en Muerte Por Su
Hermano Jose Zavala y su Hijo Martin Zavala. Los Servicios Funerales se

Zollinger, Willard Eugene
 Willard Eugene Zollinger 1925 ~ 2004  Willard Eugene Zollinger, loving
husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather peacefully passed
away Nov. 3, 2004 at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.  Born March 20, 1925 in
Salt Lake City, Utah to Willard D. and Lillie B. Anderson Zollinger. He
attended East High School in Salt Lake City. Married Reba L. Keele May 29,
1946, sealed for time and eternity August 16, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. A
veteran of World War II, Willard retired from the Air Force in 1966 after 22
years of service, including New Zealand, New Caledonia, Philippines, France
and Hawaii. A member of the Bountiful 13th Ward, he served in many positions,
most recently as Ward Clerk for 14 years. Father of nine children: Jenna V.
(Dan) Grow; Richard (Diana), CA; Willard M. (Victoria); Nalani F. (James)
Moore, OR; Rebecca (Jeff ) Mehaffey, WA; Wyatt E. (Chari), WA; Cheryl R.
(Clifford) Carver; Max K. (Annette) of Hayden, ID; and Charles M. (Jill),
grandfather of 39 and great-grandfather of 35. Brother of J. LaMar (Patricia),
MN; M. David (Barbara) of NSL, Lorna F. (Don) Suggs, UT and sister-in-law
Elizabeth Zollinger, UT.  Preceded in death by his parents, sister Luana,
brother Max A. and great-granddaughters Hannah Johnson and Micah Zollinger.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the excellent care
provided by the staff of the VA Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. 
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at the Bountiful 13th
Ward, 1356 N. 650 E., Bountiful, UT. Friends and family may call Friday
evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Bros. Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and one
hour prior to funeral services on Saturday. Interment: Lakeview Memorial
Cemetery, 1640 E. Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah. Online guestbook
