Lila R. Anderson 1919 ~  2004  GLENDALE/RICHFIELD, Utah   Lila Reese Anderson,
84, passed away November 2, 2004 in Richfield, Utah.  Born, November 29, 1919
in Mt. Carmel, Utah to John Henry and Susanna Louise Kellar Reese. Married,
John Dallas Anderson on July 19, 1936 in Mt. Carmel, sealed St. George LDS
Temple July 31, 1948. He died June 24, 1999.  Survived by son, Eugene Dallas
(Olga) Anderson; daughter, Bonnie (Phil) Nay; 12 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Clarence (Joyce) Spencer; daughters-in-law,
Ilene Deamer and Sharlene Rowley; brothers and sisters, Kathleen Brinkerhoff,
Helen Jensen, Ruby Swapp, Nada (Elvon) Spencer, Annabelle Brinkerhoff, Clinton
(Melba) Reese, Laurence (Eleanor) Reese; and Mona Fullmer. Preceded in death
husband; parents; children, Vaughn Reese Anderson, Neil John Anderson, Collene
Spencer, and infant twin sons; sister, Elizabeth Anderson and brother, John H.
Reese; one grandson, Edward Lee Anderson. Funeral services, Monday, Nov. 8,

Bell, Cleone Buchanan
Cleone Buchanan Bell 1904 ~ 2004  After a long life of service to her family,
her Heavenly Father and her fellowmen, Cleone passed away on November 2, 2004,
at the age of 100. She was a gentle and loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt and friend.  Born August 3, 1904 in Venice, Utah to
Archibald W. and Mary Peterson Buchanan, the youngest of eight children.
Married Rodney T. Bell in the Manti LDS Temple June 5, 1925. They were blessed
with two children, Virla and Don Rodney. Cleone was a skilled seamstress. Her
hands were often busy knitting, crocheting, netting, crewel embroidering,
quilting or hooking rugs. The home she created was beautiful and filled with
love for her family. She loved the Savior and served in many callings in The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints   Visiting Teacher, Primary and
MIA Teacher, many years in the Relief Society as president, Counselor and
Teacher. She was proud of her pioneer heritage and enjoyed her membership in
the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.  Though her body brought much pain in her
final years, her mind and sense of humor remained keen. She lived in Twin
Falls, Idaho from 1932-1995, when she moved to Salt Lake City to make her home
with her daughter and son-in-law, Virla and Harley Busby; grandchildren Janis
Hill (Cary), Amy Dellenbach (David), Linda Bailey (Phil); great-grandchildren
Ryan, Casey and Heather Hill; Richard, Andrew and Michael Dellenbach; Parker,
Jeremy and Kathryn Bailey and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services
will be held on Friday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 10th Ward,
4601 S. 2565 E. where family and friends may call an hour prior to services.
Interment to take place in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Twin Falls, ID.

Benson, Winston Lowell
Winston LowellBenson 1909 ~ 2004  Our loving father, husband, brother,
grandfather and great-grandfather, Winston Lowell Benson, passed away
peacefully, at age 95, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at his home in Salt Lake City,
Utah of causes incident to age. Born October 25, 1909 in Moreland, Idaho to
Hans Andrew and Ida England Benson. He attended schools in Moreland, Ricks
College and the University of Idaho. He married Cloris Butler in the Logan
Temple September 12, 1934. The have five children, 20 grandchildren and 40
(and still counting) great-grandchildren.  Winston had several different
careers during his life. First he was an educator and taught school for 12
years throughout Southeastern Idaho. His second was in the insurance industry
as a representative of Beneficial Life Insurance for 19 years, serving many
clients and friends in Southeastern Idaho. For a short time, he was an
entrepreneur as the owner and operator of Benson Book and Music in Blackfoot.
He followed these with 12 years as Probate Judge for Bingham County and five
years in Boise as the Courts Coordinator for the State of Idaho. Winston was
also active in civic and religious organizations throughout his life. He was a
member of the Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, served on the school board, PTA and
National Council of Juvenile Court Judges. He served in many various church
callings including stake clerk, high council and as Bishop of the Blackfoot
4th Ward of the LDS Church. He was an officiator in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple
and served two missions with his wife for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Lansing, Michigan from 1976-77 and in the Family History
Library in Salt Lake City, Utah from 1991-92. Music was in his blood
throughout his life. He organized and played in many dance bands including his
own Benson Family Band and played for innumerable weddings, church and
community dances, and other activities. He wrote music and published special
songs for his and each of his children's weddings, his parents' and his own
Golden Wedding anniversaries. One of these songs was even performed by
Lawrence Welk, on his TV show. In 1992, Winston and Cloris moved to Salt Lake
City, Utah to be closer to family members. In their later years they spent
their winters in the St. George, Utah area and developed many friendships at
the Templeview RV Park where they helped organize and participated in chorus
and musical activities there. Winston will be missed by all who knew him. He
touched the lives of everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Cloris;
sons, L. Jay (Sharon), Salt Lake City, and Jerry (Calleen), New Milford,
Connecticut; brothers, Stanton (Marion), Salt Lake City; Noel (Pat) Blackfoot,
ID; sister, Laura Taylor, Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his
sons, Bryce and Lowell; daughter, Kaye. Funeral services will be held Friday,
Nov. 5, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the Taylors Grove Ward, 4845 S. Woodhaven,
Taylorsville, UT where a viewing will be held 1-1:45 p.m. prior to service.
Another funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the
Blackfoot 4th and 11th Wards, 520 North Shilling, Blackfoot, Idaho where a
viewing will be held, 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment, Moreland
Cemetery, Moreland, Idaho.

Christensen, Joe L.
Joe L Christensen 1947 ~ 2004  GUNNISON, UTAH - Devoted citizen, father,
husband and brother, Joe L Christensen, age 57, left this life on November 2,
2004, at his home in Gunnison, following a valiant struggle with the realities
of this life.  He was the third child of Peter Loyal and Hazel Nelson
Christensen, born March 25, 1947 in Gunnison, Utah.  Following his graduation
from Gunnison Valley High School, Joe L attended Snow College and majored in
Law Enforcement, graduating from BYU. He served our country in the military
during the Vietnam War.  His employment included working at SUFCO, Hatch-Co,
Lester Hill Furnace Cleaning and in 1974, Joe L began serving the citizens of
Gunnison Valley as a police officer, advancing to the rank of Chief of Police,
a position he held for 27 years. His commitment to service in Gunnison Valley
was shown by his long years of service to the community. Joe L's roots grew
deep into his hometown and kept him here.  Following retirement, he
established JRM Extinguishers Service.  In the early 1970's, Joe L married
Trudy Foster and later divorced, but was privileged to have a beautiful
daughter, Stacy Allison. He also has a granddaughter, Sidney, age 9. Joe L met
Beth Marie Chappell of Lyman, Utah and they were married July 29, 1977 in
Lyman. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple one year later on
August 8, 1978.  They are parents of two fine sons: Joseph Rudi, and his wife,
Kristin Christensen of Hurricane and McKay C. Christensen of St. George. Joe L
enjoyed fishing, the deer hunt, pheasant and goose hunts and loved the beauty
of the mountains with his friends.  Active in the LDS Church, Joe L served in
Gunnison 2nd Ward as a home teacher and was the statistical clerk under three
bishops. Other survivors include his brother, LeGrande L. Christensen of Salt
Lake City; his sister, Lila Lee Christensen of Gunnison; his parents-in-law,
Wendell and Burla Chappell of Lyman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas
Chappell of St. George; Alice and Bruce Christenson of Gunnison; Jeanette and
Dan Taylor of Loa. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services
will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 12 Noon in the Gunnison LDS Stake
Center, 80 West Center Street in Gunnison, where friends may call for viewing
Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30
prior to the services. Burial with full honor guard by the Utah State Highway
Patrol and local area Police Departments, and with military honors accorded by
the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be Saturday afternoon at 4:00
p.m. in the Lyman, Utah Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner
Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.  In lieu of flowers, an

Dalley, Sadie Buttars
Sadie Buttars Dalley Together Again  Sadie Buttars Dalley, 93, has been
reunited with her husband of 67 years who preceded her in death on Dec. 20,
2000. She died on Nov. 4, 2004 in St. George, Utah.  She was born on Sept. 20,
1911 to Maude and David Buttars in Clarkston, Utah. She married her
sweetheart, Abram Fitzgerald Dalley on Sept. 23, 1930 in the Logan Temple. She
lived in Dayton, ID, Roberts, ID and American Fork, UT. For the last few
years, she has resided with her daughters: Myrna in Woods Cross; Margaret in
Delta; Nola in Sandy and Geraldine in St. George, Utah.  She had a strong
testimony of Christ and was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. She served in many capacities including Primary and Relief Society
presidencies, marriage preparation teacher and extraction worker. Her greatest
love was her family. She is survived by children: Geraldine (Darrell) Lewis,
St. George, Utah; Elaine (Paul) Winward, Dayton Idaho; Margaret (Roland,
deceased) Murdock, Delta; Nola (Dan) Allen; Sandy, Utah; Abe (Wanda) Dalley,
Washington, Utah; David (Christie) Dalley, Highland, Utah; Myrna (Keith)
Green, Woods Cross, Utah; Richard (Shawna) Dalley, Rupert, Idaho; John (Penny)
Dalley, Preston, Idaho; and Susan (Mike) Dayley, Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister
Agnes Williams, and brothers, Dorin Buttars and Lyman Buttars. She has 75
grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov 8, 2004 in the American Fork Pacific Drive Ward, 700
West 500 North. A viewing will be held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 7, 2004 at
the Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and from
9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment in the Lehi
City Cemetery.

Beverly HendersonDaly 1921 ~ 2004  Beverly Henderson Daly, age 82, passed away
November 3, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 10, 1921 in
Cannonville, Utah, daughter of James Newton and Cora Evans Henderson. Married
Walter Kirk Daly, June 22, 1941 in Panguitch, Utah; later solemnized in the
Salt Lake Temple. She graduated from Stevens Henagar College and was a
secretary at Skyline High School for 20 years. She was an intelligent woman,
avid reader and close follower of politics. A caring person who enjoyed family
and friends. An excellent cook and hostess of family gatherings. Survived by
son, Roger Kirk (Diane) Daly; daughters, Dianne (Jim) Kelsey, Janet (Mark)
Gustavson; grandchildren, Meg and Matthew Daly, Jill (Kelsey) Martinez,
Jeffrey, Brian, Todd and James Kelsey, Eric, Stephen and Jennifer Gustavson,
Todd and Mandy Elledge; great-grandchildren, Russell Martinez, Madeline
Elledge, Landon Kelsey; sister, Shirley (Jean) DeBouzek. Preceded in death by
parents; husband; sisters, Allie, Helen, Wilma and Mary; brother, Walter.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004, 9:30 a.m. at McDougal

DeLaMare, Jeanne
Jeanne DeLaMare "Foofah" 1922 ~ 2004  Our beloved mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and friend  returned to her Heavenly Father on November 4,
2004. Jeanne was born May 29, 1922 in St. Anthony, Idaho, the first child of
Leland and Melvina Winter. She married John C. (Jack) DeLaMare on June 20,
1941, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Jeanne is
survived by her seven children; Winter (Joyce), Jim (JoAnn), Jody (Craig),
Karren, Wendy (Steve) Ashton, Micki (Norm) Banks, Darci (Paul) Deputy, Mardi
(Steve) Pearson and her three sisters, Gae Duersch, Jo Petersen, LeeAnne
Walker; 33 grandchildren and 48 great-grand-children.  Jeanne was a talented
artist. Her passions included painting, porcelains and gardening, talents that
she lovingly shared with all. Her other grand passion was her lifelong
friendship with her buddies in "Club". Funeral services will be held Saturday,
November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Park 6th Ward, 1155 N. 1200 W., Salt
Lake City, Utah. Interment will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Special
thanks to the friends at Park Lane and our many thanks to the extraordinary
and very caring staff of Utah Dialysis.

Jean Fabrizio1928 ~2004  UINTAH BASIN- Jean Gines Fabrizio, age 76, of Vernal,
passed away  November 3, 2004. She was born July 12, 1928 in Kamas to Moral
Shake and Theo Mitchell Gines. She married Arthur Fabrizio June 1, 1945. She
is survived by her husband, six children, 24 grandchildren, 40 grand-children
and two brothers. Funeral Saturday, 12 Noon, at the Duchesne LDS 1st-3rd Ward

Mary Luella Carter Feller 1930 ~ 2004  ST. GEORGE, UTAH - Mary Luella Carter
Feller, 74, passed away Monday, November 1, 2004 at her home in St. George,
Utah. She passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer. 
She was born August 9, 1930 in St. George, Utah, a daughter of William and
Golda Bowler Carter. She married George R. Feller on April 8, 1950, in the St.
George Temple. They are the parents of five children. She is survived by her:
husband, George; children, Evelyn (Steve) Despain, Wilford (Debbie), Allen
(Sheri), David (Jolyn), Russell (Janell); 24 grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004
at 2:00 p.m. at the St. George Stake Center, 500 N. Bluff St., St. George, UT
Visitations will be held Friday, November 5, 2004 from 6-8 p.m., and again
Saturday from 12:30-1:30 p.m., prior to services, both at the Stake Center.

Howard, Leila Carter
Leila Carter Howard Loving Wife, Mother & Grandma  Our beloved wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Nov. 1, 2004 of natural
causes. She was 82 years old. Leila was born March 27, 1922 to Conard E.
Carter and Manilla White Carter in Porterville, Utah. Survived by husband,
Allen H. Howard of Midvale; children, Lorraine B. (Don-deceased) Turner,
Milton, Utah; Glen (Linda) Howard, Quartz Hill, CA; Neal (Debby) Howard, West
Valley City, Utah; Ruthann (Donald) Breitling, Murray, Utah; and Paul Howard,
St. Peters, Missouri; sisters, Phyllis (Grant) Carter, Porterville, Utah;
MIldred (Marr) Fawcett, Layton, Utah; brother, Ivan (Ludene) Carter, Morgan,
Utah. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Thelma Lovejoy. Leila and
Allen H. Howard were married on Nov. 29, 1952 in Elko, Nevada. They were
sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Dec. 1, 1954.
Leila was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, serving as a District Relief
Society Supervisor, Visiting Teacher, and a Cub Scout Leader. Mother was also
a member of DUP. Leila and Allen served an LDS Family History Mission from
January 1990 to July 1991. During her life she also enjoyed music, singing and
traveling. The family would like to extend thanks to family friend, Billy
Fiorelli. Also a special heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Residence of
CareSource (a hospice) for the compassionate care they provided Leila in her
final days. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at 11 a.m.
at the Union Park 1st Ward Chapel at 7699 So. Chad St. Please enter off of

Imbler, Everett Rollin
Everett Rollin Imbler 7/16/25~10/31/04  Everett Rollin Imbler, 79, beloved
husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October
31, 2004 due to the effects of Alzheimer's. Ev was born on July 16, 1925 in
Covina, California to Arthur and Lillian Carper Imbler. In 1943--before
graduating from high school-he was drafted into the United States Army Air
Corps, where he served in B-17 and B-29 squadrons until he was honorably
discharged on March 16, 1946. He then returned to Van Nuys High School where
he received his diploma. Everett married his eternal sweetheart, Lois Taylor,
on August 25, 1948 in Canoga Park, CA. They moved to Duarte, CA where they
raised their six children.  After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, Everett and Lois were sealed for time and all eternity in
the Los Angeles Temple April 19, 1969. Everett worked for GTE in
communications and data systems for 33 years, and helped install communication
systems at the "Western White House" during the Reagan administration. He
learned to love flying during World War II, and was later able to enjoy this
skill as a private pilot, commuting to and from work and avoiding the busy
California freeways. Ev and Lois retired to the Seattle area where he did
consulting work. In 1991, they moved to Omak, WA, then to Woodruff, UT in 1997
and finally to Sandy, UT in October 2000. Everett was a faithful member of the
LDS church, and served as a Seventy and a High Priest. He loved fishing,
hunting, and camping with his family-especially in the Sierras. He was an avid
reader and life-long learner. There were very few subjects in which he was not
well-versed.  He is survived by his Beloved Wife, Lois Iona Taylor, Sandy;
Brother, William Arthur Imbler (Betty), Ventura, CA; Children David Imbler
(Chris), Lynnwood, WA; Donald Imbler (Dorothy), Upland, CA; Cheryl Lynn;
Michael Imbler (Kathleen), Sandy; Richard Imbler (Susan), Spokane, WA; Anita
Pittman (Kim), Delta; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  The
family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care Everett
received from the staff at the Stratford Alzheimer's Wing at The Wentworth in
Draper, and from Dr. Mark A. Rada. Funeral services will be held Saturday,
Nov. 6th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy,
Utah, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services

Johnson, KayLynn Davis "Katie"
KayLynn "Katie" Davis Johnson "I'm Fine"  KayLynn our beloved wife, mommy,
daughter, sister and friend, passed away at home surrounded by her family on
Nov 2, 2004 after fighting her courageous battle with cancer. Her strength and
strong will to fight to the end has inspired us all. She will forever be in
our hearts. KayLynn was born on April 30, 1972 to Lynn and Karen Burr Davis in
Salt Lake City, Utah. She married John Johnson on November 7, 1992 in Salt
Lake City, Utah KayLynn loved boating, hunting and fishing with her family.
She also enjoyed scrap booking with friends. Most of all she valued the time
she shared with her precious son "Cody" the pride and joy of her life. She
graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1990. She went on to receive a
degree in Medical Terminology from Salt Lake Community College. She was
employed by  Educators Mutual, and we thank them for their kindness and
support.  KayLynn is survived by her loving husband John, son Cody, her
parents, brothers Kurt (Lori), Carl (Denise) Chris (Stacey), father-in-law
Duane (Connie) mother-in-law Vicki, two brothers-in-law Jeff and Bobby, two
sisters-in-law Julie (Danny) Jenny (Andrew) 23 nieces and nephews that she
greatly adored, and her dog Dixie.  We would like to thank Barbara and Gwyneth
from Hospice and the wonderful people at Utah Cancer Specialists also a
special thanks to Val Lund. A viewing will be held on Friday, Nov 5, 2004 at
Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah from 6-8

Kohagen, Franklin Louis
Franklin LouisKohagen "Dear Old Dad" 11/06/32 ~ 11/01/04  Our beloved husband,
father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Franklin Louis Kohagen, age 71,
passed away November 1, 2004.Born on November 6, 1932 in Waverly, Iowa to
Edwin Ernest Kohagen and Clara O. Borchers Kohagen. He married Dorothy Kuske
on October 22, 1954. They were later divorced. He married Louise Bridenbaugh
on July 26, 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of Hope Lutheran
Church. After eight years of service in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve, he had
a long career as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation
Administration. For several years, he was involved in real estate and owned
Century21 Frank Kohagen Realty. He most recently was a manager for several
years with Lowe's Home  Improvement Stores. His survivors are his wife Louise
Kohagen, son Mark (Joni) Kohagen, son Chuck (Judy) Kohagen, daughter Paula

Noshirvan, Amir Homayoon
Amir Homayoon Noshirvan Always in Our Hearts and Memories  Amir Homayoon,
beloved father, son, and brother, passed away November 3, 2004, in Tampa,
Florida, with loved ones at his side. Homayoon was born March 21, 1950, in
Teheran, Iran, to Amir Hooshang and Fakhrataj Mesdaghi Noshiravan. He came to
the United States to pursue an education, receiving his bachelor's degree from
the University of South Florida; this was the same location where he was given
loving treatment before his passing. He received his master's in International
Business at Thunderbird Graduate School in Arizona. Before moving to Florida
with his family, Homayoon was vice-president of Beehive International, in Salt
Lake City, Utah. Since moving to Crystal River, Florida, he had started a new
business, Can-Save RX, which became his life's passion. Homayoon had a special
love of sports, music and nature. He competed in numerous volleyball and
basketball tournaments. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends. But most of all, he took special pride in the many accomplishments of
his children. Homayoon is survived by his sons, Alex Kasra and Sammy Ramin;
daughter, Sheeva Marie; life partner, Rose Clements and her daughter Kimberly;
parents Amir Hooshang and Fakhrataj; sisters, Nuschin (Haschem) Towliati and
Niloofar (Mohammed Hassan) Bakhti; brother, Amir Farhang (Joyce) Noshiravan;
and ex-wife Susan Redmond, mother of his children. Services will be held on
Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Larkin Funeral Home, 260 E. South
Temple, Salt Lake City, where friends and family may call one hour prior to
services. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. He will be
dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Pearson, Robert Earl
Robert Earl Pearson "AKA  BOB"  Robert Earl Pearson was born November 3, 1924
to Blanche Charlotte Peck Pearson (Terry) and Blaine  Orlandrew Pearson.He
died November 2, 2004 due to age and many health problems. He grew up in Salt
Lake and American Fork. Graduated from American Fork High School in 1943.
Served during World War II in the Sea Bees, worked at Safeway 1946-1955, and
at the Post Office 1955-2000. Married Emma LaVon Pearson in 1955. She preceded
him in death in 2003. They had one daughter, Marlene. Survived by daughter,
Marlene, brother, Don (Jeanne) Pearson, Salt Lake, sisters, Carol Anderson and
Faye (Steve) Bleak both West Valley. Preceded in death by brother, Howard
Pearson, sisters, Linda Chaston, Alice Flick and Carolyn Addison. Graveside
services will be held Sat., November 6, 2004 at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075
East 4580 South at 12:30 p.m. Family and Friends may visit from 10:45-11:45

Peterson, LaFay Allred
LaFay AllredPeterson "Fay"  LaFay (Fay) Allred Peterson, age 90, passed away
from this mortal life on November 1, 2004. She was born March 19, 1914 in
Naples, Utah to Robert Burton and Sylvia Roberts Allred. She attended Uintah
County schools, graduating from Alterra High School. She married Floyd R.
Peterson of Ogden on October 4, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived
in Roy, Duchesne, Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah. Floyd died in March 1973. Since
then, Fay has lived in Farmington and Fruit Heights. Fay was an active member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held numerous
positions of leadership and responsibility. She served as 2nd Ward MIA
President, counselor in the Roosevelt Stake Primary presidency, ward Relief
Society president (twice), and Roosevelt Stake Relief Society president. She
also served a four-year stake mission and 13 years as a Temple Ordinance
Worker in the Ogden and Bountiful Temples. She was a member of the Aurelia
Rodgers D.U.P. Camp and the Farmington Jr. Literary Club. Fay and her husband
Floyd were owners of the F.R. Peterson Distributing Company for 27 years. She
also served on the first Duchesne County Zoning Commission. She loved being a
homemaker and was an avid gardener and cook. Fay is survived by her children,
Dee (Nancy) Peterson of Fruit Heights; Marie of Branson, MO; and Linda
(Albert) Bird of University Place, WA. Her family includes 11 grandchildren
(two preceded her in death) and 12 great-grandchildren. Fay had limitless
faith in God and spent her life in service to others. She will be dearly
missed and lovingly remembered by her many friends and family. A memorial
services will be held Sat., November 5, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Davis Creek
Chapel, 825 S. 50 E., Farmington, Utah (approach from Glovers Lane). Friends
may call between 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Graveside services and
burial will be held Monday, November 8, at 12:00 noon at the Vernal Memorial

Richards Jr., Dr. Oliver L.
Dr. Oliver L. Richards, Jr. 1928 ~ 2004  OGDEN   Dr. Oliver L. Richards, Jr.,
was called home to his Heavenly  Father on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the
age of 76.He was born in Salt Lake City on February 19, 1928 to Oliver L. Sr.
and Marie Powell Busch Richards. He graduated from South High School in Salt
Lake City and went on to the University of Utah obtaining a medical degree in
ophthalmology. His internship was at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Following his internship he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a
Battalion Surgeon and later a Regimental Surgeon in Korea. He completed
residency training at Harper Hospital which included a course at Kresge Eye
Institute. Oliver was married to Maureen Hanson for 16 years and had three
children. He later married Genae Tingey Stuart and adopted her three children
and had a daughter, Emilie. Genae died in 1982. Dr. Richards married Jeannette
Rice Thompson and claimed her three children as his own. He was a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an Elder's
Quorum President as well as many other positions. Dr. Richards was a member of
the Weber County Medical Society, Utah State Medical Society and the American
Medical Society. He was a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
During 32 years of medical practice, he wrote many papers for the medical
journals and was the first ophthalmologist in Ogden to transplant a cornea.
Dr. Richards was a member of both McKay-Dee and St. Benedict's Hospital
medical staffs. He retired in 1994 due to a stroke which partially paralyzed
him. Dr. Richards was a volunteer for the special needs children and donated
his expertise and time to check their eyes. He was a licensed instrument pilot
and owned and flew his own plane. Dr. Richards enjoyed extensive world travel
as well as motorhome trips, camping, skiing, family gatherings and flying.
Surviving are his wife, Jeannette, seven children, Emilie Driver, Bonnie
Rasmussen, Chad Richards, Rhys Richards, Kevin Richards, Connie Eck, and Steve
Thompson; and 24 grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister and two
brothers, Alice Pearlman, LaMar and David. He was preceded in death by his
first wife Maureen, daughter Meredith, son Scott, his second wife, Genae and
daughter Stephanie, who died at age seven in a playground accident. Funeral
services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408
Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 9:30 to
10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500
Washington Blvd. All who knew or came in contact with Oliver felt of his
loving and nurturing nature. His generosity knew no limits and for this he was

Risner, William Stanley
William Stanley Risner Pa's Obituary  William Stanley Risner passed away on
November 3, 2004, at the Pine View Transitional Rehab Center in South Ogden,
Utah, at the age of 80.  Pa (William Stanley) was born in Bennington,
Oklahoma, on February 8, 1924, to George and Clesbulina Hart Risner. He
attended school in Bowlegs, Oklahoma, and was proud of his heritage as a
Native American. He was in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He
met Reve' Frisby Hilton in Heber City, Utah, while he was working on a
cross-country pipeline. They were married in Bowlegs, Oklahoma, on December
13, 1948, and have made their home in Vernal, Utah, for the last 50 years. For
the past 20 years, they have spent their winter months in Beaver Dam, Arizona,
and their summers on their farm. He was a heavy-equipment operator and owner
of Willie's Dirt Service, which is now owned and operated by his son, Jack.
The most important things to him were his family, his wife, Reve', his
children, Renita, Janis, Peggy, Jack, and Geni, and his grandchildren and
great-grand- children.  He loved his farm, his mules, his donkey "Harley" and
his horses. He always planted a big garden to share with his family. He was
preceded in death by a son, William George Risner, his parents, one brother,
Donald Risner, a sister, Lucy Mae La Bouve, and a son-in-law, T.D. (Boone)
Latham. He is survived by his wife, Reve', his children, Renita (Chuck)
Revill, Lehi; Janis Latham, So. Weber; Peggy (Dick) Bluff, Farmington; Jack
Risner, Baggs, Wyo.; Geni (Bart) Hyde, Layton; 17 grandchildren, 21
great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Maxi George Risner, Mesa, Arizona,
Amelita Jenkins, Clovis, New Mexico, and Gloria Moore, Saratoga, California. A
viewing will be held on Saturday, November 6th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at
Olpin-Hoopes Mortuary in Heber City, Utah. The funeral will be held in Vernal,
on Monday, November 8th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ashley Creek Chapel, 4080 So.
2500 E. with a viewing from 11:00 to 12:45 p.m. preceding the funeral. Burial
will be in the Vernal City Cemetery with Military Honors.

Smith, Alexa K.
Alexa K. Smith   Ali  Alexa K. Smith (Ali) was born January 22, 1996 and died
October 29, 2004 of Hurlers, a type of MPS.  Ali taught us to find joy through
adversity and to live in the present, to treasure each hour of every day. 
Living with her has been an education, teaching us to focus on the important
things, to treasure relationships and to be thankful for what we have. Our
lives have been enriched by her presence.  She will be deeply missed by her
mom and dad, Enoch L. and Lynda, and her sister Samantha. Her grandparents,
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will also miss her dearly.  We appreciate
the many health professionals who assisted us in her care. They added to ours
and Ali's quality of life. We especially want to thank Dr. Paul Young for his
kindness, compassion and exceptional care.  Donations in Ali's memory may be
made to Primary Children's Medical Center. A private service has been held to
celebrate Ali's life.

Sparrow, Dorothy Ione Anderson
Dorothy Ione Anderson Sparrow 1915 ~ 2004  LAYTON   Dorothy Anderson Sparrow,
89 passed away Nov. 2, 2004. She was living at the Beehive Home in Layton at
the time of her death. Dorothy was born January 11, 1915, in Richmond, Utah to
Christine Anderson and Frans Oscar Anderson. She was the second of five
children. During her childhood she lived in several cities in the
intermountain states where her father worked as a brick mason on schools and
factories. They made their permanent home in Richmond, Utah. She married her
lifelong companion, James Duane Sparrow, on April 15, 1936, in the Logan LDS
Temple. They were the parents of five children, Bruce D. (Linda) Sparrow, D.
Claire (Linda) Sparrow, Janet Walker, Valene (Gary) Fackrell, and Boyd L.
(Kristina) Sparrow. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to take her
daughters to look at fancy clothes at department stores then go home and
create her own pattern and sew them. She was also talented in doing many types
of needlework and very creative with crafts. She loved beautiful flowers,
especially the roses in her garden. She was an active member of the LDS church
all of her life and held many callings in Relief Society and other
organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother Dean, and
one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her five children; Brother, Don;
Sisters, Margaret Read and Bonnie Moon; 15 grandchildren, 36
great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, and five great-great
grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Harpe at Tanner
Clinic, the staff at Beehive Home, Specialty Nursing, and Odyssey Hospice for
their care and kindness they gave to Mother in her last days. Funeral services
will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary,
250 North Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday, November
5, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.at Myers
Mortuary. Interment in Washington Heights Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a

Waldvogel, Oscar J.
Oscar J. Waldvogel 1909 ~ 2004  Born Sept. 14, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Passed away October 31, 2004. Veteran of Word War II. Moved to Chicago,
Illinois in his early twenties and lived in Westchester, Illinois until
October 2001. Survived by brother Otto Waldvogel, Leslie, Arkansas, and
sister, Julia Drury, Murray, Utah. Preceded in death by his wife, Edna Olson
Waldvogel, brothers, Carl and Walter Waldvogel and sister, Clara Astin. The
family would like to thank his sister Julia for her loving care of Oscar over
the last five years of his life.  Burial and services will be held in
Westchester, Illinois.

Ward M.D., John R.
John R. Ward, MD 1923 ~ 2004  John Robert Ward, MD, age 80, passed away on
November 1, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah of natural causes.  He was born on
November 23, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of John Isaac and Clara Elzi
Ward. He married Norma Harris on November 5, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and
the time of his death, they were preparing to observe their 56th wedding
anniversary. A life well lived by a man well loved. He graduated from the
University of Utah with a B.S. degree in 1944, and received his M.D. degree
from the University of Utah in 1946 He was a resident in Internal Medicine at
Salt Lake County General Hospital, and was later a Fellow in Rheumatology at
Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He joined the
faculty of the University of Utah College of Medicine in 1954, and remained on
the faculty for 38 years retiring in 1992, thereafter awarded the rank of
Professor Emeritus. He was the first Chief of the Rheumatology Division in the
Department of Internal Medicine, serving from 1957 to 1988. In 1967, he
obtained a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of California,
Berkley. He was the Chairman of the Department of Preventive Medicine from
1966-1970. During his distinguished scientific career, he published more than
220 articles describing the many aspects of rheumatic diseases. He received
numerous awards for his service, and was recognized internationally for his
contributions. He was a Master of the American College of Rheumatology and
received their Distinguished Rheumatologist Award in 1994. He was widely
recognized as an outstanding clinician, diagnostician, teacher, and scientist,
and taught generations of medical students through his outstanding example.
John was known for the depth of his humanity, integrity and charity. Typical
of his humble, kind mentoring, is this quote, "I enjoy teaching. We, as
teachers, have to show the students we are interested in them as people and
not just as students. It's the same thing we teach them in dealing with
patients as people and not merely as patients." He exemplified the best of
humankind in every regard. He also served his country in the Army during the
Korean conflict, and retired from the Utah Air National Guard as a Colonel,
serving as the Commander of the 151st USAF clinic for many years. He is
survived by his wife, Norma, and four children, John Harris (Constance),
Pamela Lyn Proctor (Lane), Robert Scott (Diane), and James Alan (Laura). He is
survived by brothers William (Barbara) and Robert (Ivy Jean) and sister
Patricia (Iven) Alsop. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10
great-grand children.  He was preceded in death by sisters Dorothea Ward, Joan
Haynes, and Marguerite Howard. It has been an honor to learn from and be
tutored by him. His warmth, wisdom, integrity and support were a constant
source of strength and direction. Although we will miss his presence, his
influence will continue to inspire us. Funeral Services will be held on Nov.
5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 E. 4000 S. There will be a
viewing on the evening of Nov. 4, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
A viewing will also be held one hour before the service on Friday. Interment:
Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John
R. Ward, MD fund at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center at 175 North

Zollinger, Willard Eugene
 Willard Eugene Zollinger 1925 ~ 2004  Willard Eugene Zollinger, loving
husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather peacefully passed
away Nov. 3, 2004 at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.  Born March 20, 1925 in
Salt Lake City, Utah to Willard D. and Lillie B. Anderson Zollinger. He
attended East High School in Salt Lake City. Married Reba L. Keele May 29,
1946, sealed for time and eternity August 16, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. A
veteran of World War II, Willard retired from the Air Force in 1966 after 22
years of service, including New Zealand, New Caledonia, Philippines, France
and Hawaii. A member of the Bountiful 13th Ward, he served in many positions,
most recently as Ward Clerk for 14 years. Father of nine children: Jenna V.
(Dan) Grow; Richard (Diana), CA; Willard M. (Victoria); Nalani F. (James)
Moore, OR; Rebecca (Jeff ) Mehaffey, WA; Wyatt E. (Chari), WA; Cheryl R.
(Clifford) Carver; Max K. (Annette) of Hayden, ID; and Charles M. (Jill),
grandfather of 39 and great-grandfather of 35. Brother of J. LaMar (Patricia),
MN; M. David (Barbara) of NSL, Lorna F. (Don) Suggs, UT and sister-in-law
Elizabeth Zollinger, UT.  Preceded in death by his parents, sister Luana,
brother Max A. and great-granddaughters Hannah Johnson and Micah Zollinger.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the excellent care
provided by the staff of the VA Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. 
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at the Bountiful 13th
