                           JOHNO FELTON MAYO SR.

ELDORADO Johno Felton Mayo Sr., was born on Oct. 6, 1918, in McCulloch
County, Texas. He died in a local nursing home on March 1, 2002. A
graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on March 4, in the Eldorado
Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at the First
   Presbyterian Church of Eldorado.

Johno grew up in Voca, Texas, and graduated from Voca High School. He
moved to Eldorado to operate a cotton gin in 1935. There he met Thelia
Luedecke and they were married Aug. 16, 1941. He served his country
during World War II in the medical corps attached to the Army Air
Corps at Concho Field in San Angelo. Following the war, he worked for
Cactus Oil Company. In 1950, he moved his family to Eldorado to the
Luedecke farm and was a stock farmer. The timing could have been
better because one of the worst droughts in history hit at the same
time and the next ten years were very difficult for those in
agriculture. In addition to stock farming, he also was a cotton buyer
and continued to be both until his retirement. He was a member of the
   First Presbyterian Church of Eldorado.

Johno made it his practice to do countless acts of kindness for
everyone in his life; he was patience and compassion personified. He
had a wonderful sense of humor, a very generous nature and a great joy
of life. In his opinion, the two of the most serious character flaws
someone could possess were grouchiness and stinginess. There was
laughter and fun wherever he was. His family was the greatest
benefactors of his unqualified love. Johno loved fishing and
undoubtedly barbecued the best chicken in the world. He touched many
lives and each was better for knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Myrl Schooley,
Maime Ruth Roberts and Lois Herrington.

   He  is  survived  by  his  wife  and  best friend of 60 years, Thelia;
daughter, Sammye Ruppeck, her daughter, Jessica; son, Johnny Mayo Jr.
and wife, Carolyn, their son, Michael; sister, Olive Hays; special
friends, Dean, Vickie and Corie Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ross Whitten, Steve Williams, Ernie Higdon, Tommy
Hunley, Walter Powell, Kirk Jones and David Lloyd.

The family would like to express its appreciation to Llolanda Franseca
and the wonderful staff of Schleicher County Medical Center for the
   care given Johno.

The family requests that memorials be made to Concho Valley Home for

Johnnie Baca and lived in San Angelo for the past 10 years.

He is survived by his mother and father; his brothers, Johnnie Baca
II, age 16, of Owingsville, Ky., and Logan Tanner Sturgeon, age 7, of
San Angelo; his maternal grandparents, Donna and Jim Osborne of
Taylor, Ariz.; his paternal grandparents, Ernestina Garcia of
Owingsville, Ky., and Ralph Baca of Snowflake, Ariz.; and two
great-grandmothers, Melvina Rogers of Taylor, Ariz., and Magdalena
   Garcia of Snowflake, Ariz.

Cade attended Bonham Elementary and was an eighth grader at Lee Junior
High where he enjoyed orchestra. He also loved camping and activities
as a Boy Scout with Troop 313.

A rosary was held Sunday evening, March 3, at 7 p.m. at Johnsons
Funeral Home. A viewing will be held March 4, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in

   He  is  survived  by  his  wife  and  best friend of 60 years, Thelia;
daughter, Sammye Ruppeck, her daughter, Jessica; son, Johnny Mayo Jr.
and wife, Carolyn, their son, Michael; sister, Olive Hays; special
friends, Dean, Vickie and Corie Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made to Concho Valley Home for
Girls/Childrens Emergency Shelter, P.O. Box 3772, San Angelo, TX
   76902. Kerbow Funeral Home

   E. Fine July 1, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a homemaker and
a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Charlotte enjoyed being a
