                                 JIM NOLDER

Jim Nolder was the envy of many outdoorsmen. He was able to retire at
an early age and spend his time doing what he loved: hunting and
   fishing.

Jim, son of James and Luella Nolder, was born Oct. 27, 1935. He was
   raised in San Angelo.

At the encouragement of his parents, he discovered a love for the
outdoors at an early age. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 1 where
he further developed his outdoor skills under the guidance of
   Scoutmaster J.T. Henderson.

In 1956, Jim joined the Navy and proudly served his country while
   stationed in Hawaii.

On Aug. 22, 1959, Jim married Janet Mazur and began a relationship
that would last a lifetime. Jim and Janet raised a family together and
as they grew older, so did their love for each other. Jim was a
wonderful husband, father, teacher, provider and role model. Janet was
always a loving wife, mother, and Jims favorite hunting and fishing
   partner.

Upon retirement from Merchants Motor Lines in 1991, Jim and Janet
moved to Lake Amistad. There he was able to realize his dream of
operating his own fishing guide service and to work as a patrolman on
a deer lease during hunting season. He was so happy to be getting paid
   to do what he loved.

Jim was diagnosed with cancer in February 2000. He passed away Friday,
   March 16, 2001.

Jim will be dearly missed by Janet, his wife of 41 years; his sons,
Roger and Dennis; his daughters-in-law, Debbie and Dena; his
grandchildren, Brian and Cassi; his sister and brotherin-law, Bettye
and Wayne Gish; and his many friends and extended family. He will not,
however, be missed by the catfish of Lake Amistad.

The family requests donations be made to a charity of the donors
   choice.
