   Rock Me To Sleep Mother
   Rock Me to Sleep

Backward, turn backward oh time in your flight

Make me a child again, just for tonight!

Mother come back from thy echoless shore,

Take me again, just as of yore,

Kiss from my forehead the furrows of care,

Smooth the few silver threads out of my hair,

Over my slumber your loving watch keep -

Rock me to sleep, Mother, rock me to sleep.

Backwards flow backwards oh tide of the years

I am so weary of toil and tears,

Toil without recompense, tears all in vain,

Take them and give me my childhood again!

I have grown weary of dust and decay

Weary of flinging my soul wealth away

Weary of sewing for others to reap

Rock me to sleep, Mother, rock me to sleep

Over my heart, in the days that have flown,

No love like Mother - love ever has shone

Faithful, unselfish, and patient, like you

None like a Mother can charm away pain,

From the sick soul and the world weary brain.

Slumbers' soft calm over my heavy lids creep -

Rock me to sleep, Mother, rock me to sleep.

Come let your brown hair just lighted with gold

Fall over my shoulders, just as of old

Let it drop over my forehead tonight,

   Shading my faint eyes away from the light;

For with its sunny edged shadows once more

Happy will throng the sweet visions of yore

Lovingly, softly, its bright billows sweep -

Rock me to sleep, Mother, rock me to sleep.

Clasped to your breast in a loving embrace

With your light lashes just sweeping my face

Never hereafter to wake or to weep -

Rock me to sleep, Mother, rock me to sleep.

                            CLAYTON `JACK' MAZUK

Born May 4, 1954, in San Angelo to Dorothy and Nick Mazuk, Jack
departed this life July 2, 2000. Although he had lived in Austin for
approximately 17 years, his hometown was San Angelo. After graduating
from Central High School with honors, Jack went on to graduate from
   Texas A&M University in 1976.

Jack started his real estate appraisal career in 1976 in Houston.
After working in Houston for a few years, he moved to Austin. He
obtained his MAI designation in November 1984 and had served on
various local chapter committees. In 1998, Jack served as president of
the Austin Chapter of Appraisal Institute and was serving on the
Appraisal Review Board for Travis County at the time of his death.

He was president-owner of Mazuk Valuation and Consulting Inc., a full
service real estate firm that was started in June 1990. Prior to
forming his own company he was office manager for Texas Real Estate
Counselors that included Scott McNabb and Edwin Terry. His real estate
career began in Houston with Edward B. Schulz and Company and the
   Robert B. Jones Company.

His other interests included hunting and ranching. When he was
outdoors, he ``was in his element.'' At the time of his death, Jack
was at work on the ranch doing what he enjoyed most, hauling hay and
feeding the cattle. There could not be a more fitting closure to a man
who enjoyed the outdoors and life.

His attendance at the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas for the last
several years was one of his annual highlights. The ``rodeo group''
always had a great time on the yearly pilgrimage.

Those who knew Jack knew what it was like to have a friend. He was a
man of unyielding integrity, a man whose word truly was his bond. A
man trustworthy in any sense of the word.

Jack was a tireless achiever with deep roots in service to others,
whether it be professionally or personally. He accomplished much, yet
always put helping others out as a higher priority than his own
accomplishments or needs. He was a leader and he was a servant. He was
a friend and will be missed.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Mazuk of San Angelo; his brother
and sister-in-law Kim and Royette Mazuk of Renton, Wash.; his sister,
   Melody  Mazuk  of Philadelphia; two nephews, Michael and John Clayton;
one niece, Bianca; along with a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at the
First Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Johnson's
   Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of choice or
the the Seton Heart Endowment Fund, 1201 W. 38th St., Austin, TX
   78705.

A gathering of friends will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday,
July 8, at Glenn and Britta Herzog's, 8011 Boyce Lane between Austin
and Manor. Feel free to bring your memories and stories for the person
we will miss. Please bring a lawn chair.
