                        JAMES ANDERSON HARRIS

On July 3, 1923, the angels delivered James Anderson Harris into the arms of
Kathryn Adams Harris and Anderson Harris in Hill County. In 1942, he met a
wonderful lady, Gloria Louise Campbell. Over the next two and a half years,
their friendship blossomed into love, and they became one on Dec. 3, 1944, in
Waco. On Sept. 8, 1948, God sent them a daughter, Cynthia Anne Harris. On April
7, 1953, they were given a son, Anderson Campbell Harris. They raised their
family with love and faith in God. James was baptized into Christ's body in
1951, in Lakeview, Texas, by Neil Lightfoot. James was employed by Lone Star
Gas Co., and in 1959 they were transferred to Palestine. They continued to
teach their children in the way of the Lord. In 1966 they were transferred to
San Angelo, where they continued to serve the Lord at Johnson Street Church of
Christ. GiGi and DeeDee, as they are known by those who love them, are
grandparents of three beautiful adults and their spouses, Phillip Benefield and
his wife, Linda, of Florida, Janet Keim and Bobby Hargus of Waco and Angela and
Gary Kuzins of Colorado; and great-grandparents of three precious little boys,
Chris, 9, Joseph, 4, and Zachary, 1«, of Waco. On Nov. 25, 1998, with his
family at his side, the angels came to James and invited him to join the saints
at the throne of God and leave his suffering and pain behind. With a prayer in
his heart and reluctance to leave his family behind, he soared with the angels
to wait with God for his loving wife and family to join him in Heaven. His
