Connie Reyes Garza

Connie Reyes Garza, 70, of Canyon died Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Holley Funeral Home Chapel. Services
will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Ann's Catholic Church with Deacon Gabrial
Rivas officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Mrs. Garza was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Gonzales to Natividad and Francisca
Samaniego Reyes. She worked for Canyon Independent School District.

Survivors include a son, Alberto "Bobby" and wife Martha Varela of Canyon; a
sister, Bessie Martinez of Tulia; two brothers, Jessie Reyes of Dimmitt and
Johnny Reyes of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Willard "Bill" Brasfield

Willard "Bill" Brasfield, 73, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 15, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel,
4180 Canyon Drive, with the Rev. Kenneth Fowler, pastor of Amarillo Christian
Fellowship Church, officiating.

Willard was born Feb. 2, 1934, in St. Louis, and was raised there. He moved to
Amarillo in 1978 to work for Bell Helicopter until his retirement. He also
worked for The Pit Stop, with his special friend, Mark Perdue, and worked for
Jiffy Lube for 17 years. Willard married Betty Akes on Oct. 6, 1995, in
Amarillo.

One thing everyone knew about him was that he was an avid John Wayne fan. He
also enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing horseshoes and cards. He never met a
stranger, and would help anyone that was in need. Willard will be greatly
missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edmond Belter; a daughter, Aretta
Westerholt; a brother, Sam Brasfield; a sister, Frances Brasfield; two
grandsons, Jeffrey and Arthur Westerholt; and a great-granddaughter, Jaden
Menza.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Willard Brasfield Jr. of St. Louis,
Larry Belter of Alamogordo, N.M., and Aaron Belter of Frankston; four
daughters, Gail Brasfield and Joyce Brasfield, both of St. Louis, Theresa
Kinser of Mesa, Ariz., and Janie Cameron of Amarillo; a brother, Arthur
Brasfield of Euless; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and special
friends, Lance and Teresa Caple of Amarillo.

Tom Ware

Tom Ware, 64, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 15, 2007.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral
Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. G.A. Roach, chaplain,
officiating.

Tom was born June 16, 1942, to Arlie and Estelle Ware in Wellington. He
graduated from Amarillo High School. Tom had worked for Western Electric and
as a technician for Livermore Labs before retiring.

Survivors include a daughter, Kellie Beard of Amarillo; his mother, Estelle
Kupka of California; two sisters, Toni Walker of California and Sandy Ware of
Arizona; a brother, Steve Ware of California; and three grandchildren, Ashton,
Dalton and Blake.

James Rolland Spargur Jr.

James Rolland Spargur Jr., 57, of Amarillo died Monday, April 16, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial
Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Sherman Eastland, chaplain of
Northwest Texas Hospital, officiating.

Mr. Spargur was born Nov. 15, 1949, in Basin, Wyo., to James and Grace
Spargur. He was employed for 24 years with J. Lee Milligan Inc. He was a
loving father, husband and grandfather. Mr. Spargur served in the U.S. Navy.
He will be dearly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Spargur; a son, James Rolland Spargur III
of Hackberry, La.; a daughter, Karee Denise Spargur of Paris, Texas; two
sisters, Lora Rosenbaum of Amarillo and Brenda Spargur of Basin; and 17
grandchildren.

Betty Margaret Tigart

Betty Margaret Tigart, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Services to honor her life will be at 4 p.m. today in Comanche Trail Church of
Christ with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial
will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel,
Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.

Mrs. Tigart was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Norman, Okla., one of eight children
delivered to Roy and Laura Meyer. Betty married Thurman Tigart on Jan. 23,
1949, in Norman.

A loving wife and mother throughout her life, she supported her husband while
he was a Church of Christ elder and raised two Christian children.

Though in sadness, we are relieved that she is finally able to be with her
husband in heaven.

Special thanks are given to the staff and Bivins Nursing Home who helped make
the final years of her life more comfortable.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Al Meyer
of Norman and Ray Meyer of Lexington, Okla.; and a sister, Mildred Meyer of
Amarillo.

Survivors include a son, Mike Tigart and wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Pat Neusch
and husband Edwin; four grandchildren, Jason Tigart and wife Terry and Ryan
Neusch and wife Allison, all of Amarillo, Damon Tigart and wife Kristin of
Baltimore, Md., and Lisa Noble and husband Dave of Delta Junction, Alaska; two

Ricky A. Downs

Ricky A. Downs, 44, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church in Borger
with the Rev. Les Sharp, pastor of Faith Covenant Church in Borger,
officiating. Private family burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Local
arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., in Amarillo.
Borger arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ricky was born Jan. 8, 1963, in Borger. He graduated from Borger High School
and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, Ricky graduated
from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and later received a bachelor of
science in art from West Texas A&M. He married Judith Dement in 1989 in
Amarillo. He worked for Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors before starting his
own mortuary business in 1995. The family moved to New Mexico to work in the
funeral industry in 2000, but returned to the Panhandle in 2003. He was
currently employed by Brown Funeral Directors in Borger.

He had a God-given talent for art and he shared it with many of his family and
friends. Ricky loved to tell little stories and anecdotes to everyone, even
strangers, just to see them smile.

He had an intense love for his wife and their precious children. Not a day
went by that he did not prove his love to them. Rick was completely devoted to
Judith, showing her unwavering love and affection each and every day. His
passion for his children was obvious to all; he loved watching Luke play
baseball, hunting and going to the movies with Zac, raising Sydney to be his
perfect princess and sharing his love for God with Slade and teaching them the
things only a father could - those memories will be forever cherished. Ricky
will be dearly missed by his family and many friends; his amazing presence and
love for life will never be forgotten.

Survivors include his wife Judith; four children, Zac, Luke, Sydney and Slade;
his mother, Brenda Downs of Borger; his father, Carlton Downs of Borger; a
sister, Carla Gee and husband Michael of Amarillo; his grandmother, Mae
Browning of Borger; a special aunt, Margie Paulsell and husband Alvin of
Borger; cousins, Lisa Whitworth and husband Spanky, Suzanne Moore and husband
John and Kevin Paulsell and wife Lisa, all of Borger; and many other loving
family members and friends.

Margaret Leach, 90, of Amarillo died Monday, April 16, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Generation Next, 3503 S.W. Sixth Ave.,
with Tommy Fulgham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens
Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.

Mrs. Leach was born July 31, 1916, in Hico. She was raised in Ardmore, Okla.,
and moved to Dumas in 1946. She worked at Dumas Cleaners for many years. She
was a very hard worker and loved serving her friends and family. She was a
member of Bible Baptist Church in Dumas.

She married Henry T. Leach in 1943 in Electra.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Beverly Mayeaux of Newport News,
Va., and Linda Sloan of Amarillo; a son, Henry Leach of Howardwick; a brother,
Albert Steele of Burkburnett; her grandson and caregiver, Thomas Abernathy; 14
grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mary El Dora "Tillie" Anglin

CLARENDON - Mary El Dora "Tillie" Anglin, 85, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in
Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Citizens Cemetery with Don
Stone, Church of Christ minister from Clarendon, officiating. Arrangements are
by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Mrs. Anglin was born April 15, 1922, in Brice, Hall County, to William and
Zettie Rae Rexrode. She was a Wellington resident before moving to Clarendon
in 1957. She married Everett William Anglin on Dec. 29, 1938, in Hollis, Okla.
She and her husband had farmed and owned Anglin's RV Park and Our Playhouse
and Anglin Motel in Clarendon before their retirement.

She also was an art teacher and had owned Tillie's Art Studio and belonged to
several Panhandle area artist groups. Over the years, she had won many awards
for her art. She was a longtime member of the Clarendon Chamber of Commerce
and was a member of Clarendon Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a
fun person and as one who dearly loved life, art and her family.

Your great love for life and joyous spirit will be greatly missed but not
forgotten. We love you.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 2001; a brother; and two
sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Saied of Amarillo and Cindy Ellis of
Claude; a son, Sammy Anglin of Clarendon; a sister, Grace Gregory of Dumas; a
sister-in-law, Billie Rexrode of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren.

Betty Sue Green Clemmons

FRITCH - Betty Sue Green Clemmons, 74, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, in
Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Fritch First Southern Baptist Church
with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn
Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Clemmons was born March 26, 1933, in Childress, and was a resident of
Fritch for 27 years. She married Bill Clemmons on Nov. 16, 1950, in Pampa, and
they were married for 56 years.

She was a 1950 graduate of Pampa High School and was a graduate of West Texas
State University. She taught at Morse, Spring Creek and Pringle-Morse ISDs as
a third- and fourth-grade teacher. Betty had an impact on many of her students
over the course of her career. She was an avid golfer with two holes-in-one
and was a member of the Phillips Ladies Golf Association and Elkettes. The
love of the Lord was her source of faith.

Special thanks to all our family members and friends who supported us during
her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Lay Green; two
sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include her husband Bill; three daughters, Terry Lynn Garland and
husband Terry of Amarillo, Mary Ann Hughes Davis of Dallas and Stacy Watson of
Wichita Falls; a sister, Ila Pettit; four brothers, Bobby, R.D., Burle, and
Roy Green; four grandsons; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Mrs. Glenn was born in Perryton and had lived there all her life. She was a

on June 8, 1963, in Friona.

FARGO, Okla. - John V. Shepherd, 92 , died Sunday, April 15, 2007.

Mr. Shepherd was born Oct. 31, 1914, in Catesby, the son of George William and
Hazel Vaughn Crail Shepherd. He married Helen Lee Smith on May 25, 1941, in
Sitka, Kan.

Survivors include four children, Una Covalt of Pampa, Texas, Sissy Sexton of
Amarillo, Texas, Little Johnny Shepherd Jr. of Holdenville and Patty Holmes
Wilcoxen of Woodward; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four
