R. Charles Albright

R. Charles Albright, 78, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ with
Loran Harper pastor officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Albright was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Graham to Hattie and R. Charles
Albright Sr. He had been an electrical engineer for SPS and retired in 1989
after more than 38 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Joyce Albright.

Survivors include four sons, Loyd Bruce Albright of New Jersey, Leslie Ray
Albright and wife Leloy, Larry Charles Albright and Max Gene Albright and wife
Pam, all of Amarillo; a sister, Patricia Sue Okonski of Florida; nine
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Jan Hudson, 68, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Ms. Hudson was born Feb. 4, 1939, in San Antonio. She worked as a waitress.

Sue Hernandez

Sue Hernandez, 65, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 10, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of
Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hernandez was born Aug. 2, 1941, in San Angelo to Rex Guy and Ruth Irene
Hayhurst Bowers. She was a licensed beautician who was active in her
childrens' lives, acting as a den mother for Brownie troops and Boy Scout
troops. She was a cheerleading coach as well as a mom for anyone who needed
one.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hernandez; two sisters; and
her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Hernandez and wife Leslie of Lubbock and
David Hernandez and wife Amber of Amarillo; a daughter, D'Nisia Dustman and
husband Mike of Calhan, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

David Earl McDowell

David Earl McDowell, 61, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 10, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with
the Rev. Dale Bigham, pastor of Arden Road Baptist Church, officiating.
Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

David was born Aug. 12, 1945, in Amarillo to R.V. and Marie McDowell. He loved
to play golf and fish and her loved his private time. He was an excellent son,
brother and dad. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his mother on Dec. 31, 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Lynn McDowell and David Dean McDowell and wife
Janet of Amarillo; a grandson, Colton Dean McDowell; his father, R.V. McDowell
of Amarillo; and four brothers, Roy McDowell and wife Terry, Tommy McDowell
and wife Emmalee, all of Amarillo, Larry McDowell and wife Brenda of Franklin,
Tenn., and Darrell McDowell and wife Cynthia of Amarillo.

The family will be at 6005 Oxbow Trail.

Federico B. "Jaime" Nunez

Federico B. "Jaime" Nunez, 70, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel,
2800 S. Osage St., with Ken Haney, pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista
Jerusalem, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Nunez was born Oct. 29, 1939, in Big Spring. He moved to Amarillo in 1968.
He worked for the Bushland Co-op for 10 years as a mechanic and truck driver.
Mr. Nunez was a deacon at Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem for 27 years.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved rodeos and his horses. He was a
great dad and granddad.

He married Alicia Trevino in 1955 in Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992; a son, Carlos, in 2003; and a
grandson, Julian, in 2001.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy A. Morales and husband Danny,
Priscilla Vasquez and Maria Garcia and husband Daniel, all of Amarillo; a son,
Fred Nunez Jr. and wife Socorro of Amarillo; a sister, Elva Galan of Amarillo;
16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two
special friends, Nick and Dinah Garcia.

The family suggests memorials be to Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem or the
American Heart Association.

The family will be at 5125 Temple Drive.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral
home.

Glenn Louis Cogdill

BORGER - Glenn Louis Cogdill, 84, died Friday, March 9, 2007, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wesley United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Jerry Lane pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery
in Pampa by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Cogdill was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Mulhall, Okla. He served in the U.S.
Army in the European theater of conflict during World War II, and retired from
Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1984 after 33 years. Glenn was a master electrician
and had served as electrical inspector for the city of Borger. He married
Twila Rich in 1941 in Borger.

Mr. Cogdill belonged to Wesley Methodist Church. He was a Mason and a member
of Isom Lodge No. 1242 in Borger. Glenn served as both Worshipful Master and
secretary of that lodge. He also served as District Deputy Grand Master of
Texas Grand Lodge for the northern Panhandle area, and was honored by the
Grand Lodge of Texas in 1995 with the Golden Trowel award for exceptional
service to the community. Mr. Cogdill was also a member of Borger Chapter No.
811 Order of the Eastern Star and had served as Worthy Patron.

Survivors include his wife, Twila; three sons, Ron and wife Kathy of Euless,
Jerry and wife Alice of Longmont, Colo., and Wayne and wife Carolena of
Amarillo; two brothers, Marvin Cogdill of Bartlesville, Okla., and James
McPherson of Gunbarrel City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorial be to a favorite charity.

Mary Ruth Jones

WELLINGTON - Mary Ruth Jones, 90, died Saturday, March 10, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Ricky Caretensens, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Quail Cemetery
by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born July 14, 1916, in Bellvue to Elisha and Beatrice Liston
King. She married Rufus Jones on June 7, 1945, in Marilla.

Survivors include a stepson, C.H. Jones of Log Cabin; a stepdaughter, Nell
Charlton of Minco, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven
great-great-grandchildren.

Kirsten Nykole Sanderson

PLAINVIEW - Kirsten Nykole Sanderson, infant, died Wednesday Feb. 21, 2007, in
Lubbock. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Kirsten was born Feb. 21, 2007, in Plainview to Crystal Lynn Sanderson and
Jeremy Morace Dutcher. She had a short life on Earth but she was loved, and
will be missed, by many.

Survivors include her mother; her father; her grandparents, Hope Sanderson,
Larry and Maria Beatrice Sanderson, Loretta Dutcher and David Dutcher; and her
great-grandmother, Juanita Soliz.

Jay Nials

DALHART - Jay Nials, 75, died Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the school auditorium in Nara Visa,
N.M.

John "Jay" Eloy Nials was born Oct. 3, 1931, near Hudson, N.M., to John Linden
and Ethel Laurinda Payton Nials. He grew up near Logan, N.M. He started to
work at the age of 11 on a ranch south of Tucumcari, N.M. He continued to do
ranch work for the rest of his life. He started working for the Roy Coots
Ranch in 1959, and worked for them until he bought part of the ranch and
leased a large part of the rest of it.

He married Ada L Evans on Feb. 14, 1989. At the time of his death, he and his
wife were still running the ranch. Jay was one of the last real cattlemen of
our time.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, W. A. "Bink" Nials and
Henry Nials; two sisters, Thelma Nials and Velma Aulds; and a nephew, Roy
Nials.

Survivors include his wife; four nephews, Ray Nials and wife Joanne and Marvin
Nials and wife Lucy, all of Tucumcari, Fred Nials of Denver, and Steven Aulds
of Athens; five nieces, Dorothy Racumas and husband Mike of Overland, Kan.,
Collene Derrick and husband Jerry of Canyon, Betty Behrenet and husband John
and Edna Faye Booker and husband George, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Evelyn
Waite and husband Loyd of Rolla, Mo.; 12 great-nephews; four great-nieces; and
six stepchildren.

BORGER - Jewel Tindall, 97, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Panhandle.

Mrs. Tindall was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Cranfills Gap. She was a charter

PAMPA - Ola Mitchell, 85, died March 9, 2007, in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Mitchell was born July 3, 1921, in Glenmore, La. She married Wayne
Mitchell on Nov. 8,1939, in Wellington.

Fogle of Fredericksburg; a brother, Gene Winegeart of Pampa; two sisters, Opal

PERRYTON - Clydean "Dean" McElroy, 68, died Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr.
Ed Williamson officiating. Burial will be Saturday in Chapelwood Memorial
Gardens in Nash by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Mrs. McElroy was born March 22, 1938, in Pike County, Ark., on the south bank
of the Big Muddy, to Clyde and Lois Reese. She had lived in Perryton since
1966, moving from Borger. She married R.L. McElroy on Feb. 17, 1956, in
Texarkana.

She was a homemaker and loved sports. She was involved with youth bowling in
Perryton and bowled in tournaments. Her greatest achievement was her four
children and her grandchildren. She loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ella Vee Lewis; and a
grandchild, Camerick McElroy in 1990.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sabrina Owens and husband Gary of
Amarillo; three sons, Leo McElroy and wife Denise of Spearman, Randy McElroy
and wife Gene of Perryton and Russell McElroy and wife Laurie of Canadian; a
brother, Dwayne Reese of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

BEAVER, Okla. - Ernest "Goob" Brooks, 71, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, in
Wichita, Kan.

Mr. Brooks was born April 5, 1935, in McLean, Texas, to Ernest Burton and
Piney Myrtle Westbrook Brooks. He married Laquita Almond on Dec. 21, 1981, in
Tulsa.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David W. Brooks of Kingfisher and Jerry
R. Brooks of Galena, Mo.; a brother, Owen Brooks of Zavalla, Texas; a sister,

Mr. Smiley was born Sept 5, 1939, in Texarkana to Chester and Eunice Ferrell
Smiley. He was a member of the Associated General Contractors and First United
Methodist Church.

Abilene; three sisters, Wilma Tune of Fort Davis, Naomi Wilson of Estill
Springs, Tenn., and Elaine Brown of Friendswood; and five grandchildren.

J. Lynn Futch

TEMPLE - J. Lynn Futch, 81, died Friday, March 9, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Assembly of God in Paducah. Burial
will be at Garden of Memories in Paducah by Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of
Temple.

Mr. Futch was born July 7, 1925, in King County in the Finney community to
J.C. and Ruth Lynn Futch. He was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army
Air Corps. He was a first lieutenant and a B-25 bomber pilot. He married Edna
Ruth Sweeney on Sept. 18, 1943, in Hollis, Okla. He was state director of the
Texas Farmer's Home Administration, being appointed by President Nixon, and
later reappointed by President Reagan. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of
God.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Yeakey of Little River; a
son, David Futch and wife Laura of Belton; two grandchildren, Matthew and
Gary; and two brothers, Don Futch and wife Lois of Seattle and Lawrence Futch
and wife June of Athens

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Seigler Funeral Home in
Paducah.
