   MULESHOE - James "Hack" Corbell, 64, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in
   Lubbock.
   
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with
   Tom  Wilson  officiating.  Burial  will  be  in Muleshoe Memorial Park
   Cemetery.
   
   Mr. Corbell had lived in Clovis since 1988, moving from Friona. He was
   a member of the Nazarene church and was a spray pilot.
   
   Survivors  include  his wife, Shirley; a son, Randy Corbell of Eunice,
   N.M.;  three  daughters,  Jamie  Todd  of  Hobbs,  N.M., Debi Smith of
   Nashville, Tenn., and Kim Napolitano of Hope Mills, N.C.; two sisters,
   Ann  Wilson  of  Rowlett  and  Carrie Kesterson of Texarkana; and five
   grandchildren.

   Brent  Farney,  pastor,  officiating.  Burial  will  be  in  Stratford
   Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
   
   Mrs.  Ramirez  was  born  April  14, 1972, in Oklahoma City. She was a
   homemaker.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stratford. She
   was  a  resident  of Stratford for the past nine months, prior to that
   time she lived in Amarillo. She was a former resident of Guymon, Okla.
   
   Survivors  include  her father and stepmother, Joe and Barbara Ramirez
   of  Guymon;  her  mother  and  stepfather,  Denise and Scott Kenton of
   Weston,  Colo.;  a  daughter,  Ashley  Ingram of Liberal, Kan.; a son,
   Derrek Hager of Stratford; a brother, Ethan Ramirez of Granite, Okla.;

   PAMPA  -  Winnie  Rachelle "Meemaw" Medley, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 17,
   2002.

   Directors  Colonial  Chapel  with  Lonny  Robbins,  pastor  of Trinity
   Fellowship  Church,  officiating.  Burial  will  be  in Memory Gardens

   Mrs. Medley was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Munday. She had been a lifelong
   resident of Pampa.

   Timmons  of Newark, Calif.; three sons, Nelson Medley of Pampa, Jimmie
   Ray Medley of Fort Smith, Ark., and Dennis Medley of Springfield, Mo.;

   Mr. Baeza was born in Ojinaga, Mexico. He had worked as a farmer.

   Enedit  Mendoza,  both of Stratford, and Erika Soto of Amarillo; three

   Mrs.  Hector moved to Amarillo 40 years ago. She was a cashier at Gunn
   Brothers and she was a member of First Baptist Church.
   
   Survivors  include her husband, Chester; and a brother, Roy B. Bridges
   of Los Angeles.

   Mrs.  Workman was born June 2, 1910, in the Corsicana area. She worked
   for Doche Cleaners until her retirement.

   Webster "Tunney" Heath, 70, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002.
   
   Services  will be at noon Saturday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800
   S.  Osage  St.,  with the Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister,
   officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
   
   Mr.  Heath  was  born  in  Raymondsville. He had lived in Amarillo for
   about  54 years. He married Mary Turner in 1958 at Amarillo. He worked
   33  years for Gilvin and Terrill as a mechanic and shop supervisor. He
   retired in 1990.
   
   Survivors include his wife; two sons, Corrie Heath and Wes Heath, both
   of Amarillo; three sisters, Lavada Jones of Runaway Bay, Mildred White
   of  Decatur  and Marie Malone of Shawnee, Okla.; two brothers, Chester
   Heath  of  Collinsville  and  Monroe Heath of Slaton; a granddaughter,
   Jennifer Heath; and two grandsons, Jonathan Heath and Robert Heath.

   John  Frank  Ragsdale, 63, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in
   Colorado Springs, Colo.
   
   Memorial  services  will  be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rector Funeral Home
   Chapel,  2800  S. Osage St., with Gary Hall officiating. Burial was in
   Santa Fe National Cemetery.
   
   Mr.  Ragsdale  was born Nov. 4, 1939, in Dunkin County, Mo. He proudly
   served  his  country  in  the  Marine Corps from 1956 to 1966, serving
   three  tours  of  duty  in  Vietnam, where he received numerous combat
   medals including the Purple Heart and Navy Cross for Heroism.
   
   He  moved  to Amarillo in 1978 and worked for Iowa Beef Processing for
   four  years.  He  then  found his calling in life as a long-haul truck
   driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 379 in Bedford.
   
   He  was  preceded  in  death by his mother, Beulah Rouse Ragsdale; his
   father,  Wayne  Edward  Ragsdale  in  St.  Louis, Mo.; three brothers,
   Jessie  Ragsdale,  Bobby  Ragsdale  and Ray Ragsdale; and two sisters,
   Bettye Counts and June Parker.
   
   Survivors  include  a  daughter,  Kellie Gates of Silverdale, Wash.; a
   son,   Scott  Wayne  Ragsdale  and  wife,  Debbie,  of  Silverdale;  a
   granddaughter, Kathryn Gates; a grandson, Ethan Ragsdale; two sisters,
   Lealva  May  of  Hastings,  Neb., and Mary Hall of Euless; his fiance,
   Lynn   Lucas;   and   many   loving   nieces,  nephews,  great-nieces,

   Lucile D. Moore, 90, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002.

   Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
   
   Mrs.  Moore was born in Washington, Mo. She married Robert C. Moore on
   July  22, 1959, in Amarillo. Mrs. Moore was a transportation clerk for
   Veterans Affairs Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 1971. She moved to
   Windsor,  Colo., in 1996 from Amarillo, then moved to Loveland, Colo.,
   in 2001.
   
   Mrs.  Moore  was  a  past  matron  of  Order of the Eastern Star, A.E.
   Shirley  Chapter 986. She was also a member of American Business Women
   and  Paramount  Terrace Christian Church. She enjoyed oil painting and
   reading.
   
   She  was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Jean Adsit; and a
   brother, Ralph Dowd.
   
   Survivors  include  a  daughter, Mickey Jo Moore and husband, Mike, of
   Loveland;  a  sister,  Gladys  Burns of Arkansas; three grandchildren,
   Robert  G.  Smith  and  wife, Christi, of Wheat Ridge, Colo., D. Brent
   Smith  and  wife,  Brenda,  of  Gypsum,  Colo.,  and Stacy M. Smith of
   Loveland; and four great-grandchildren.

   Christopher Ryan Briones, 21, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002,
   in Austin.

   Monsignor  Joseph  Tash  officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens

   Avenue and Pierce Street.
   
   Mr.  Briones  was  a  loving  son  and  brother, a good grandchild and
   nephew,  a fun cousin, a good godson and a good friend. He was a South
   Georgia  Eagle,  a  Bonham  Mustang,  an  Amarillo  High  Sandie and a
   fighting  Texas  Longhorn. In his life, he played the piano from third
   grade  up  to  his senior year, and he played viola in his elementary,
   middle school and high school orchestra.
   
   He  played  soccer  and always had a heart for homeless dogs. He was a
   true  leader  as  Amarillo  High's  1999-2000  National  Honor Society
   president  and  was  recently  elected  president  of  Alpha Phi Omega
   Community  Service Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin. Having
   just turned 21 on July 4, Ryan had aspirations to attend University of
   Texas  Law  School  after graduating with a double major in Government
   and Spanish.
   
   Survivors  include  his  parents, Marc and Gina Briones of Amarillo; a
   sister,  Joy  Briones  of Amarillo; and his grandparents, Eduvijes and
   Ildefonso of the Philippines and Monica Briones of Amarillo.

   Mrs.  Dowty  was  born  Nov.  11,  1938,  in Fort Worth to E.O. "Slim"
   Steadman and Jessie Mae Hyden. She lived most of her life in Amarillo,
   recently retiring from Jane Elliot Realtors.
   
   As  a  loving  wife,  mother, grandmother and friend, she touched many
   lives  with  her  bright smile, fun-loving nature and undying courage.
   She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
   
   She  was  preceded  in  death by her parents; her husband, Wesley Earl
   Dowty; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Redd; and a sister, Susan Phillips.
   
   Survivors include three daughters, Darla Mathis and Donna Salter, both
   of Amarillo, and Dana Pierson and husband, Larry, of The Colony; three

   Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.
   
   Mrs. Behne was born June 22, 1900, in Texas County. She married Edward
   L. Behne on Sept. 14, 1918, in Guymon.
   
   Survivors  include  two daughters, Dora Sales of Kingsland, Texas, and
   Dorothy  Farrington of Guymon; three sons, Albert Behne of Hooker, and
   Robert  R.  Behne  and Jim Behne, both of Guymon; two sisters, Dorothy
   Overall  of  Guymon and Ethel Pitts of Dayton, Ohio; 26 grandchildren;

   Winfield "Windy" L. Knight
   
   BEAVER,  Okla.  - Winfield "Windy" L. Knight, 81, died Wednesday, Dec.
   18, 2002.
   
   Memorial  services  will be at 2 p.m. today in Beaver United Methodist
   Church   with   John   Breon,  pastor,  and  Dan  Carter  officiating.
   Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service.
   
   Mr.  Knight  was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Beaver County to George Lewis
   and Goldie Burk Knight. Growing up on the family farm, Windy graduated
   from  Beaver  High School in 1941. Following graduation he entered the
   armed  services,  serving  as  an army paratrooper in World War II. He
   parachuted with the 508th Battalion of the 82nd Airborne into Normandy
   on D-Day and received a Purple Heart for a broken leg.
   
   Following  the  war, Windy returned to Beaver County to marry Claudine
   Cothran on Aug. 11, 1946, in Beaver United Methodist Church. In a much
   varied  career  Windy  was  a  truck  driver, farmer, rancher and road
   construction  worker,  finally  retiring as a longtime employee of the
   Bureau of Mines, Amarillo Helium Operations.
   
   Windy  was  a  virtual jack-of-all-trades and master of many. He was a
   good  and  honest  husband,  father,  grandfather and friend. He was a
   faithful member of the Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
   
   He  was  preceded  in  death by his parents; three sisters, Euna Faye,
   Wanda and Pauline; and two brothers, Darwin and Glen.
   
   Survivors  include  his  wife;  two  daughters, Diane Bim and husband,
   Brian,  of  Amarillo,  Texas,  and  Denise Carter and husband, Dan, of
   Morton,  Texas;  a son, Roger Knight and wife, Kathy, of Amarillo; six
   grandchildren,  Brett  Bim,  Mandi  Garcia, Kari Brace, Maggi Perkins,
   Kacy Brown and Cade Carter; and a great-granddaughter.

   Mr.  Shaw married Peggy Worsham on Aug. 26, 1958, in Austin, Texas. He
   was retired from the Air Force as a fire protection supervisor.

   grandparents,  Darrell  Spies,  and  Robert  and  JoAnn  Brown, all of

   Edwin J. Webb
   
   MILLERSBURG,  Pa. - Edwin J. Webb, 89, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of
   Millersburg, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002.
   
   Graveside  services  will  be  at  1 p.m. Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery.
   Arrangements are by Hoover Funeral Home.
   
   Mr.  Webb was born April 21, 1913, in Kootenai, Idaho. He was a member
   of First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo.
   
   Survivors  include  two  daughters,  Kay Williams of Dallas and Martha
   Thomas  of  Manns  Choice;  a  brother, Harold Webb of Coraopolis; six
   grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

   Virgil L. Adams
   
   ODESSA - Virgil L. Adams, 74, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002.
   
   Memorial  services  will  be  at  3  p.m.  Saturday in Frank W. Wilson
   Funeral Directors Chapel.
   
   Mr. Adams was born April 28, 1928, in Tuxedo. He married Frankie Smith
   on Aug. 8, 1948, in Clarendon.
   
   Survivors include his wife; five sons, Warren Adams of Amarillo, David
   Adams of San Marcos, Jackie Adams of Emory, Tommy Adams of Liberty and
   Danny  Adams  of Odessa; two brothers, Tommy Berry of Cedar Creek Lake
   and  Gordon  Allen  of  Lockney;  a sister, Ruby Nell of Plainview; 14
   grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

   David Cupell
   
   LIBERAL,  Kan.  -  David Cupell, 50, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in
   Wichita.
   
   Services  will  be  at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the
   Rev.  David Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery by
   Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
   
   Mr.  Cupell  was  born  Sept. 23, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas. He married
   Connie Alexander on May 26, 1972, in Hereford, Texas.
   
   Survivors  include  his  wife;  three  daughters,  Leigh Ann Glenn and
   twins,  Ashlee  and Amanda, all of Liberal; his father, JoEd Cupell of
   Amarillo;  a  brother,  Albert  Cupell of Amarillo; two sisters, JoAnn
   Stephens of Pampa, Texas, and Nita White of Amarillo; and a grandson.
   
   The  family suggests memorials be to the Cupell Children Memorial Fund
   in  care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second St., Liberal,
   KS 67901.
