   Extacy Dawn Mitchell-Salas, infant daughter of Wendy Mitchell of
   Canyon and Daniel Salas of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Llano East Cemetery with
   Dr. Paul Richardson of Rockwell Road Baptist Church officiating.
   Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
   
   Extacy was born in Amarillo.
   
   Survivors include her mother and father; grandparents, Christi and
   Kevin Mitchell of Canyon and Yolanda Salas of Amarillo;
   great-grandparents, Lewis Graves of Raton, N.M., Patsy Graves of
   Dewey, Okla., and Gaylord Lisney of Lubbock; and
   great-great-grandfather, Earl Loe of Dewey.
   
   The family requests memorials be to the Neonatal Care Unit at
   Northwest Texas Hospital; or Texas Tech Medical School.
   
   Robert Littleton Barber
   Robert Littleton Barber, 77, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Sept. 9,
   1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Methodist Church in Lazbuddie
   with Andy Rogers of Antler, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in
   Muleshoe Cemetery in Muleshoe by Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of
   Lone Wolf, Okla.
   
   Mr. Barber was born in Lubbock and attended school in Lazbuddie and
   Muleshoe. From 1942 until 1946, he served in the Army where he
   received the European-African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Air Medal
   with five oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal and Distinguished Unit
   Badge.
   
   For more than 30 years, Mr. Barber worked for Foster Fertilizer Co. He
   was a farmer and a member of Church of Christ.
   
   He married Alice Marie Hagan in 1975 at Lazbuddie.
   
   Survivors include his wife; five sons, Robert Leslie Barber of
   Dalhart, Jerry Lynn Barber of Lazbuddie, Bill J. Hill of Dumas, Bobby
   C. Hill of Sunray and Thomas Ray Hill of Amarillo; a daughter, Gwen
   Grooms of Denver; a brother, Clarence Barber of Union Gap, Wash.; a
   sister, Edith King of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; and three
   great-grandchildren.
   
   Visitation will be from 9 until 8 p.m. today and Sunday at Rector
   Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage in Amarillo.
   
   Vernie L. Sharp
   Vernie L. Sharp, 81, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery
   with Windell Taylor, chaplain of Veterans Administration Medical
   Center, and Don McColl, elder at First Christian Church, officiating.
   Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615
   Paramount Blvd.
   
   Mr. Sharp was born in Carlton, Canada, and graduated from Wildorado
   High School. During World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in the
   Army.
   
   For 22 years, Mr. Sharp worked for the Department of Bureau of Mines -
   Helium Division. He was a 30-year member of Pleasant Valley Christian
   Church.
   
   He married Minnie Belle Parker in 1946 at Amarillo.
   
   Survivors include his wife; a son, David L. Sharp of Brunswick,
   Canada; two brothers, Sidney Sharp of Bushland and Al Emerson Sharp of
   Stockton, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
   
   The family will be at 1105 Buena Vista. They suggest memorials be to a
   favorite charity.
   
   Doc Russell Vermillion
   Doc Russell Vermillion, 90, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Sept. 9. 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ
   Chapel with Loran Harper, minister, officiating. Burial will be in
   Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820
   Virginia Circle.
   
   Mr. Vermillion was born in Greer County, Okla., and moved to Amarillo
   at a young age. He was a plumber and owner/operator of Triple A
   Plumbing. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 196 and
   Comanche Trail Church of Christ.
   
   He married Lula Maude Gilliam in 1928 at Amarillo. He was preceded in
   death by his wife and a daughter, Carole Vermillion, both in 1989.
   
   Survivors include a daughter, Billie June Atchison of Amarillo; a son,
   Ray Vermillion of League City; six grandchildren; and nine
   great-grandchildren.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Comanche Trail Church of Christ,
   Senior Room Building Fund, P.O. Box 30516, Amarillo, TX.
   
   Arlen W. Dees
   Arlen W. Dees, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery East
   with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church,
   officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors,
   2615 Paramount Blvd.
   
   Mr. Dees was born in Willow, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1981 from
   Dallas. He served in the Navy during World War II.
   
   In 1985, Mr. Dees retired as a selfemployed contractor. He was a
   Baptist.
   
   Survivors include five sons, Don Dees of Moscow, Kan., Randy Dees of
   Denton, Waymon Dees of Garland, Monty Dees of Verona, Ky., and Bryant
   Dees of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association.
   
   Terry Lynn Cave
   Terry Lynn Cave, 54, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery
   with the Rev. Bill Gehm of Grace Community Church officiating.
   Cremation was by Riverside Crematory in Boise, Idaho.
   
   Mr. Cave was born in Dalhart and raised in Amarillo. He attended West
   Texas State University and Utah State University and was a veteran of
   the Marine Corps. For the past 12 years, he had lived in the Pacific
   Northwest.
   
   Survivors include three sons, Ted of Amarillo and Troy and Temple,
   both of Dallas; a daughter, Michelle Moreno of Dallas; a brother,
   David of Amarillo; three sisters, Bette Cave Ramsey of Amarillo and
   Patricia Carter and Drue Lewis, both of Conroe; and nine
   grandchildren.
   
   The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Terry L. Cave
   Scholarship Fund in care of Amarillo National Bank, P.O. Box 1, Bell
   Street Branch, Amarillo, TX 79105.

   Cordell Corder
   HOOKER, Okla. - Cordell Corder, 53, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Church of Christ with Neville
   Buchanan and Evan Eggleston officiating. Burial will be in the Hooker
   Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home.
   
   Mr. Corder was born at Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga, Tenn. He married
   Bonnie Sue Gann in 1966. They moved to Guymon in 1975 where he worked
   for Hitch No. 1, retiring in 1998. They moved to Hooker in 1991. His
   wife died in 1993.
   
   He attended the Guymon Baptist Temple while living in Guymon and the
   Hooker Church of Christ while living in Hooker.
   
   In 1994, he married Nelda "Nell" Acker.
   
   Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Corder of Stillwater, Okla.;
   two daughters, Paula Taylor of Hooker and Carrie Wells of Guymon;
   three brothers, Jerry Corder and Billy Ray Corder, both of California
   and Dean Corder of Tennessee; two sisters, Diane Vossberg of
   California and Patricia Dykes of Alabama; and four grandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to the Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and

   Gladys Mae Key
   BEAVER, Okla. - Gladys Mae Key, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Elmhurst Cemetery
   followed by memorial services at 2 p.m. in Victory Memorial United
   Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, and the Rev.
   Bobby Howard, pastor of Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
   Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
   
   Mrs. Key was born in Beaver County near Boyd and completed fourth
   grade in a rural Beaver school. She completed her education in
   Goodwell. She attended Panhandle Agricultural Institute and attained a
   lifetime teaching certificate. She taught in Fulton and the Guymon
   school system.
   
   Mrs. Key was a member of the Sigma Phi club, Guymon Order of Eastern
   Star Chapter No. 419 and Victory Memorial United Methodist Church
   where she taught Sunday School and assisted with the annual church
   bazaar. She was active in preparations for the annual Pioneer Days
   celebrations.
   
   In 1956, Mrs. Key and her husband moved to the family homestead in
   Beaver County where they farmed and operated a dairy. She continued to
   run the farm after his death.
   
   She married Clyde Key in 1931. He died in 1978.
   
   Survivors include two daughters, Dorla Summars of Woodward and Mary
   Caruthers of Jonesborough, Tenn; six grandchildren; and six
   great-grandchildren.
   
   Visitation will be from 1 until 9 p.m. Sunday and during Monday
   morning at the funeral home.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Gladys Key Memorial at the Beaver
   County Nursing Home and will be accepted at Henson-Novak Funeral Home,
   Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.

   Robert E. Borchardt
   LOMETA - Robert E. Borchardt, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at
   Tulia.
   
   Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Senterfitt Cemetery in Lampasas
   County with Jim Price and Harlan Hamilton officiating. Arrangements
   are by Howell Doran Funeral Home Inc. of San Saba.
   
   Mr. Borchardt was born in Plainview. He was an Army veteran of World
   War II. He was a rancher and attended the Christian church.
   
   He married Frances King in 1941 at Plainview.
   
   Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne Borchardt of Lampasas and
   Henry Borchardt of Chugwater, Wyo.; a daughter, Virginia Hamilton of
   Parker, Colo.; three sisters, Evelyn Williamson of Tulia and Maurene
   Cornelius and Joan Borchardt, both of Plainview; and 10 grandchildren.
   
   James Franklin Wardell
   CINCINNATI - James Franklin Wardell, 59, a former Amarillo resident,
   died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999.
   
   Memorial services were Friday in Vorhis Funeral Home Chapel of
   Cincinnati.
   
   Mr. Wardell was born in Denver and moved to Amarillo when he was 5. He
   graduated from Amarillo High School. He was employed with the
   Amarillo-Globe News from 1959 until 1966 and had worked as a district
   manager. He also had worked in the oil business for many years.
   
   Survivors include a daughter, Jo Dawn Gifford of Carrollton; two sons,
   James Todd Wardell and James David Cummings, both of Carrollton; his
   mother, Betty Wardell of Amarillo; a brother, Robert R. Wardell of
   Mountainair, N.M.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
   
   Alice E. Ingham Lollis
   ATASCADERO, Calif. - Alice E. Ingham Lollis, 94, a former Stratford
   and Amarillo, Texas, resident, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999.
   
   Memorial services were Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Atascadero Christian
   Home with John Barry, pastor of the Christian Church of Atascadero,
   officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Sept. 16, in the
   Ingham family plot in the Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral
   Directors.
   
   Mrs. Lollis was born 10 miles outside Stratford in a dugout home.
   
   She married Lester Lawrence Lollis in 1924 at Stratford. They moved to
   California. They returned to Stratford in the late 1970s after living
   in California and Oregon for 50 years. She moved to Atascadero last
   year.
   
   Survivors include six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a
   greatgreat-grandchild.
   
   Kenneth W. Andrews
   LIBERAL, Kan. - Kenneth W. Andrews, 65, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Church of the Nazarene in
   Liberal with the Rev. Don Patrick officiating. Graveside services will
   be at 3 p.m. Monday in Edith Ford Cemetery in Canadian, Texas.
   Arrangements are by Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
   
   Mr. Andrews was born in Strickler, Ark., and moved to Canadian as a
   young boy. He was employed as a roughneck in the oil fields. In 1955,
   he moved to Liberal and was in the water well business for 35 years.
   
   Mr. Andrews owned and operated the Andrews Well Service. In 1995, he
   retired after five years with National Beef Packing Co. He was a
   member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
   
   He married Mary Lee Crosier in 1952 at Clovis, N.M.
   
   Survivors include three sons, Kenny and Michael Andrews, both of
   Liberal, and Danny Andrews of Junction City; two sisters, Wilma Olsen
   of Liberal and Wanda Cook of Canadian; and eight grandchildren.
   
   Viewing will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today and from 1 until 8 p.m.
   Sunday at Miller Mortuary.

   Wayne Henderson
   PLAINVIEW - Wayne Henderson, 73, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Paducah Garden of
   Memories at Paducah with the Rev. James Hooper, pastor of First
   Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home
   of Paducah.
   
   Mr. Henderson was born in Cottle County. He farmed and ranched for 20
   years in Dimmitt, Olton and Edmondson. He later operated a crop
   dusting service in Dumas before moving to Plainview in 1980.
   
   He was a World War II veteran of the Navy and a member of the
   Plainview Masonic Lodge Scottish Rite Consistory.
   
   He married Nola Mae Britton in 1948 at Paducah.
   
   Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger Henderson of Slaton; a
   daughter, Cynthia Carter of Amarillo; three brothers, Elvie Henderson
   of Floydada, Charlie Henderson of Kerrville and Jack Henderson of
   Baytown; two sisters, Geneva Metcalf of Iowa Park and Gwen Oram of
   Abernathy; and four grandchildren.
   
   Hazel Bell Leary
   CHILDRESS - Hazel Bell Leary, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Estelline Baptist Church with
   the Rev. Kerry Wood of First Baptist Church and the Rev. Bob Hill
   officiating. Burial will be in Hulver Cemetery at Hulver by Johnson
   Funeral Home.
   
   Mrs. Leary was born in Hulver. She lived most of her life farming and
   ranching in Northfield. She owned and operated Tradewinds Motel in
   Childress and was a member of Estelline Baptist Church.
   
   She married Marvin H. Leary in 1928 at Matador.
   
   Survivors include her husband; a son, Eddie Leary of Childress; two
   sisters, Wanda Moore of Bowie and Nell Sims of Happy; two
   grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
   
   L.V. Lively
   BORGER - L.V. Lively, 95, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of
   the Fountains with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist
   Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
   
   Mr. Lively was born in Columbia, La., and had been a resident of
   Borger for 72 years.
   
   He had been an electrician for Southwestern Public Service. He was the
   owner of L.V. Lively Electric Co., The Cone & Burger Drive-In, and the
   Golden Years Assisted Living Center. He also was the developer of the
   Pierson addition in the city.
   
   He was a member of Isom Masonic Post 1242, Scottish Rite Consistory
   and the Shriners.
   
   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Lively in 1993.
   
   Survivors include his wife, Doris Courtney Lively; and a nephew, Sam
   Watson of Georgia.
   
   George Pyles
   CHILDRESS - George Pyles, 67, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Assembly of God with the
   Rev. Clyde Fulfer officiating. Burial will be in the Childress
   Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home.
   
   Mr. Pyles was born in Childress. He worked for Fort Worth and Denver
   Railroad as a switchman.
   
   He married Helen Rekieta in 1951 at Childress.
   
   Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Pyles of Childress and
   David Pyles of Vernon; a daughter, Sharon Pyles of Childress; two
   sisters, Margaret Carroll of Childress and Corrine Defoor of Paducah;
   and three grandchildren.
   
   Helen Burelsmith
   TULIA - Helen Burelsmith, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church
   with the Rev. James Wilborn of the church and Jim Lacy of the First
   Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery
   by Wallace Funeral Home.
   
   Mrs. Burelsmith was born in Enterprize, Okla., and moved to Vernon in
   1925 where she attended schools. In 1948, she moved to Petersburg,
   then moved to Tulia in 1955.
   
   Mrs. Burelsmith was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a
   35-year member of both the Home Artist Club and Elkins Home
   Demonstration Club and a volunteer for the Good Shepard Christian
   Outreach Center.
   
   She married D.S. Burelsmith in 1939 at Vernon.
   
   Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sherry Malone of Tulia; a
   son, David Burelsmith of Mabank; two sisters, Ellen Wilder of Bonham
   and Analee Stanley of Oceanside, Calif.; a brother, Ed Simpkins of
   Pomona, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   
   Laura Mae Dykes Eddleman
   McLEAN - Laura Mae Dykes Eddleman, 75, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev.
   James Martindale officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by
   Lamb Funeral Home.
   
   Mrs. Eddleman was born in Brownfield. She was a member of First
   Baptist Church of McLean, Texas Chapter Route 66 Association and was
   four-year secretary/treasurer for the 20th Century Study Club.
   
   Survivors include a son, Randy Eddleman of McLean; a daughter, Linda
   Ruiz of McLean; a sister, LaVerne Brooks of McLean; and three
   grandchildren.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony Hospice and
   Life Enrichment Center, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
   
   Sandra Coley
   QUANAH - Sandra Coley, 52, died Friday, Sep. 10, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel
   with the Rev. Jesse Dea, retired Methodist minister, officiating.
   Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park.
   
   Mrs. Coley was born in Matador. In 1981, she moved to Quanah from
   Houston. She was employed by DeLong Sportswear.
   
   She married Bill Coley in 1961 at Quanah.
   
   Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brian Keith Coley and
   Christopher Wayne Coley, both of Quanah; her mother, Mabel Guest of
   Quanah; two sisters, Martha Fisher of Burkburnett and Audrey Lee Smith
   of Hobart, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
   
   Teresa Raquel Riojas
   HALE CENTER - Teresa Raquel Riojas, 72, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Templo Bautista in Plainview with
   the Rev. Raul Morales, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hale
   Center Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
   
   Mrs. Riojas was born in Calvert and moved to Hale Center in 1950. She
   was a homemaker and member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.
   
   She married Margarito Riojas in 1943 at Maryland, Texas. He died in
   1978.
   
   Survivors include three daughters, Connie Chavez of Golden City, Kan.,
   Janie Sanchez of Hale Center and Rosa Riojas of Amarillo; six sons,
   Christobal "Toby" Riojas and Joe Riojas, both of Plainview, John
   Riojas of Hale Center, Mike Riojas of Abernathy, Tony Riojas of
   Amarillo and Lupe Riojas of Lubbock; two brothers, Manuel Gonzalez of
   Las Vegas and Joe Gonzalez of Phoenix; three sisters, Maria Uribe of
   Sunnyside, Wash., Carmen Castilleja of Jacksonville, Fla., and Connie
   Lopez of Garden City, Kan.; 43 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren;
   and three great-great-grandchildren.
   
   Gorden Beryl Eddleman
   CLAUDE - Gorden Beryl Eddleman, 91, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.
   
   Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens
   Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Claude Funeral
   Home, 117 Trice.
   
   Mr. Eddleman was born in Lingleville and lived most of his life in
   Pampa. He moved to Claude three years ago. He was a farmer and retired
   after 20 years from the City of Pampa.
   
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Cordell Eddleman, in 1993.
   
   Survivors include nieces and nephews.
   
   Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. today and from noon until 7
   p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   
   Agnes Frizzell
   LOCKNEY - Agnes Frizzell, 84, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
   
   Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church in Lockney
   with the Rev. Gene Hawkins, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview
   Memorial Park in Plainview by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of
   Lockney.
   
   Mrs. Frizzell was born in Ponder and moved to Floyd County in 1917.
   She attended schools in Sterley and Lone Star then graduated from
   Lockney High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star,
   Lone Star Home Demonstration Club, First Baptist Church and Women's
   Missionary Union.
   
   She married Hubert E. Frizzell in 1936 at Lockney. He died in 1998.
   
   Survivors include a son, Tony Frizzell of Lockney; and nieces and
   nephews.
   
   The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service
   today at the funeral home.
