Foreword
To grasp and retain upon the printed pages our memorable school days, which are sometimes
so easily forgotten, we present this 1949 ÒPIRATEÓ. In this manner faces of our friends and
teachers will not become a blur. If this book brings a joy to your heart as you glance over
these pages in the future years we, the staff, will be pleased and gratified that our efforts were
not in vain.

For their loyalty, friendship, and for their splendid attitude toward each individual student
for their love of all good and noble things; for their patience and thoughtfulness, we dedicate
this annual, the 1949 ÒPirateÓ to M.H. Gilbreath and C.O. Bragg, our faithful leaders.

The aim of the administration is to make the Lueders School one which is best in its class,
one of which the teachers, students and patrons will be proud, and one in which the students
will take pride and work for greater achievements.

I want to express appreciation to our faculty, our school board and the patrons of our school for their loyal support.

I wish to pay tribute to the Staff and Senior Class for this years ÒPIRATEÓ and compliment you
on your excellent production.

Seniors, of 1949, we extend our best wishes in the tasks that lie ahead of you. We have
confidence in your ability and willingness to meet your problems and responsibilities that
will be yours in life.
