Robert Mattison Byers first married Mollie Ellen Butler
on May 28, 1879 in Grayson Co., TX.  She was born June
18, 1861 in Grayson Co., TX and died July 27, 1882 in
Collin Co., TX.  Their children were Josephine, an infant,
Mollie Ellen, and two childrn buried in Pike Cemetery,
TX near Meekness Marie Turner Byers.
 
Robert M. Byers married a second time to Melissa Alice
Butler (sister to his first wife) on November 18, 1883,
Celeste, Hunt Co., TX.  She was born July 15, 1866 in
Grayson Co., TX and died Jan. 8, 1958 in Celeste, Hunt Co.,
TX.  Their children were John Francis Byers, Nettie Meekness
Byers, Joseph Warden Byers, Herman Allen Byers.  
 
I have a partial article on Mrs. Robert M. Byers of Celeste...
on her 89th birthday.  She was a well known Celeste citizen
born in Grayson County in 1866, one year after the Civil War.
She moved to Hunt County with her husband in 1883 and moved to
Celeste in the early 1900's.  He hed in 1936.  She remembered
"going visiting" by wagon and if destination was ten or twelve
miles away, they always spent the night.  "We would throw pallets
on the floor for kids and everyboyd had a good time," she remembered.

Andy Joe Byers is the son of Harbert Byers.  Harbart Byers grew up
in Celeste.  Was Celeste Postmaster.  The home place still
stands--but it bad shape.
