   Martin,  Richard B. a retired Army lieutenant colonel, the founder and
   president  of  Sunland Air Express and chief financial officer of Auto
   Air  Transportation, died Friday (Sept. 29, 2000). He was 64 and was a
   longtime  El Paso resident.  Survivors include his wife, Graciela; his
   son,  Phillip Martin; his daughter, Eva Martin; and his stepsons, Iban
   Venegas  and  Juan Pablo Venegas.  Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m.
   today  in  Martin  Funeral  Home-Resler, with rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral
   Mass  will be at noon Monday in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Burial
   will be in Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
   
   
   Brewer,  Wesley  C. the owner of Chaparral Productions and a World War
   II  Army  veteran,  died  Tuesday  (Sept.  26,  2000). He was 78 and a
   longtime Chaparral resident.  Survivors include his wife, Novella; his
   daughters,  Dolores,  Geraldine,  Norlene Mathes, Melody Pettijohn and
   Tracey  Lewelling; and eight grandchildren.  Graveside service will be
   at  2:30 p.m. Monday in Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Arrangements are

   Bustillos,  Maria  55,  of  El  Paso  died  Friday  (Sept.  29, 2000).

   Giannini,  Cleo  G.  93,  of  El  Paso  died  Friday (Sept. 29, 2000).

   Gomez,  Antonio  V.  82,  of  El  Paso died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000).

   Rainwater,  Mildred Alene 95, of El Paso died Friday (Sept. 22, 2000).
   Visitation   will  begin  at  10  a.m.  Monday  in  Hillcrest  Funeral
   Home-Carolina,  where  the  funeral  will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial
   will  be  in Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Survivors include her sons,
   Dewey Rainwater and Harvey Rainwater; her daughters, Ethel Davison and
   Joanne  Davison;  25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was
   preceded  in  death  by  her  husband,  Roy  W. She was retired from a
   Woolworth  department  store as a stockroom manager and was a longtime
   El Paso resident.
   
   
   Rodriguez,  Josefina  G.  "EPO"  72, of El Paso died Friday (Sept. 29,
   2000).  Visitation  will  be  from  2  to  9 p.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest

   Silva,  Beatriz  O.  58,  of  El  Paso died Saturday (Sept. 30, 2000).

   McIntosh,  Lana  Mae  59, of Midland, Texas, formerly of El Paso, died
   Friday  (Sept. 29, 2000). Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today in
   Ellis  Funeral  Home-Midland, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. The funeral
   will  be  at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. The graveside service
   will  be  in  Resthaven  Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband,
   Dennis;  her sons, Kevin Roberts, Tim Roberts, Chris McIntosh and Sean
   McIntosh;   her   daughter,   Dawn   Owens;  two  brothers  and  seven
   grandchildren.  She  worked  for Southwestern Bell/AT&T until 1994 and

   Crumby, Loretta C. a schoolteacher, office manager and deputy district
   clerk for El Paso County, died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000).  She worked
   in the courthouse from 1962 to 1978. She was 93 and a longtime El Paso
   resident.   She  is survived by her sisters, Sophie Johnson and Gladys
   J.  Beard;  and  many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
   her  husband, Burt R.  The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. today in Grace
   United  Methodist  Church.  Burial  will  be  in  Fort  Bliss National
   Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist

   Brown,  Stella  Kaerwer 89, of El Paso died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000).
   Visitation  will  be  from 1 to 2 p.m. today in Restlawn Memorial Park
   Mausoleum,  where the funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Entombment will be
   in  Restlawn  Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survivors include her daughter,
   Emma  Lou  Smith;  five  sisters; one brother; seven grandchildren; 28
   great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded
   in  death  by  her husband, Glenn Davis. She was a homemaker and an El

   Molinar; his father, Dors Leonard Fry; and his brother, Leonard Dwayne
   Fry. He was a truck driver for Overland Trucking and was a longtime El

   Burial  will be in Memory Gardens of the Valley. Survivors include his
   wife,  Mary  Carmen;  his sons, Alfredo F. Saucedo, George A. Saucedo,
   Michael  S.  Saucedo  and  Victor A. Saucedo; his daughters, Christine
   Hodgdon  and  Patricia  Burdick;  one  brother;  one  sister; and nine
   grandchildren.  He  was  one  of  the  founders of Saucedo Brothers, a
   family-owned  lock  business, and a World War II Navy veteran. He also
   was  a  driver  in  the  first  Pan-American  Road Race from Juárez to
   Guatemala in 1950. He was a lifelong El Pasoan.
   
   
   Sooter,  Elvira  85,  of  El  Paso  died  Saturday  (Sept.  30, 2000).

   2000).  He  was  a  sergeant in the police department's Crimes Against
   Persons  division.  He  was  51  and  a  longtime  El  Paso  resident.

   daughter,  Logan  Connor;  his mother, Virginia Clark; three brothers;
   two  sisters;  and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Visitation

   Steve Marinovic; and his brother, Ormond Browning. He retired from the

   Cemetery.  He  is  survived  by  his  sisters, Connie Duran, Francisca
   Delgado  and  Natividad  Aguilar;  and many nieces and nephews. He was

   Kent,  Isabel M. 88, of El Paso died Monday (Oct. 2, 2000). Visitation

   and  her  friend,  Dale  Hawkins.  She  was  a  retired  Army nurse, a
   decorated  World  War  II  and Korean War Army veteran, and an El Paso
   resident since 1958.
   
   
   Talamantes,  Hector  Ramiro 61, of El Paso died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000).

   Wednesday in Panteon Jardines Eternos in Juárez. Survivors include his

   Lucero, Carlos J. of El Paso of El Paso died Monday (Oct. 2, 2000). He
   was  73  and  was  the  first  Hispanic patrol officer for the El Paso
   County  Sheriff's  Department. He also served in the Navy in World War
   II  and  was  a  lifelong  resident of El Paso.  Survivors include his
   brother,  Alfredo  Lucero,  and his sisters, Hortencia Rabago, Julieta
   Maya  and  Romelia  Dominguez.   Visitation  will  be from 4 to 9 p.m.
   Thursday  in Martin Funeral Home-East with rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral
   Mass  will  be  at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church.

   Billhartz,  Nancy Rountree "Lu-Lu" 51, of El Paso died Sunday (Oct. 1,

   Mortuary  Chapel  in  Fabens,  and  noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in Montana
   Street Church of Christ, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will
   be  in  Restlawn  Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Lana Reni
   Rivera  and  Melanie  Ruth  Billhartz;  her  parents,  Doc  and Arline
   Rountree;  two  sisters;  one  brother;  two  grandchildren.  She  was
   employed  by  the  U.S. Postal Service for 27 years and was a lifetime
   resident of El Paso.
   
   
   Browning,  Marlen  Leroy  84, of El Paso died Friday (Sept. 29, 2000).
   Graveside  service  will  be  at  9  a.m. today in Fort Bliss National
   Cemetery.  Survivors  include  his  brother, Ormond M. Browning; three
   nieces;  and  one  nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive
   Browning, and a stepson, Steve Marinovic. He was retired from the Army
   and  was  an  El  Paso  resident  for  more  than  44  years.  Funeral
   arrangements are by Sunset Funeral Home-Hondo Pass.

   registered  nurse  and a had been a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

   years  old and was a director for a medical industry. He served in the
   U.S.  Army  and  was  a  decorated  veteran  of World War II. He was a

   son,  Greg P. Lyle; his daughter, Nancy B. Taylor; one brother, Edward

   preceded  in  death  by  her  husband,  Carlos  F.  Arazoza. She was a

   Arrellanes,  Micaela  75,  of  El  Paso died Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2000).
   Funeral  will  be  at  9  a.m.  today in Sunset Funeral Home-Carolina.
   Burial  will  be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Survivors include her sons,
   Antonio  Arrellanes, Ramon Rojas, Efrain Rojas and Jesus Manuel Rojas;
   her  daughters,  Maria  De  Jesus Gonzalez and Yolanda Armendariz; two
   brothers;  two sisters; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   She was a homemaker and a longtime El Paso resident.
   
   
   Chavez,  Joseph  Henry  55,  of  El  Paso  died Friday (Oct. 6, 2000).
   Visitation  will  be  from  1  to 7 p.m. today in Mr. Franklin Funeral
   Home,  with  prayer  service  at 5:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife,
   Alma;  his sons, James Chavez, Danny Chavez, Joseph Chavez and Raymond
   Chavez;  his  daughters,  Christina  Chavez  and  Olivia  Montano; two
   brothers;  four  sisters;  and 11 grandchildren. He was a Realtor with
   Era Cardon and Co. and a longtime El Paso resident.
   
   
   Garcia, Enriqueta 72, of El Paso died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000). Funeral
   Mass will be at 9 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in
   Mount  Carmel Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Norma Patricia
   Garcia;  her  mother,  Maria  Del  Rayo Garcia; seven sisters; and her
   granddaughter,  Erika  Garcia.  She  was a Kress cake decorator for 37
   years  and  a  longtime  El  Paso resident. Arrangements are by Martin
   Funeral Home-Central.
   
   
   Malandris,  George  69,  of  El  Paso  died  Thursday  (Oct. 5, 2000).
   Visitation  will  begin  at  4  p.m.  Sunday in Harding-Orr & McDaniel
   Funeral  Home, and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11
   a.m.  Monday in St. Patrick Cathedral. Entombment will be in Evergreen
   East  Mausoleum.  Survivors  include  his  son,  Jorge  Malandris; his
   sister,  Sophia Malandris; two grandchildren; and many cousins. He was
   a self-employed taxi driver and a lifelong El Paso resident.
   
   
   Peña,  Josefina  Marquez 60, of El Paso died Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2000).
   No  services  are planned. Survivors include her sons, Jai Marquez and
   Jaime Marquez; her brother, Francisco Antonio Zigala Peña; her sister,
   Luz  Elena  Peña  Franco; and three grandchildren. She was a homemaker
   and  a  longtime  El Paso resident. Arrangements are by La Paz Funeral
   Home.
   
   
   Soto,  Armando 82, of El Paso died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000). Visitation
   will  be  from  3  to  9  p.m. today in La Paz Funeral Home. Survivors
   include  his sons, Rodolfo Soto, Armando Soto Jr. and Rafael Soto; his
   daughters,  Patricia Soto, Adriana Soto, Blanca Soto and Liliana Soto;
   two    brothers;    one    sister;    23   grandchildren   and   three
   great-grandchildren.  He  was  an  automobile  mechanic  and a 13-year
   resident of El Paso.
   
   
   Torres,  Ines H. 67, of El Paso died Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2000). Funeral
   Mass will be at 9 a.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
   Burial  will be in Memory Gardens of the Valley. Survivors include her
   husband,  Roberto;  her  sons,  Roberto  Torres Jr., Francisco Torres,
   Antonio  Torres  and  Jose  Torres; her daughter, Guadalupe Muñoz; her
   mother, Librada Solis; and 16 grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a
   lifelong  El  Paso resident. Memorial contributions may be made to the
   American  Cancer  Society or the Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements are

   Torres,  Annie  Laurie  97,  of  El Paso died Thursday (Oct. 5, 2000).

   will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include her son,
   Robert R. Winters; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She
   was  preceded  in  death  by  her  husband,  George  Winters,  and her
   daughter,  Frances  Ann  Palmore.  She  was a homemaker and an El Paso
