The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - April 26, 2013

Dana Lee Dempsey, 50, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, 
April 19, 2013.
 
Lee was born in California on June 15, 1962, to Charles Edward Dempsey 
and Berla Bell Dempsey. Lee married the love of his life, Debbie Massey, 
on February 5, 2000.

The couple moved to Robert Lee, Texas, in 2008 to run the local hardware 
store. Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting sports memorabilia. 
Lee was the type of man that never met a stranger and could always tell 
a good joke.

Lee is survived by his wife, Debbie Diane Dempsey; five children, Nicole 
Sanders, Heather Dempsey, Brandon Dempsey, Brandon Sandahl, and Justin 
Sandahl; one granddaughter, Jayce Lynn Sanders; two sisters, Shelby 
Crawford and Sharyn Farley and her husband Bill; three nieces, Dawn Farley, 
Mikayla Crawford, Riley Crawford; three nephews, Troy Farley, Jason 
Crawford, Joshua Crawford; one great-niece, Kassandra Elliot and two 
great-nephews, Damien Crawford and Christopher Gallegos; and two pets, 
Boo and Makita.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dempsey, Berla Crawford 
and stepfather, Bob Crawford; and one pet that he loved with all his 
heart, Chantille.

Services were held April 23, 2013, at 2 pm at the Robert Lee Baptist 
Church. Pastor Tim Woods was the officiate. Honorary pallbearers were 
E. R. Roberts, Robert Runyon, Brian Hamrick, Manuel Abalos, Josh Barnes, 
Bill Torres and Cruzin Tijerina. Lunch was served at the Emmanuel 
Pentecostal Church at 12 noon.
