 PONTIAC, Mich. -- Graveside services for Evelyn Moseman Davidson will
 be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn.
 The Rev. Bruce Hendrich will officiate. Those attending should assemble at the
 funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
 Mrs. Davidson, 69, of 364 Lakeside Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999.
 Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton is in charge of arrangements.

 Vester E. Dutton

 MARION -- Vester Eugene Dutton, 62, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in
 Bristol Regional Medical Center.
 He was a son of the late William Henry and Myrtle Dutton. He was of the
 Baptist faith.
 Surviving are three sons, Dwayne Dutton of Chilhowie, Terry Lee Dutton of
 Marion and Kevin Ray Dutton of Independence, Va.; a daughter, Sherry Lynn
 Waits of Taylorsville, N.C.; a brother, William "Bill" Dutton of Marion; three
 sisters, Marie Myers of Chilhowie and Ellen Stines and Betty Parks, both of
 Marion; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Adwolfe Freewill
 Baptist Church on Grubmore Road in Adwolfe by Bradley's Funeral Home in
 Marion. The Rev. Bob Surber will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View
 Cemetery in Chilhowie.
 Mr. Dutton was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sexton; and two
 brothers, Rob Dutton and Clyde Dutton.
 Among survivors are a special wife, Ruth A. Dutton; and a special friend, Ruby
 Martin of Abingdon.
 The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the church.

 Ronald Dean Ewen

 STANTON, Ky. -- Ronald Dean Ewen, 41, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in
 Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
 He was a son of Bernard and Laura Ewen of Stanton.
 Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, Deborah Ewen; a daughter, Jessica
 Renee Ewen of Hazel Green, Ky.; three sisters, Vickie Ewen of Olive Hill,
 Ky., Debbie McGee of Bristol Tennessee and Lenora Raines of Danville, Ky.
 A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Wells Funeral
 Home Chapel in Stanton.
 Among survivors are two nieces, Miranda Raines and Annie Raines, both of
 Danville, Ky.; and two nephews, Jayd Raines and Stephen Raines, both of
 Danville, Ky.
 Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Wells Funeral Home.

 Robert C. Ferguson

 CHILHOWIE -- Funeral services for Robert Cecil Ferguson will be
 conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Eugene

 Mr. Ferguson, 59, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his home.

 Mary Linda James

 MARION -- Mary Linda James, 56, formerly of Utah, died Monday, Nov.
 29, 1999, in Smyth County Community Hospital.
 She lived in Marion for the past three years and was the widow of Charles
 Terry James. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
 Saints.
 Surviving are three daughters, Teresa James and Kira James, both of Marion,
 and Debbie Balderas of Riverton, Utah; two sons, Brandon James and Rory
 James, both of Marion; two sisters, Janet Rhodes of Marion and Sherri Hollars
 of Boone, N.C.; a brother, Woodrow Gary Losey of Roanoke; a nephew; and
 five grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Barnett's Marion
 Funeral Home. President Steve Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Utah.
 Mrs. James was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Lance James.
 Among survivors are son-in-law, James Balderas of Riverton; daughter-in-law,
 Charlynn James of Marion; brother-in-law, Howard Rhodes of Marion;
 nephew, Eric Rhodes of Marion; grandchildren, Christian James of Oregon,

 Ronnie Kelley

 SACO, Maine -- Ronnie Kelley, 59, of 52 Alfred Road, formerly of Bristol
 Tennessee, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at his home.
 He was born in Richmond, Ky., a son of Maurice and Bessie Kelley. He was
 employed for the past 11 years as a salesman by various snack companies, the
 last being Humpty Dumpty Potato Chip Co., from which he recently retired.
 He was a member of Saco Church of the Nazarene in Saco, where he served
 as a song leader and board member. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran
 stationed in Fort Churchill, Canada.
 Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Harr Kelley of West Kennebunk; four sons,
 Zachary Kelly of West Kennebunk, Steve Kelley of Cincinnati, and Randy and
 Jeff Kelly, both of Richmond, Ky.; three daughters, Kimberly Kelley, Cindy
 Owens and Donna Wren, all of Richmond; six brothers; three sisters; and 12
 grandchildren.
 A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday in Saco.

 Gertrude L. Livergood

 Gertrude Lucille Livergood, 85, of 107 Pink Dogwood Circle, Bristol, Tenn.,
 formerly of Friendship, N.Y., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in Hospice House
 in Bristol.
 She was born in Whitesville, N.Y., a daughter of the late Van and Anna
 McElroy Matteson Sr. She was the widow of Clifford P. Livergood. She lived
 most of her life in the Friendship area and attended Friendship High School.
 She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. She
 was also employed in the cafeteria at Friendship Central School for several
 years. In 1965, she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Fla., where she was a
 school cafeteria employee. She retired and moved to Bristol in 1991.
 She was a member of Addilynn Memorial Methodist Church in Bristol, Tenn.,
 a past member of Friendship United Methodist Church and a past member of
 Smyrna Beach United Methodist Church.
 Surviving are two sons, Richard L. Livergood of Belmont and Lawrence E.
 Livergood of Bristol Tennessee; two daughters, Barbara J. Cummings and
 Ruth Tuttle, both of Bristol Tennessee; two brothers, Clinton Matteson of
 Cuba and Harold Matheson of California; a sister, Evena Freeman of
 Wellsville; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
 nephews.
 Funeral services will be held Thursday in Friendship.

 Carlton B. Lowder

 Carlton Boner Lowder, 85, of 528 W. Valley Drive, Bristol, Va., died
 Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
 He was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., and graduated from the University of
 North Carolina in 1934. He was employed with Haynes Knitting Mills in 1934,
 Tennessee Eastman Co. in 1935 and moved to Bristol in 1938, when he joined
 Dent K. Burk Associates and was later leader of the organization for many
 years. He remained active until three years ago. Mr. Lowder was a member of
 First Baptist Church of Bristol. He was a trustee of the church and Virginia
 Intermont College. He served on the Board of Directors of the Bristol Cancer
 Society.
 Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Annett Johnson Lowder; a son, Dr. Stephen
 C. Lowder of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Annette L. Burton of New York
 City; a sister, Doris Wright of Butler, Pa.; four grandchildren; two
 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in First Baptist Church
 by Akard Funeral Home of Bristol, Tenn. Dr. Rand Forder will officiate. Burial
 will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
 Among survivors are grandchildren Merdith and Katherine Lowder, Staff Sgt.
 John P. Burton and Lewis C. Burton; and great-grandchildren James and Ellen
 Burton.

 POUND -- Charles Newman "Red" Mullins died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in
 Norton Community Hospital.
 He was a son of the late Lloyd Mullins and Florence Jones Mullins. He was of
 the Baptist faith, a 1941 graduate of Milligan College and a U.S. Army veteran.
 He was employed in the mobile home sales industry until his retirement.
 Surviving are his wife, Cora Baker Mullins; two daughters, Tamara Mullins
 Dean of Lancaster, Ky., and Jill Baker Mullins of San Diego, Calif.; two sons,
 Charles "Chuck" Mullins of Kingsport and Jack Baker Mullins of Wise; three
 brothers, Fred Mullins of Pound, Nile Mullins of Kingsport and Kenneth
 Mullins of Crofton, Md.; a granddaughter; two step-grandsons; and several
 nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in Sadie Baker Memorial
 Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Clyde Roop will officiate. Burial will
 be in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap.

 GLADE SPRING -- Beatrice Mullins O'Quinn, 72, formerly of Haysi, died
 Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at her home.
 She was a daughter of the late, W.R. and Sarah Mullins and lived in Glade
 Spring for the past 30 years. She was a member of Hopkin's View Primitive
 Baptist Church and the widow of Ollie Lee O'Quinn.
 Surviving are two daughters, Judy Gillespie of Glade Spring and Sherry Sutton
 of Meadowview; three sons, Danny O'Quinn of Coeburn, Bob O'Quinn of
 Raleigh, N.C., and Scotty O'Quinn of Glade Spring; six sisters, Gay Epling of
 Columbus, Ohio, Marie Helms of Gordonsville, Va., Nell Bailey of Haysi,
 Betty Deel and Ruby Compton, both of Fairborn, Ohio, and Elizabeth Cantrell
 of Winchester, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel.
 Burial will be in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
 Mrs. O'Quinn was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Sue
 O'Quinn.

 Matthew Sutton and Jenny Sutton; and special friends Sue O'Quinn and Alice

 Rosa C. Powell

 ABINGDON -- Rosa C. Powell, 94, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in
 Johnston Memorial Hospital.
 She was born in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Thomas B.
 and Maria Black Clark. She lived most of her life in Washington County and
 was the widow of Landon Powell. She was a member of Charles Wesley
 United Methodist Church, where she was organist and pianist for many years.
 Surviving are a grandson, Terry White; four great-nephews; a great-niece; and
 several nieces and nephews.
 Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. in Forest Hills Memory
 Gardens by Farris Funeral Service. Those attending may assemble at the
 funeral home at 2:15 p.m. Friday for the 2:45 p.m. procession to the cemetery.
 Mrs. Powell was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Anderson; and
 two sisters, Mildred Anderson and Nellie Sue Luckey.
 Among survivors are a niece, Marie B. Fugate of Abingdon; great-nephews,
 Billy Fugate and Tommy Fugate, both of Norfolk, Va., James "Mike" Fugate
 of Bristol Virginia and Craig Fugate of Kingsport; a sister-in-law, Clara Daggs
 of Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews in Baltimore.
 Pallbearers will be Billy Fugate, Tommy Fugate, Mike Fugate, Craig Fugate,
 Terry Whitten and John Sheffey.
 There will be no visitation in Farris Funeral Service.

 Robert Benjamin Smith, formerly of Highway 11-W, Bristol, Tenn., died
 Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

 DANTE. Va. -- Funeral services for Tommy McNeal Sutherland will be
 conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Huff-Cook Funeral Home Chapel in

 Cemetery at Hazel Mountain, Va.
 Mr. Sutherland, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at his home.

 Ethel B. Tiller

 COUNCIL, Va. -- Ethel Ball Tiller, 93, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at her
 home.
 She was a lifelong resident of Council and a daughter of the late Spencer
 Tunnell and Cynthia McGraw Ball. She was a member of Bee Pentecostal
 Holiness Church and the Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a
 homemaker and the widow of Virdie Franklin Tiller.
 Surviving are two daughters, Loraine Farmer of Honaker and Jean Compton of
 Council; three sons, Jim Tiller and Ferrell Tiller, both of Council, and Jerry
 Compton of Vansant, Va.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three
 great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Honaker Funeral
 Home Chapel. The Rev. Carson Powers will officiate. Burial will be in Frank
 Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, near Honaker.
 Mrs. Tiller was also preceded in death by three sons, Vernon Tiller, Loye
 "Duke" Tiller and Ausroe Tiller.

 Mr. Waddell, 66, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, in Smyth County Community
 Hospital.
 He was born in Smyth County, a son of the late Ray and Maggie Waddell, and
 lived most of his life there. He retired from American Bakery.
 Surviving are his wife, Carol Heffinger Waddell; a son, Keith Waddell of
 Marion; a daughter, Barbara Waddell of Nashville; a sister, Shirley Storie of
 Fredericksburg, Va.; two brothers, Roy Waddell of Newport News, Va., and
 Carl Waddell of Thornsburg, Va.; three nephews; and 10 nieces.

 Jake W. Booher, 88, of 1424 Eades Ave., Bristol, Va., died Wednesday,
 Dec. 1, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
 He was a lifelong resident of Bristol Virginia and a retired employee of Twin
 City Iron and Metal with 62 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and
 the widower of Bernice Morton Booher.
 Surviving are a daughter, Betty Jo Fowler of Bluff City; two sisters, Mildred
 Bridgeman and Roxie McGlamary, both of Bristol Virginia; four grandchildren;
 and three great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in
 Mountain View Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Burnette will officiate.
 Mr. Booher was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Booher.
 Among survivors is a daughter-in-law, Rosa Booher.

 SALTVILLE -- Willie Eugene "Ginie" Call, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 1,

 He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
 Surviving are his wife, Elsie Call; a brother, Buddy Call of Saltville; a sister,
 Wanda Crouse of Saltville; and several nieces and nephews.

 Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Annette Johnson Lowder; a son, Dr.

 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was born in Abingdon, a son of the late Fred Clifton and Davie May
 Campbell Parks. He lived in Richmond for many years before returning to
 Abingdon several years ago. He was a member of Sinking Spring Presbyterian
 Church.
 Surviving are a daughter, Allyson Emma Parks of Richmond; and a son,

 the widower of Ellen Orlena Smith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World

 and Maria Elizabeth Arrants Bullock. He was the widower of Lillian Boyd

 late Mack Flack Sr. She spent her early childhood in Kingsport and at age 14

 Washington, D.C., and was employed as secretary to the dean of Howard
 University for 15 years. She moved to Detroit and was employed by the
 federal government for 30 years, retiring in 1994. She was of the Baptist faith.
 Surviving, besides her mother, are three brothers, Walter Flack of Boston and
 Arthur Flack and James Donald Flack, both of Kingsport; three sisters,
 Carolyn Goodwin and Denise Domas, both of Kingsport, and Barbara
 Williams of Boston; four nephews; and five nieces.

 She was born in Lodi, Va., a daughter of the late Samuel Richard and Lue Ella
 Widner Moser. She was the widow of Walter M. Cook.
 She was employed for 20 years with the Bel Air Manufacturing Co. as a
 seamstress and attended the Delta Senior Center.

 Frances M. Neeley and Mary Sue Blevins, both of Cockeysville, Md.; 20
 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

 from Newport News Shipbuilding in 1994 after 20 years of service.

 Dr. Graves, 88, of 113 Ridgewood Drive, Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec.
 2, 1999, at his home.
 He was born in Bluefield, Va., and lived in Kirksville, Mo., before moving to
 Bristol. He attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated from Bluefield
 College and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
 He practiced medicine in Bristol from 1940 until is retirement in 1987. He was
 a longtime Baptist, serving as deacon, elder and Sunday School teacher at
 Euclid Avenue Baptist Church and Covenant Baptist Church. Most recently, he
 was a member of First Baptist Church in Bluff City.
 He was a Gideon, a Rotarian, and a member of the Advisory Board of
 Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. He was a member of the
 Board of Trustees at Virginia Intermont College and a member of the Board of
 Directors at Haggai Institute in Atlanta.
 Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn Dawkins Graves; three
 daughters, Elizabeth Thompson and Christine Carrico, both of Bristol, and
 Jeanne Stringer of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Dr. Harwood James of Bluefield;
 seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 Among survivors are sons-in-law, Tal Thompson and Ron Carrico, both of
 Bristol, and Mike Stringer of Seattle; grandchildren, Bill Thompson of Seattle,

 lived in New Jersey since 1945. He was a veteran of World War II.

 resident of the Cedar Bluff area.

 Baptist Church in Mount Dora, Fla., was a retired insurance agent with
 Nationwide Insurance and was former owner//operator of Roy's Barber Shop
 in Abingdon.

 of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Roy D. Powers Jr. of Stickleyville, Va.; four

 He attended King College, was a retired general superintendent for Holston

 II. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge, a life member of the Board of
 Directors of American Red Cross, a member of American Legion and a
 59-year member of Post Q of TPA. He was a former member of the Lions
 Club and Bristol Country Club.

 Bristol Tennessee; a sister, Doris Harkrader of Bristol Virginia; three nieces
 and a nephew.

 He was a lifelong resident of Bristol Tennessee, a son of Marl Cross of Bristol
 Tennessee, and was of the Baptist faith.
 Surviving, besides his mother, are a daughter, Melissa Ann Cross of Bristol
 Virginia; a son, Raymond Scott Cross of Bristol Virginia; three sisters, Cora L.
 Shupe of Orrville, Ohio, and Nancy S. Cross and Hazel S. Gentry, both of
 Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Bruce D. Cross of Blountville; a grandson; and
 several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Weaver Funeral
 Home Chapel. Pastor Tom Hicks Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Tri-Cities
 Memory Gardens.

 She was the widow of Lawrence George Hess.

 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

 Baptist minister for over 40 years and served as pastor of several local Free
 Will Baptist Churches. He was employed as business manager for Barnette
 Contractors for 27 years until his recent retirement and served as chaplain at
 Norton Community Hospital and Wise Appalachian Regional Hospital for
 several years.
 Surviving are his wife, Peggy Anderson Kilgore; three daughters, Mrs. Harold
 (Patti) Stanley, Mrs. Nick (Libby) Rogers and Mrs. Jeff (Nancy) Roberts, all
 of Wise; two sons, Dr. James Harold Kilgore Jr. of Greeneville, Tenn., and the
 Rev. David L. Kilgore of Nashville; a brother, Fred Kilgore of Norton; and

 Stacey Kiser. He lived in Bluefield, Va., for 32 years prior to moving to
 Asheville, N.C., in 1990.
 He retired in 1972 as sales manager with Peoples Life Insurance Co. He was a
 member of Abernathy United Methodist Church in Asheville and a former
 member of Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va. He was
 a member of the Masonic Lodge in Berwind, W.Va., a U.S. Army veteran of
 World War II and a member of the VFW and American Legion in Bluefield,
 W.Va.
 Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline T. Kiser; two sons, Paul David Kiser of
 Carson City, Nev., and Donald Malcolm Kiser of Asheville; a daughter, Janice
 Rebecca Kiser of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a stepson, Steven Michael Summey of

 RAVEN -- Stella Mae Boyd, 80, of Route 1, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, in
 a Bluefield, W.Va., hospital.
 She was born in Buchanan County, a daughter of the late Washington and
 Bessie Osborne. She was a member of Pilgrim Knob Church of God and the
 Keen Mountain Pentecostal Holiness Church.
 Surviving are her husband, Cloyd Boyd; three daughters, Mrs. Dallas (Anna
 Ruth) Horne and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Keen, both of Clifton Fork, Va., and Mrs.
 Bill (Ellen) Gray of Conway, S.C.; a son, John Boyd of Clifton Fork; three
 sisters, Ora Foran of Cedar Bluff, Cora Arnold of Raven and Ollie Ward of
 Chincotague Island, Va.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Buchanan Funeral
 Service Chapel in Keen Mountain, Va. Don Smith and the Rev. Randy Webb
 will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va.
 Mrs. Boyd was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Boyd; and three
 brothers, Milton, Jeff and Beverly Osborne.
 Among survivors are a daughter-in-law, Wilma Boyd of Clifton Fork; and
 special children of Hal and Naomi Clifton.
 Pallbearers will be J.R. Horne, Tracy Gray, Cloyd Clifton, Dwayne Keen, Paul
 Hackworth, Sonny Lane, David Clifton and Timmy Osborne.

 ITMANN, W.Va. -- Funeral services for Mandy Ethel Neal Clark will be
 conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Hagy Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Glen

 Mrs. Clark, 76, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in a Raleigh County, W.Va.,

 Vida W. Clark

 MARION -- Vida Ilene "Teed" Warren Clark, 69, died Saturday at her home.
 She was born in Grayson County, a daughter of the late Preston Gamble and
 Treva Britton Warren. She lived most of her life in Marion, was of the Baptist
 faith and the widow of Thomas Ray Clark. She was employed at Hungry
 Mother State Park for several years and was a cook at the Marion Primary
 School for over 10 years.
 Surviving are three daughters, Linda Parks and Diane Bush, both of Marion,
 and Anita Ross of Sugar Grove, Va.; four sisters, Gaye Johnson of Fort
 Howard, Md., JoAnn Phipps and Joyce Phipps, both of Independence, Va.,
 and Carol Simmons of Comers Rock, Va.; four grandchildren; and a
 great-grandson.
 Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Bradley's Funeral
 Home. The Revs. Steve Hutton and Kenny Price will officiate. Burial will be in
 New Hope Cemetery in Grayson County.
 Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Hal Warren;
 and stepmother, Ellen Warren.
 Among survivors are grandchildren, Penny and Jimmy May, Angie and Roger
 Blevins, Cynthia and Sam Osborne; and Crystal Bush and Bobby Battaglia; a
 great-grandson, Matthew May; two sons-in-law, Ivan E. Ross and Dennis
 Bush; aunt, Faye Burnop; and special friend, Edith Blevins.

 RAVEN, Va. -- Margaret Ona Mae Davis, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, in
 a Richlands hospital.
 She was born in Tazewell County, Va., a daughter of the late Jack and Sarah
 Duggar Byrd.
 She was a member of Raven Pentecostal Church of God in Raven.
 Surviving are three sons, Bobby Davis, Mitchell Davis and Doug Davis, all of
 Raven; five daughters, Mrs. George (Frances) Whitener of Hickory, N.C.,
 Mrs. Clarence (Wanda) Brown of Richlands and Mrs. Daymon (Darlene)
 Cordle, Mrs. Otis (Irene) Johnson and Mrs. Jerry (Pat) Shelton, all of Raven;
 three brothers, Jackie Byrd of Wilmington, Ohio, Loyd Byrd of Hickory, N.C.,
 and Ellis Byrd of Jewell Ridge, Va.; two sisters, Gladys Evans of Dayton,
 Ohio, and Ruby Winkler of Hickory, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; and 14
 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Singleton Funeral
 Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Revs. Clarence Brown and Raymond
 Ferrell will officiate. Burial will be in Proffitt Cemetery in Horton Ridge, Va.
 Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by a brother, McClell Byrd; two
 sisters, Bernice Walters and Velma Clines; and three grandchildren, Melissa
 Davis, Terry Whitener and Sarge Johnson.
 Among survivors are three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Bobby (Betty) Davis, Mrs.
 Mitchell (Barbara) Davis and Mrs. Doug (Barbara) Davis, all of Raven; and a
 host of friends and neighbors.
 Mrs. Davis was a faithful supporter for 14 years of the Air of Deliverance
 Ministries.

 Francis Kirkland.
 She was a member of the Christian church most of her life and served as
 mission secretary and organist for First Christian Church Hessville, Hammond,
 Ind. She was a member of Hales Chapel Christian Church in Gray.
 Surviving are three sons, John Thomas Kirkland of Indianapolis, Richard
 Kirkland of Bluff City and Donald Kirkland of Gray; 10 grandchildren; and

 WALLS, Miss. -- Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in
 Holding Funeral Home Chapel in Big Stone Gap, Va. Pastor Wayne Poteet

 Mr. Quillen, 34, formerly of Big Stone Gap, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in The
 Med in Memphis, Tenn., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile
 accident.
 He was born in Big Stone Gap, a son of the late Herschel Reed Quillen and
 Georgia Junell Phillips Quillen. He was a 1983 graduate of Powell Valley High
 School, a 1990 graduate of Clinch Valley College and was employed as a
 chemist with Cargill Inc. in Memphis. He was of the Baptist faith.
 Surviving are his wife, Maryls Giles Quillen; two sisters, Kathy Vernon and
 Brenda Smith, both of Big Stone Gap; two nephews; and two nieces.
 Among survivors are brothers-in-law, Jim Vernon and William C. Smith, both
 of Big Stone Gap; two nephews, Brent Vernon of St. Louis, Mo., and Shawn
 Smith of Duffield, Va.; two nieces, Kristie Qualls of Duffield and Cindy Bishop
 of Big Stone Gap; several uncles; and an aunt.
 He also leaves behind his pet dog, Sooner.
